If you're wondering why people suggested you listen to Devil Trigger first before Bury The Light, it's because the ending of Bury The Light (the final vocals and guitar solo) have a light motif of Devil Trigger. Casey's explained that he did that in order to connect the songs together because of the character's connection to each other in the story of the games. There's even a few lyrics that also connect Nero and Vergil together. Casey is an absolute genius and this song truly is a work of art! Glad you enjoyed it!

Devil may cry, like starwars, is basically super-powered family drama. Main plot point the whole damn time is two brothers (Dante and Vergil) constantly smacking eachother trying to be better than the other.
I think the important thing to remember about video game music is that it accompanies video games. So a lot of it is produced to work in concert with the visuals of the game; DMC music works so well because it really matches the tone of the game visually. I think Bury the Light works so well because of how heavy it is compared to the more irreverent rave music that Devil Trigger has. Can’t believe I’ve heard this before you man. This song gets me motivated 😈 jokes aside this song is amazing I’ve used this for background music for so many action games, have had this on repeat at the gym multiple times…it’s just 9 minutes of pure motivation
I love this song so much, that whenever I got out in public, I put this on repeat in my noise-cancelling headphones, and just have it in the background. Just a bit of motivation, and something to focus on that's not that I'm around a lot of people.
you've already listened to three of the best Devil May Cry songs out there, so here's another from me. Shall Never Surrender from Devil May Cry 4. it's pretty good too.
Devil Trigger, Subhuman and Crimson Cloud are the themes of Nero, Dante and V respectively. I'd recommend listening to them all because they're all great.
Plenty of songs in games that hit so hard you just ascend for a moment as your getting folded just to enjoy the music, yes it's worth it without a doubt
Seeing you react to DMC music for the first time is priceless. Such a cool series with such honest don't-give-a-damn tunes. Not sure if you check comments for requests, but I see you react to a lot of FFXIV music. There's another online game out there with a really unique and banging soundtrack called Phantasy Star Online 2. A few of the songs in that game took me completely by surprise, but very few content creators are reacting to them, or even know about the game's soundtrack. If you find the time, check out The Phantom Race - Esca Falz Mother Rideroid Part and Borderless for a couple of absolute bangers.
I love this song so much, I don't know how many times I listen to this song during the day. Some DMC songs I recommend you to listen one day are Subhuman (Dante's battle theme from dmc5), and two songs from the DMC reboot: Never Surrender by Combichrist and Lilith's Club by Noisia. Great channel btw :)
Just in case nobody told you this yet... Even though the video shows Dante and Vergil fighting, this song is Vergils default battle theme in DMC 5^^ Also yes, that was in-game footage^^
Don't know if you'll see this or not but Darksiders 2 themes, like The Guardian OST, The Archon Battle Theme, The Crowfather Battle theme all composed by Jesper Kyd are awesome and definitely worth listening to. They're not songs, they're instrumentals.
Love to see that you got into the groove pretty much from the start haha, this song is a masterpiece. Vacant Surrender is a new collab track by the both of them, can recommend man. (Also you've probably already been corrected but Victor Borba is the Vocalist) :)
YESSS this is one of my faves, so stoked to watch this one I felt that, fastest ten minutes of my life lol 😂 sometimes I keep it on repeat and time just flies by, it's great when waiting for something while having nothing else to do
Since you heard Bury the Light, a recommendation of the Devil May Cry 5 soundtrack is Voltaic Black Knight, although it is only instrumental, it is enjoyed too much. I hope you hear her I love your videos
Loved the video! This is how I react to the song every time I hear it! It's soooo good. Don't know if anyone mentioned it but Victor and Casey have another song together called Vacant Surrender and it is also awesome! :D
Glad you enjoyed it. This is basically an encapsulation of Vergil. The violins are references to V, there's references to some of the Devil May Cry comics, there's a passage adapted from a William Blake poem, and part of the guitar solo is lifted straight from, "Devil Trigger," because Vergil is Nero's father. Next you should do, "Fire Inside," which is also by Casey Edwards and Victor Borba, and, "Bury the Cringe a.k.a. Biboo Delight," by Koseki Bijou, who is a Hololive member and a certified Vergil fangirl who sang a parody version after she completed a Vergil playthrough with Casey Edwards watching in the stream (yes, seriously) with a video edited by Ludokano.
