My thoughts exactly on the new Gladiator. I wish they had made it look more like the Nukaiser concept truck from a few years back. Its cool because its a Jeep truck but visually its unappealing.
I'd have to say the Stradman jt is the beast I could have a lot of fun with. All the others that you've shown are very cool, and it would be difficult to pick one. Thanks Ed and Cindy for sharing your experience at SEMA.
I’ve ALWAYS preferred the seven slot grill and it disappoints me anytime someone changes it. Even simple changes like angry eyes turn my stomach, HOWEVER, there’s something about that “chief” grill that I like. (Don’t tell anyone) I don’t know if it’s that retro look or the aggressive nose, but that rugged ridge Jeep looked kinda cool.
It's cool and I liked it better when Mopar was playing around with it on their concept rigs but that was years ago and I guess I'm just kind of over it.
Rugged ridge would of looked better with different bumpers maybe a Evo quarter pounder or maybe a classic chrome bumper to break up all the black chrome grill would of looked better too and real gladiator or j10 fenders with out the jl and jt vent
I didnt like the Rugged Ridge after market grill. If the word thats out is right - about the new Diesel having a lower towing capacity than 3.6 due to overheating- then aesthetic retro grill replacements should be avoided at all cost. (That, and it was fugly!)
I like the relatively low/slammed appearance for a daily driver or something that’s only going off road once or twice a year. Folks can put big stuff on their Jeep it’s their gas money.
5:36 They must have got together and done a group buy. At a glance, all 5 TJs have the same flares, and 3 of the 5 have the same tires. Cool program though. We didn't have that kind of stuff going on in the schools back in my day.

Most of the builds as a whole are just ridiculous, however, it is useful such that the company can show each of different offerings. For me it confirms if you go with one mfg for everything, you wind up with a total mess of a package. Now to see if that RR snorkel will work with a Gobi rack.
What we all really want is that old school Gladiator grille on the Rugged ridge truck. The one place FCA really missed the mark is right up front where the world can see it.
Waiting to see the rugged ridge snorkel. I love the look coming out the side and not having to cut the hood or run a large tube next to the hood. Ever since I saw it on the videos from SEMA 2018 I wanted it and they haven't released anything about it. I figured it died.
LOL - I personally like Jeeps that "are" aggressive because of their components and how they are built, this as opposed to just "looking" aggressive because of a grill that was installed. But clearly, to each their own 😎

Great video as always. I think I kind of like the grill on the Rugged Ridge JT. I have started to see some on JK's. Got to look at one up close a couple weeks ago at a jeep jamboree and I think it looks better on the galdiator.

I agree 100 percent about the JT looking like a JL or Srambler. But I'm with you,that grill is close but still a ways off.
