    Steve - Long message here but just wanted to thank you for your great videos. Found you about 2 weeks ago and haven't watched all of them but will. Really, really appreciate all of the information. It's hard to find sources of currency that discuss specs of currency (without too much detail), the history which I really appreciate and don't talk down to the viewer. The 'Top Tens' are my favorites. I'm not a collector but enjoy having a notes displayed in my office because of the history and beautiful artistry. Again, just wanted to say thanks for what you do. Had a few 'world' currency ideas for you with U.S. relations: Filipino currency printed by the US BEP and Republic of Hawaii bank notes - just a thought.

    • @Stuplubakcurrency
      @Stuplubakcurrency  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me. I am always on the look out for new sources of info on currency and you are right, you just can't find many on TH-cam. Sometimes it just blows my mind how much money a person will blow on an item (coin or currency) without knowing the slightest bit of the story behind it. Speaking of story... a friend of mine from TH-cam (JRW3) usually leaves comments with a much more in depth paragraph on the history of my featured notes. It makes reading the comments very interesting!
      I like the thought of a Top 10 BEP notes not for the U.S.. I put it in my book with you as the reference. As I sit right now, I only have 3. I have stayed away from world notes mostly because I don't have any idea of value. I probably paid way too much for the few that I have. I do believe that may be the next direction I branch into. I just have to pick up some reference material. Thanks for taking the time to write this. If you ever have any questions, feel free to send them. My email is my channel name at MSN dot com. ( TH-cam gets funny about sites and addresses in comments). Take care!

      @@Stuplubakcurrency Keep doing what you're doing! Will spend more time on PC to read comments because the history and what/who is depicted is very interesting to me. I watch most 'TH-cam' on home TV. Side note really appreciated the video comparing today's value of Black Eagle vs. Morgan - made me really think about the investment. I'm not a huge coin guy myself but appreciate that you touch on them every once in a while.

      @@PolarCurrency Thanks! That video was a response to someone saying "paper will never be worth anything! Give me silver!" So I did. A tip on investing... If currency is going to be a serious branch in your portfolio, you want high grade and high demand notes. They are the ones to move the most. I replied to a person about silver prices compared to currency stating that in the 70's or 80's, the Hienz family tried to corner the market on silver and drove the price to $50 an ounce. In 1975, choice 65 1899 $5 Chief note sold for $225. In April of this year I was buying silver for under $11. Even now it's only $25. But that same note in that same condition sells for $6000!

    Good stuff bud! You need to bring number 9 and 8 up in the chain. Especially that star ladder pattern. Those are some of my favorite types of
    Fancy serial numbers. One thing, not to criticize but you k ow me, I think you may have misspoke on what a super radar is. Remember a super radar must contain only the same outside digit with ALL the numbers in between the same and a different digit than the outside two. For example, 63333336 is a super radar. Anyhow, cool stuff found most definitely. I’ve never found a seven in a row, only seven of a kind all 1’s and 9. I’ve also only found 1 true binary and I’ve searched a decent amount as well. Never found any low serial numbers yet too, like less than 1000. Anyhow, great stuff I watched until the end!

    • @Stuplubakcurrency
      @Stuplubakcurrency  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are absolutely correct on the super radar. I knew what I wanted to say but my train derailed mid thought. LOL! I'm glad to hear that about the star note. Honestly, I didn't think that much of it being 4 pairs. That's why I put it next to the other 4 pairs. In my thought process I saw 4 pairs and then a star with 4 pairs. I didn't even consider the ladder portion when I was ranking them. I should have. Thanks!

    • @Stuplubakcurrency

      Generally, after a new president is elected, they will change the Treasurer and the Secretary of the Treasury. When this happens a new series year will start. But if there is any change in the note or if one of these two people leaves, they will start a new series with the same year and just add the letter “a”. If it happens again they will put a “b”.

      Nope. I haven't. Those would be alternating repeaters and would certainly be worth more because of that. I wouldn't say a more true binary. A casual observer of the binary code probably wouldn't be able to identify a pattern. Take care my friend!

      Not more but it would be considered a super repeater in that format. My buddy has a 10101010* I’m looking to buy from him. He’s got all the gold stuff!

    I have a $5 with 03030003... is it worth anything?

      depends on condition. You can check ebay sold listings for $5 binary.