What I like about your reaction is that, even though I was watching on my tablet & covering the visuals with my palm ('cause I want to experience the game one day), just seeing the joy on your face reacting to the song has given me enough entertainment, and it speaks volumes about your expressivity, because we are very visual-focused creatures. Seeing people enjoy this masterpiece of a song is my evening jam, because experiencing it again through people experiencing it for the first time is .... it just transposes me back to when I first heard the song. I've gotta say, during your reaction I had the biggest, shit-eating grin you can possibly imagine :D Play DMC man, I haven't played the latest one, but even so, I hear it's the bee's knees. The game has a combo meter in the game that increases as you get hits. The cool part is that the music will ramp up based on your combos for each of the different characters. It makes everything so effortlessly cinematic.
Another really sick song is BFG Division From 2016's Doom. Have a feeling you'll love it.
bury the light is the best song in all of dmc across all games imo. also being so entranced by a song that it doesn't let you think is so good. also! i'm sure nobody would mind you commenting on other stuff that isn't just how good the song is lol, even if this is a music channel. seeing any appreciation on any part of games and songs we love is always a great experience
All I did was listen to this song when it first came out 😂 it's like an opera. I would happily go to opera and they can just perform this and standing ovation from me!
This franchise really made a before and after, even bring me into what I am, what I like today and I'm freaking happy with it.
Playing the games, get to know the story better and listening to these songs really gives you Goosebumps.
A must play for me and my personal recommendation 🎰
This is a generation where new songs are the lead of the world.
Bury The Light is a starter and I'm glad for it. Thank you videogames! ❤️
devil may cry has had a number of true bangers over the years,
ultra violet of dmc1
never surrender of dmc4
divine hate from dmc3
cerberus theme from dmc3
cavillere Angelo of dmc5. all incredible songs.
but bury the light is the best song to of come from this series aside from devils never cry.
I hope that when this series continues. Casey Edward's remains a composer
This is what happens when a fan makes something for what he truly loves.
The fact that Victor Borba Is involved with huge projects such as ffxiv with endwalker's theme and this, shows how far that man's gonna go.
PS: i hear so much of Mick Gordon in this. That bass distortion is sick!
Wait- no way!? That was him?? Victor Borba in EW soundtrack?
Edit: involved with the production but not singing..?
This song is the best Devil may cry song to date, no questions.
Never bored listening to it, I love to sing it but some high notes I cannot reach, damn it !
I'm not gonna lie. This is the best song out of all DMC songs, period. You've found the top of the mountain. It's a good thing you listened to Devil Trigger first... shame you didn't hear Nero's other battle theme from DMC4 before now, though.
Literally one of the best songs I've heard in a game and life. This song is gonna haunt me forever
Devil May Cry is a series known for sadness, heartwarmingness and melancholy, you'll notice this in pretty much every Lyrical theme (minus DmC) that exists.
Powerful music for a powerful being.... a MOTIVATED BEING! >:3
The DMC franchise is one of the video games that has amazing soundtracks.
Devil May Cry 5 is probably my favourite game in the series, I played the others but the this music and build up is a must play on the Vergil boss fight
5:40 I see what you did there.
to give context for those who don't know; Arkham, the bald-headed guy, as he walks away from vergil he says the line, "A storm is approaching".
I have been following your channel for quite a while now and I'm loving every single video. As a Final Fantasy fan and lotta other games, I'm grateful for the content you are making. Love your energy and how sincere and passionate you are about what you are doing. Please keep up the good work!
My first time requesting something: Subhuman (Dante's Battle Theme from Devil May Cry 5) ^^
Thank you! Hopefully beginning of November 🤍
@@JessesAuditorium If you take a listen to Subhuman, make sure you listen to the OST version. The most common version of it on TH-cam is the in-game version which is missing certain things from the OST version.
