    I’ve fasted for 16 hours, 24 hours and (my personal record) 39 hours. Each one, I always receive the same “hunger alert” where my body wants food at least once (usually at the same time around 5pm). After ignoring that signal for an hour it goes away. Best thing to do is.. just like a small cut or injury.. ignore it. Set your mind to other things as much and as long as your able or until you master that mindset. Stay focused on other pleasures like video games, movies, going to the gym, walking outside, spending time with your loved ones, going to bed early and getting solid sleep, etc. Be safe, do your research, drink plenty of water and start with small numbers before going for a “personal record time” of fasting. Goodluck!

I have been working out at home since the lockdown, most of it cardio in order to gain muscles and to loss belly fat, and I have had good results in term of gaining muscles. However, when Ramadan has begun I started fasting and working out less. I have been eating 2 small meals a day and I have felt hungry many times during the day, and the result was that I lost 3 kg and most of it as I can see from my belly. Today I am fasting the 27th day of Ramadan! 3 days left and Happy Eid!

    Thanks for great video! What people don't realize is when you're older it's harder to lose the weight compared to when you're young and can do a quick weight loss program and see results. I like this approach because you are asking us to think of weight loss differently, not willpower and sticking to 1 schedule which fails. Thanks!

    I agree. First, I had to cut out all of the carbs so my body was forced to use my stored fat. I learned that I needed more salt as I made that transition. After becoming fat adapted, my body was never hungry because it had plenty of calories stored on my belly. Then it became really easy to eat one day and fast one day. Eating carbs screwed up keto and made me hungry. Staying in ketosis took away the hunger.

      Eat one meal a day. You can eat whatever you want and still loose weight. Because I lost 24kgs in last 4 months by omad just eating whatever is cooked in the home and some junk food. No need to count calories.

    It's hard to lift heavy when you're 50 years old simply due to old injuries, aches and pains etc. I can't do what I did when I was 30. I now lift "heavy enough" but use super strict form and go super slow to make the most out of the amount that I'm lifting. I hope that's good enough.

    I have a great tip to lose some quick pounds but I'm not sure about health issues,it's called omad what you do is to fast for 23 hours and just eat one whole meal that meal can be anything literally anything you want to eat .and you will still loose pounds. I lost 10 pounds very quickly you can drink black coffee ,or black tea but without any sweetners which will break you fast . What I do is I sleep super late and wake up around 3pm afternoon,workout and then controll my hunger till night 8 or 9pm and eat ,I sleep around 4am ... Hope this helps

    • @JB-cd6gn
      @JB-cd6gn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are not effectively fasting while asleep, you are actually putting your body thru great stress without working up to that method. Not recommended to start with a 23 hr fast, very rough on your vascular system as blood pressure and heart rate tend to jump significantly

    • @sauravdeore8186
      @sauravdeore8186 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am doing omad (One meal a day) from last 4 months and running for 1hour in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening no gym because of lockdown and I lost 24Kgs (52pounds). I ate at 7 pm everyday about 1200kcal. My weight was 107kgs (235 pounds) at the start and now it is 83kgs (182 lb). OMAD is best for fat loss.

    I just started to get back into shape. For me I've found that I like intermittent fasting. I only eat between 11am-7pm most days (depending on schedule) some days i don't eat at all if I "pig out" the previous day. Thanks to this I don't eat as much. I also changed the way I eat. Cut out carbs and most sugar (it's a process lol) I only have the sugar with my coffee but have cut back from 2 scoops to 1. Also, drink it black. Eat more greens and vegs, stay away from processed food as much as possible, fast food as well. I still do have some on occasion. Since doing this I have a lot more energy and no crash! I don't feel as bad anymore if I binge once or twice a month because I won't be hungry for 24-27 hours. (carbs.....mainly pizza :P) Eating this way has helped me not to balloon up since my knee injury. Now that I am incorporating exercise into my daily routine I'm shedding weight like crazy. I have PT 3 x's a week and I do as many push-ups, sit-ups and squats as I can per day! Increased from 20,15,30 to 65,40,100. working my way up to 100 of each daily. From there I want to go to 150 then 200 since all the gyms are closed due to (Thy shall not be named) I just work out using my body weight at home. (may get weights but I don't have the room). Anyway, I enjoy your videos and find them very informative. I have been subscribed for a while and just now getting serious about my health and well-being. thank you for your work! Currently waiting on my 6 week challenge results!

  • @treyb387

    I'm currently dieting and exercising. One day I ate an entire pizza and an extra slice over the span of a few hours because of I was crazy hungry. I ended up losing 6 pounds over two days afterwards which was wild. I do not recommend this. But restrictive dieting helps but it peaks my cravings. My dietician recommends eating smaller meals and eating snacks between them but this just makes me want to eat constantly. I prefer eating much more satiating foods that are healthy meals and snack not at all or only a power bar or protein shake between those meals then I can let my body burn calories and then fat while in fasting mode. I'd rather stick to eating a larger meal that keeps me full. Still figuring out this diet thing though. I do love this channel and the information is incredibly helpful.

If you eliminate eating junk foods as I call them addictive foods such as refined sugars, oils and salt you will no longer “ crave “ these foods. Stop eating junk foods and you won’t be addicted to them anymore.

    So far from what I found for me in the morning and afternoon. I take multi vitamins when I'm hungry and a smoothie made from blended fruits or vegetables. For lunch time I then eat 1 large meal (which is about a large dinner plate) made of a meat of your choice, vegetables, good carbs and fats. It's pretty simple and I usually workout in the afternoon from 4pm to 8pm 5 days a week, and I work in the mornings, but to get to work I rollerblade there so it's like my morning run too.
