The main benefit of most of Husqvarna's (with a Swedish pronunciation) lineup for mass scale city bikes, is that they simply offer the most desirable package for the money within international license restrictions (35kw / 48hp). KTM with the platform already delivers great performance for the segment, and Husqvarna matches a style and material selection that actually makes the pricetag make sense. Seeing them finally move into the higher end segment with the KTM 890 platform is great.
I’d honestly love to see like a husqvarna named bike or rocket. Something like the Ktm 890 would be sweet. I just want it for the yellow blue and white color combo lol. Idk why but it looks so damn good haha
The name Husqvarna is the name of the town in Sweden where the company originated. The name translates to house-mill . (hus-kvarna). The logo has the symbol to the swedish three crowns, since the was a royal arms factory in the beginning

The Svartpilen 401 is a great looking beginner bike! I was so excited to go buy one but realized it is NOT for tall riders lol The bump on the tank gets in the way of my legs and wasn’t comfortable to ride. Looked cool though!
Yea to me as 190 it's not just fitting on the bike, it's also that the bike just feels physically small. The 890 Svart / Vitpilen that are being tested rn look to be very promising alternatives though!
The Svartpilen made it to my last 2 on the list of my beginner bikes. I decided on the Triumph Trident 660 because I fancied that engine and its noise. My dream starter bike would have had the looks of the Svart with the engine of the Triumph.
the svartpilen engine is infinitely more fun, and with a real exhaust line the sound is addictive. (the 3 cylinder too, but the basic chassis of the trident doesn't make me want to, I prefer the street 660 that one of my friends has)

It's just the typical KTM issues. The 701 is rock solid with the 690 engine. If anything is going to hold you back it's the total lack of local dealers if you do have any issues.
my 690 has 66000 km and no mechanical problems... until some electrical problems. But at the "time" (Adventure 1190 electronics) the relatively independent sound system, I can unplug the meter or even see the throttle body that it will still start.

Above all, it is likely to be quite comfortable. and yes .. the engine is coupled compared to its competitor, but is more nervous than coupled I would advise you more a 701
Be careful and spend a LOT of time going over the basics over and over again in an empty parking lot/wherever you can practice. The 660 isnt crazy but its no joke either.
They say its a decent and well specced bike with a good electronic safety net but no one here knows you to be able to advise you well. You could be a natural on 2 wheels, someone who should never swing their foot over... or anywhere in between Always depends on the individual and their previous experience etc. My 1st road bike is a MT09 which would be too much for a lot of people but having experience on smaller trail bikes and MX's I was already well versed with the basics on how to ride. Probably better going for a few lessons and hearing your instructors feedback and opinions on what kind of bike would suit your ability level as opposed to reccomending something too much for you which could put you in hospital or end you. Good luck on your journey. 😀
given the quality of the engine/chassis. I would say quite the opposite. that he does the best so that nothing has changed on it except the exhaust line and the map (for affordable prices, there is the second-hand market)
Ha ha ha, those names, those names! After you made it through those names with some breath in your lungs I have accepted your pronunciation of Hus****na good job by the way👍👍👍👍
I want a husky 401 or a honda cb300r as my first bike so bad, but i will probably injure myself riding them as i am only used to a single cylinder 110 cc scooter by honda. still i am only 19, maybe one day
I've put 1800 miles on my 2022 CB300R and 500 miles on my 2023 Svartpilen 401. Neither are too much to handle. You'll need to learn how to clutch smoothly, but neither of these have enough torque to be terribly dangerous.
@@kushfw The Svartpilen is definitely better with a pillion, and probably a little more comfortable in general. Maybe worth mentioning: less MPG and smaller tank mean I'm fueling up twice as often on the Svartpilen (and it requires 91 octane).

Good job and good video 👍
I love the svart! 😅 my friend has the 650 and I'll ride it any time he let's me 😂
You have a responsibility to us, squids, who bought a Husqy because of your videos about it. Please make a video with regards to modding, accessories and/or maintenance of Svartpilen and Vitpilen. Please! I can't find a good video on youtube about these stuffs. Hoping you consider it. TIA
Is a Svartpilen 401 too weak for someone weighing in on 100kg (220 lbs)? With its 44bhp?
Above all, it is likely to be quite comfortable. and yes .. the engine is coupled compared to its competitor, but is more nervous than coupled
I would advise you more a 701
whats everyone thoughts on a 30yr old first time rider getting a tuono 660 for his first bike?
Be careful and spend a LOT of time going over the basics over and over again in an empty parking lot/wherever you can practice. The 660 isnt crazy but its no joke either.
They say its a decent and well specced bike with a good electronic safety net but no one here knows you to be able to advise you well. You could be a natural on 2 wheels, someone who should never swing their foot over... or anywhere in between
Always depends on the individual and their previous experience etc.
You'll love it
How about Bajaj is this brand copying the ktm?or just manufacturing small engines for ktm ? Dont really know but im ready to know.
Make the 701 again...but affordable. That is all I came to say.
given the quality of the engine/chassis.
I would say quite the opposite.
that he does the best so that nothing has changed on it except the exhaust line and the map
(for affordable prices, there is the second-hand market)
I love my Vitpilen!
Ha ha ha, those names, those names! After you made it through those names with some breath in your lungs I have accepted your pronunciation of Hus****na good job by the way👍👍👍👍
I like i to test out the 401 to take a trip to Guatemala.
Really cool desing
I want a husky 401 or a honda cb300r as my first bike so bad, but i will probably injure myself riding them as i am only used to a single cylinder 110 cc scooter by honda. still i am only 19, maybe one day
I had a CB300R and now a 401, get a 401!
I've put 1800 miles on my 2022 CB300R and 500 miles on my 2023 Svartpilen 401. Neither are too much to handle. You'll need to learn how to clutch smoothly, but neither of these have enough torque to be terribly dangerous.
@@mjb2kmn the thing is i need to travel 80kms (50 miles) everyday. which one would you say is more comfortable. sometimes with a pillion too
@@georgekrpan3181 aye thanks for the recs G
@@kushfw The Svartpilen is definitely better with a pillion, and probably a little more comfortable in general. Maybe worth mentioning: less MPG and smaller tank mean I'm fueling up twice as often on the Svartpilen (and it requires 91 octane).
Would be cool to see a 701 review