He just heard the song and watch gameplay and it's enough to say "i'm gonna play dmc" we all did the same thing, it's totally worth dmc is a pretty good franchise, and all of it's games has a pretty good soundtracks too
After hearing this song you have gained POWER AND MOTIVATION
Can’t believe I’ve heard this before you man. This song gets me motivated 😈 jokes aside this song is amazing I’ve used this for background music for so many action games, have had this on repeat at the gym multiple times…it’s just 9 minutes of pure motivation
I think judgement cut-End is probably the sickest fucking final move in any video game
“idk what’s coming after that”
Well I for one am
this song is easily the best track in the entire dmc series
I love this song so much, that whenever I got out in public, I put this on repeat in my noise-cancelling headphones, and just have it in the background. Just a bit of motivation, and something to focus on that's not that I'm around a lot of people.
This one of the best song I’ve heard in my hole life
you've already listened to three of the best Devil May Cry songs out there, so here's another from me.
Shall Never Surrender from Devil May Cry 4. it's pretty good too.
I don’t even listen to rock music and i m hooked to this masterpiece.
Devil Trigger, Subhuman and Crimson Cloud are the themes of Nero, Dante and V respectively. I'd recommend listening to them all because they're all great.
Fuck, love me some Subhuman. Definitely hope he listens to them.
You should listen to Vacant Surrender, another Colab of Victor and Casey on the same vein of this song, amazing stuff
(9:09) I Can't stop hearing This Song. Fuck, I'm listening for the fifteenth time today alone, help this is my favorite part
Plenty of songs in games that hit so hard you just ascend for a moment as your getting folded just to enjoy the music, yes it's worth it without a doubt
I genuinely believe this is the greatest song ever made.
Virgil, the beginning and the end
I love this song so much, I don't know how many times I listen to this song during the day. Some DMC songs I recommend you to listen one day are Subhuman (Dante's battle theme from dmc5), and two songs from the DMC reboot: Never Surrender by Combichrist and Lilith's Club by Noisia. Great channel btw :)
BFG Division from DOOM 2016. It'll melt your ears.
The song is dynamic during gameplay as well, with higher skilled play rewarding you with the more bombastic parts of the song.
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH
Get this man all the mainline Devil May Cry games!! Full play through man You will love them!!
Just in case nobody told you this yet...
Even though the video shows Dante and Vergil fighting, this song is Vergils default battle theme in DMC 5^^
Also yes, that was in-game footage^^
This song is the Masterpiece of DMC. My favourite will always be Devils never cry but THIS ONE is beyond perfect...
This is probably the best song to come out in a while and the best trailer for me was endwalker
When he says "Vergil" he literally sounded like Dante saying it.
YESSS this is one of my faves, so stoked to watch this one
I felt that, fastest ten minutes of my life lol 😂 sometimes I keep it on repeat and time just flies by, it's great when waiting for something while having nothing else to do
"No, TH-cam, I do not agree to your term of service. It is YOU who will follow MY term of service."
Bury the Light is on almost all of my playlists right beside Sins of the Father and Snake Eater (both from Metal Gear and highly recommended!)
if you've never heard "A phantom pain" from MGSV I would highly recommend it, might be one of my favorites from the MGSV soundtrack.
@@Malficious MGSV, while maybe not the best game in the series, absolutely nailed the OST.
love snake eater 🍷
It's funny you mention the MGS songs as I play them together with Bury the Light during my exercise...they give off the same hyping energy...
Since you heard Bury the Light, a recommendation of the Devil May Cry 5 soundtrack is Voltaic Black Knight, although it is only instrumental, it is enjoyed too much.
I hope you hear her I love your videos
I haven't played dmc but I've been looking at the story recently, and the relationship between dante and vergil is honestly amazing
This is what plays when you drive away from changing a strangers tire on the side of the interstate.
Glad you liked this one a lot, looking forward to your other reactions ^^
You are a very bright and kind guy
thanks for that
When you started nodding your head, i was like "Yep it got him just like the rest of us"
Loved the video! This is how I react to the song every time I hear it! It's soooo good. Don't know if anyone mentioned it but Victor and Casey have another song together called Vacant Surrender and it is also awesome! :D
the fact that the song is 10 minutes long and we still listen to it on a dialy basis and never gets old is just mindblowing
Peace & rock on! \m/
:D! ty
You've heard Nero and Virgil next would be Dante's theme Subhuman
Soon hopefully! Need more DMC in my ear holes
@@JessesAuditorium you're gonna like it 😎
This song perfectly represents Vergil's life.
You really should play it. The sick thing about the combat is that the song plays different verses depending on how well you play. So it matches whats on screen depending on how well you do.
