I was on G.C.N's channel the other day and there was a bunch of people talking pretty bad about Ol' Doddy in the Comment section.. saying he's a proper bike snob and was putting peoples bikes down at a bike meet, there was a few people saying similar stuff .. but I've never seen that side of him at all, He seems chill af and never heard Him being snobbish about peoples set-ups etc, and until I SEE THAT FOR MYSELF.. Then I don't care what they say, there was a couple of people chime in on Doddy's side (me included tho) and there was never any reply back sooo... meh.. I ain't listenning to 'em.

Dangerholm is an amazing guy. I have seen some of his builds. They all are incredible.
I rode with Gustav few time, in our small city in Sweden, Ok he 's making crazy bike, but also, he is very fast with them !!!
I could tell you just by looking at that guys legs that the guy can pedal...
Bike parts to save the day story: mid lockdown in Australia, everything closed. My aquarium filter o-rings busted and started leaking all over the floor. Day before I serviced my wife's rockshock rebas. Turns out the O-rings left over were exactly the same as the broken ones on the filter. Wife said it was good karma for servicing her bike 😄.
Talk about coincidence! That’s amazing! Rock Shox o-rings on your aquarium. Bikes come in handy!
Dangerholm makes amazing bikes. He’s also a pretty chill fella and interacts with his followers on Instagram. I love what he’s doing.

pity bike shops dont offer builds for a set budget,A 1000 build 2000 build and so on.. like fork options and drive train or wheels or whatever .. some might want a cheaper groupset for a better fork or whatever ... custom your bike from the showroom ...

They probably would build you a bike if you asked them, you could choose the pets or let them do it for you

wow! i'm speachless! haven't seen a better looking bike ever and i'm not even into cross country bikes to begin with!
and the scot spark is already a good looking bike, no doubt about it and he somehow made it even better looking!
Gonna stick my neck out here, & say that Doddy possibly liked that Scott Spark. A lot! 😆 (white has always been one of the most trick frame colours!)
Matching paint on the forks to the frame looks so much cleaner. I wish the big manufacturers would go that route. I known there’s a cost blah blah but I can dream.
When I originally bought my Fat Chance Yo Eddy, I got the sus forks painted black to match. Looked slick. I wish I could get my newer forks painted too. I miss having the consistent paint job.

I have a GT Force carbon Ultra 2012 with the updated I drive. It works brilliantly, Easy to service and doesn't need messing with too often. Great 26"er.
That Scott XC bike is absolutely gorgeous.

Specialized Water looks stunning, the blending of the colours is more subtle and looks better for doing it that way.

I had the old wild on my 26" 2010 stumpy. amazing tire, loads of grip but still rolls well enough.

Hey Doddy, noticed you love your camera tech as well. You should have a look at the Ricoh GRIII for an even smaller APSC sensor camera for taking with you on the bike.
Great build! Very clean cockpit. Live valve on a gravel bike seems overkill. I'd bet just looking at the bike would get it dirty. Damn Gustav do some upper body workouts to catch up with you're Mr. Universe legs.

Had my Audi A4 for 10 years and after having the same issue with my previous A3 I have never used the rear washer during that time!
Q factor is not just a question of stability. I felt as you do - wider is better - so applied extra Q on my road bike and experienced knee pain. Pulled the spacers out and no more pain. So, if you do a lot of pedalling (eg: XC, Road, Gravel) then be careful with just setting things AWAP (as wide as possible). Your knees may not like it....... Doddy is super tall so his body structure can support a wider stance. I'm 5'11 with a 30" inseam and only found pain..... Make changes and evaluate for yourself.
His chain-ring spokes are going the wrong direction for toque! AMATEUR... ;)

Yes, I saw that too, then my eyes corrected and I saw the treads the right way. I couldn't see them the wrong way after that which was annoying.

Anyone else wondering if he'll ever actually ride it as a mountain bike should be ridden? After many years of owning completely custom mtb's, some north of $10K (and being afraid to mess them up), I will now only ever buy other peoples' "pre-scratched" bikes. Wow was that a stress-relieving decision to make!

a question for you, i'm looking at getting into enduro racing but I have a dilemma. I want to have a hydration pack on me but I can't really find many with a back protector integrated. one i found was the fox racing camber race d30 which does fit my needs of being spacious enough for my rides with the group of kids that i'm coarching, 2 liter bladder and an imbedded back protector, but it is quite expensive. do you have any suggestions on one that covers these chriteria whilst not breaking the bank.

gmbn and gmbn tech thank you for the great content , the playlists for maintance and all are really helpful for a beginner like me . i wanted to ask is there any titanium frame or cycle from good brands like canyon or scott or trek or polygon , i am not that particular about carbon fiber, i am 185 cm tall and around 95 kgs . also if you feel carbon fiber is the way to go then please explain the pros and cons of titanium and carbon fiber in a video. thank you and looking forward to more amazing videos , please make more retro tech/bikes specific videos , they were really informative. #askGMBNTECH
You should do a hacks section where you find lesser known products that are also pretty decent and money saving.
I’ve got a karrimor bum bag that I bought for £7 as I wasn’t sure it enjoy wearing a bum bag as ive heard people say they hurt their back.
Its mint, waterproof and can fit a mutli tool, tube, pump, c02, tyre levers, energy gels and protein bars as well as my phone in a separate pocket.
When it brakes I’ll buy a proper bum bag or just another one for 7 quid.
It’s survived the british winter and i use it 3 times a week.

I’m old school and prefer a proper cycling jersey with back pockets. If I need to carry more, I either use my messenger bag or my Camel Back pack. It’s like a narrow back pack and it carries a lot without getting in the way; and of course it carries a Camel Back bladder too.
@@keirfarnum6811 I use a cycling jersey in the summer too depending on how far I'm riding or what bike I'm using, for XC training rides and loops no longer than 12 miles I find chucking a gel and my phone in there (I have a zip pocket) and then the rest goes in my seat bag and that does me fine.
I used to use frame straps but they scratch the hell out of your bike and I've had stuff fall out of them before.
I mean that Scott frame can be had on Ali baba for $600
#AskGMBNTech Hi doddy, I’m fairly new to mountain biking and recently bought myself a boardman MHT 8.6 and my 12 year old son a carrera Vengences for us both to get into mountain biking together. Could you answer me one question, I bought a couple master links for both bikes in case of a chain snap while out but should I put a link in now to aid cleaning etc or leave it until chain snaps etc.

I like the look of those bum bags but I don't like the idea of having your expensive phone in the exterior pocket in basically the place that'll take an impact if one happens. I guess it's the usual ease of use over safety but still. Rather have a pocket around the front in the strap, maybe move the buckle over to the right side and put a phone pocket in the strap there. Maybe you could even make it out of a clear touch sensitive plastic so you could use the phone in the pocket or even use for another camera angle.
Might have a go at designing one myself as a graphic designer shouldn't take that much research to get done.
