13:31 Natla partying before The Great Pyramid explodes! xD
I would definitely play this
This is pretty cool!
Would hurt my eyes , but damn it's pretty cool . Reminds me of the n-gage taco phone XD
9:30 There is actually an incredible GBA port of the first two levels and the mansion called OpenLara, the dev said he could fit the entire game including cutscenes in a 32MB cartridge, but we need to be very patient as it's currently on hold
How did he manage that, very impressive
That is fun. Some sounds really sound gameboy like.
No way this would be a GBC, let alone an original Gameboy, they would totally do this game in a 2D platformer or some kind of dungeon crawler. It's perhaps even more hardware-intensive than what GBA would allow, but it could've worked there with some tweaks (after all, DOOM works everywhere). The soundtrack is perfect though and the whole thing definitely looks cool.
The soundtrack is great, would love to see more of it
Thanks!
Yes, that would actually have been 2d back in the day. But that's just fantasy!😄
The soundtrack is exhausted during production.
The action music was born spontaneously, because I couldn't do anything with the original.
Oh my lord, everyone is hating here. Obviously its not a gameboy game duh. And yes its not green. Its just a sort of "what if" video lol... also it kinda did "come out" for the gameboy. Specifically the GBA as the openlara project. Wonder whats up with that, not a lot of news recently... Eyecore, keep up the raiding and the uploads. Dont listen to the dogs barking 😂
That would be something i'd like to try! People taking things too seriously isn't anything new, so it doesn't really bother me lol
Thank you very much!😁
I'm glad you made a video about my mod (Reshade settings😆( Size:66KB))!

It's just a gameboy illusion, what if it was on a gameboy, but you can put it on any other game. it's just a filter.
This is not a tech demo of course. It's light years away from that
:::
The real technical feat was done by one person (OpenLara) on the real GBA.🎮

::::
I also edited the sounds, but a lot of sounds still need to be modified, and even the music...
This was a try.
This is more like if you could plug a PlayStation into a GameBoy
No it doesn't even look anything like that. It just is a sepia filter and a "scanline" filter, neither of which belong to a Game Boy.
@@KombatGod My general point was there's no way a gameboy is running that
@@Z64bit I know, but I'm saying even as just a visual "Game Boy filter" this fails big time.
And the ironic thing is that they DID release a Tomb Raider game on Game Boy Color and it was a 2d sidescroller.
What if I told you... that on the NES there IS a Tomb Raider game which was made in China around 2000-2010?
I've heard about it, is it any good?
@@Eycore Not really.
It's a top-down Zelda like RPG game, where the whole game has only 1 song that loops continuously like every 30 seconds. Interestingly enough someone made an english patch for it.
@@MrNorbert-wl9lh I hope that one song is a banger. Maybe i'll check it out ^^ ty
I doubt 3D was possible on the GameBoy. htere are some real TombR aider games for the game Boy though. All Nintendo handhelds have one minimum.
Yeah I've heard of the Curse of the Sword, not played it myself though
I give it 4/10 its mostly just a filter
This looks nothing like Gameboy, did whoever made this even play a GameBoy game?? It uses shades of green, what is this sepia shit? Also the resolution is way too high, I know it would be unplayable if it had the original GB resolution but I'm just saying, you could find something more in the middle... The resolution on this is actually huge, they just added a stupid "scanline filter" to give it a pixelated feel but that was never how pixelated graphics looked like in the first place, it is something that was created exclusively in the world of emulation.
Most importantly though, it DID come out on Game Boy! Game Boy Color actually but either way. The question is answered. What if Tomb Raider came out on Game Boy? It did.
I thought it was quite interesting for a reshade and I'm happy they took the time to make something that is a little different. I know there is Tomb Raider on the game boy but it's not similar to the first game.
Hello!
I put it together, mostly from memory! I had a Gameboy (DonkeyKongLand) when I was a child, and it was yellowish-brown in color, with a wheel on the side that could be used to control the shade. not a greener direction, which later surprised me, since it was greener than others, I stayed with this one, maybe because of this it is less credible, but I don't like green as much, in fact, in many emulations I rather pushed it in the more yellow direction, I saw that somewhere they can find it very well the green-yellow shade (RetroArch). I didn't succeed.
----
Well, sepia really isn't pretty, I agree, I was tossing and turning between sepia and yellow.
----
if I don't watch the video in full screen, there will be these strange grids, it's a kind of doppler effect in the picture. This surprised me. Not while playing. It occurs when watching a video.
---
I observed the pixels more closely... initially I just reduced the resolution, but the pixels didn't stand out, so I tried to "pixelize" the grid, which became the byproduct.
---
Thanks for the comment!🙂
Lol this is just the remaster with some ugly shaders. Nice clickbait
Yes yes! 😊
This was partly the goal, to make it uglier.
