To be fair, if I recall, the room didn't show up in the X-Ray vision so there was no indication to try anything on that specific wall and besides that, the wall required three uses of the batgel simultaneously to break which had not been a thing anywhere else in the game, usually one was enough. A lot of people forget that Brutal Legend had probably the most misleading marketing of any major game up until that point. About a third of the way through the game you find out it's more akin to Pikmin/RTS, which wasn't shown or talked about _at all_ leading up to its release.

Funny thing about the last easter egg was that it was actually known about for a very long time. people had been able to see it by looking trough the wall. But it wasnt until very much later the actual trigger mechanism to acces the easter egg was found.
They might've just programmed Homer to track the beat of the music currently playing so if something like lag or pausing too much caused the the music to desync with him him, he'd adjust, even if they expected it to always be the same music. Similarly, in Undertale & Undertale Yellow, if you do pretty specific things in situations where music is slowed down, you can hear music slowed down that normally wouldn't be playing at the time anyway. Like if you're doing a genocide run in Undertale Yellow & you leave Mo's room & come back, he won't be there because he already left but if you go back in, his theme will start playing again for some reason but it'll be slowed down. I always find that kind of thing neat though.

I played brutal legend for a good time (ever since I was 13 I'm 28 now) it's cool to see all those year's it have one
Those steps in TLOU are unnecessary. All I found necessary to trip it is witness the explosion, then save and quit at the bottom of the stairs.
I have an easter egg for you! If you go to the shop gnome in Battle for Neiborville, on one of the shelves to the right of him, you can find a little garlic. Interact with it and run to the launch zone. Then look at the big dam. Let me know if this works!
I bet a decent amount of these have actually been found by other people who just never posted online about it
I remember finding the dev team picture in spider-man when I was just 4. I’m 27 now. I didn’t know what I was doing back then and was confused to why I was looking at a photo of group of people in this random spot.
I didn’t know there was a futurama game that looks so fun 😮
8:05 maybe you gotta go through the level more and then maybe pick it up. I have a feeling there’s more to it. Cuz you can customize your inventory yk.
didn't you already made this video a couple of years back?
Nope
@@CaptainEggcellent sorry I got confused with Oddheader, you're both great tho
@@ilcattiveria6008 Oh, I was wondering why the concept was so familiar. I'm subscribed to both of them. I think I also read a Cracked article with the same topic though. It makes sense a lot of people who talk about stuff like this would eventually think to do this topic.
I'm curious did anybody else notice that the dev picture he references for the Spider-Man easter egg is not the same picture that he caught in gameplay????
I only just realised Marcus phoenix is the same voice actor as bender how did that take me so long to notice
I was just about to say no one just “randomly” found that Easter egg on eisendrache
I believe that exact same photo in Brutal Legend was used as an easter egg in the black velvetopia or Lungfisholpolis level of Psychonauts. Iirc it is also one you have to turn the camera around to see the woman. Both done by Double Fine so not a huge leap
10:50 "...the real life cordryceps fungus is known to infect ants..."
Sounds liek they need some disinfect-ants.
Funfact about Futurama they have find the easter egg very soon by clipping through with the camera
and many thought was an unfinished easter egg
Will you be worthy of thors hammer if you complete all campaign challenges on veteran?
I remember watching your other video about the ant zombie on Joel Miller's TV -- Yeah, people aren't working with the source material, they fib for some "Stem" authorship of what they saw in your video, only to be the type of author that has another actual King Author.
1:27 he may have discussed the location.. but the picture found is a different one.. surprised you didnt mention that
I generally have easter eggs in my games and a lot of them haven't been found... There are ones in Jungle & Urban Strike that I don't think people have found, as well as in Strider 2014.
im pretty sure there is an easter egg/ secret in BO2 Zombies Transit map that still has not been discovered 12 years later. Stated by a dev.
The ant image in the last of us has a mushroom coming out of its head…which is the final stage of that ants life with that fungus, it doesn’t need to be confirm or denied when it literally is what you said it was lol
The first time i played gears 3 me and a buddy did couch co-op and he spotted one of the coins. We figured it out and shot all the coins and did the easter egg. Im surprised so many people had no idea.
8:04 i feel like there’s gotta be a way to become worthy to pick it up
Just noticed for the Spiderman Easter egg. The trigger could have been the exploding generators. Also the one egg filmed and the earliest post of it had different images. So are there multiple version
As soon as I saw the COD zombies one.... the first thing i said was they definitely decompiled the code
Spider man EE is probably on a timer since it’s on a time trial map
This video should be titled “Easter eggs that everyone has heard of 100 times” lol
I played the spiderman games for YEARS!
If the ant scene took you 6 years to find out you obviously weren’t paying attention
Thanks for the videos!
like, how do people even find these? do they just spend days/weeks of their lives roaming around aimlessly and trying everything until something just.. works? 😂😂
as a fan of hit and run its a great game and the futurerama game is so much fun too
loved playing simpsons hit n run
Last of us easter egg makes sense and it's cool they added it.
Ok let me point out a BIG misconception here
Unannounced knowledge does not mean undiscovered Easter eggs
Back in the the 90’s I sometimes explored the maps and mistaken Easter eggs as being part of the game or a glitch without documenting my progress and repeating the same outcome on another Title
Good stuff, thank you
"and that's what today's video is about"
yeah no fkn sh*t ... we can read the fkn title before we see the video xDD
