SEMA 2019 Jeep Gladiator Truck and JL Wrangler Products Accessories WAYALIFE Pre Show Coverage Day 1

- Back in 2018, the Jeep JL Wrangler was all the rage at SEMA. For 2019, it's clearly the year of the JT Gladiator. Anyone who's anyone has brought one out to the show and to show off all the cool new products they're making for them. Of course, the show doesn't officially start until Tuesday but Cindy and I are out here anyway and to take you along for a virtual of what we've been seeing. This would include a Gladiator pick up truck brought out by Dobisons, General Tire and Bilstein as well as a nice overland one complete with an Adventure Trailer Nemo roof top tent that Black Rhino Wheels brought out, one that was built for BOLT by Doetsch Off-Road and a super pretty one that Dropstar had on display at their booth. We hope you enjoy this first of our two pre-show coverage videos and we hope that you'll keep checking back all week to see what else we come across. As usual Eddie you do the best videos and I am big fan, I'll be glad when you get back to doing Jeeps again. I have a truck and it does what it is intended to do. Haul and tow stuff. I don't do overlanding and probably never will due to work, but I do love my JL for trail rides on the weekend and love learning all the stuff you put out for us newer Jeep owners. Keep up the good work, love your SEMA videos so far man!

The factory spare location is a great place to store a trailer spare when you have large tires on the jeep

The company that built that last jt for bilstein, is high lift offroad. They're my local go-to offroad shop in Cincinnati and they're a great group of guys that do quality work!

Love the videos, keep them coming! Please don't leave out the JL'S while you are covering all these Gladiators. Many of us are still waiting for JL solutions to hit the market. It's hard to remember with all this hype that the JL was the newest big deal only a year ago and the aftermarket hasn't caught up in a lot of areas.

The JT was built BY Highlift Offroad FOR bilstein. I’ll be there today installing more parts if you’d like to meet up and do a walk around?
Sorry I didn't jump on the Gladiator band wagon, although they can look really cool once built up, but once you get them ready for overland with top tents and all the bells and whistles you have to also carry a whole gas station with you as well because now you get 6 to 11 mpg. Counter productive. Imo.

True custom fabrication sure seems to have taken a back seat in the jeep world last couple of years. Everythings bolt on anymore... which has its ups and downs.
OS RR I'm hoping to see more fabrication as well, specifically conversions to Four season overlanders. I think next year we'll see more of those.
I know it may be hard to understand but this is SEMA, a show specifically for manufacturers of specialty equipment as in, things that people can buy in a box and install on their cars, trucks and Jeeps. Fabrication isn't exactly something you can sell in a box.
I will agree 100% the Oracle grille is a total mess. Had it on my JKU nothing but trouble. My JKU got totaled by some A-Hole running a red light. The grill, however is on my workbench, as I needed to pass inspection. A thousand dollar life lesson. Don't buy it.

I’ve never seen track bar elimination like the rock crawler lift on that red gladiator. What would be the purpose of that?
Allows for better flex and prevents your axle from shifting side to side with vertical travel.

Hi Eddie, I have a jl Rubicon in Australia, last weekend took it for run the mud and sand covered it! I've noticed all the jl and it's run small fenders. Don't the sides of your jeeps get damaged from no protection? I am looking for fender extensions !! Thanks Danny
The door hinges and rear fenders get beat up for sure. I've added some 3M clear protection to the hinges and that helps. if you have painted fenders, the rears should already have it but will need to be replaced from time to time. Things that fly up on the doors should clean up fine.
The blue one on drop star is custom painted. That's not stock

I don't think there are many 07 Liberties at SEMA to show....
LOL - if we come across some stuff for either, we'll try to cover it but this is SEMA and for the most part, manufacturers are trying to sell products to customers with vehicles that are currently being made. Sure, there are exceptions to the rule but that's all they are, exceptions.

I have a good question. What would happen to the Auto step Rock sliders if you're sitting on one of the sliders and you get out of the vehicle would that mess up the step?
