- In this video we talk about $1 2013 Series New York Duplicate Serial Number, a rare $1 star notes you should look for! The serial numbers are and should be a unique numbers but by mistake duplicate serial numbers were printed for some $1 2013 star notes. We will talk about them with great details as well as which numbers you should pay attention too.

I have seen hundreds of star notes in my lifetime, but now that I have known for the last two years that they were special, I haven't seen a single one. Also I have never heard of this specific error before.
You must be old school like me I've seen red stars ,black and green.
Google "Project 2013B" and you will find the website where you can submit your serial numbers. If a matching serial number is found in their database, or in the future, they will contact you and the other banknote owner of your match and various ways you can proceed from there in you are interested in selling or buying. Their database currenly has over 50,000 serial numbers!

Nope, I have never heard of this error! I keep every star note I find though, but this time....I know where they are ;) My coin collection is scattered all over the place and I really need to get organized a lot better. Thanks again for the awesome information!
Collecting paper money is a fascinating venture. Numbers are important prefix,suffix, high and low. Also the different printing facilities Washington and Fort Worth designations and numbers they all mean something. Things like crossover pairs. Star notes can be valuable if a low amount are printed for a series. There are so many types of errors to look for.

Same here. Didn't know about the duplicate star notes. In past year's saw plenty of star notes but didn't know anything about them. But thanks to jb coins I know now.

Yes I did know about this error. I checked a star note online and it told me about the double printing. I checked into it further so I can better educate myself.

J&B I did not know of the procedure nor where they were printed, or value of the notes. But I will keep my eyes 👀 open from now on so I may be blessed in finding them. The printing designation will show on the face of any note at the small plate letters and numbers
Washington notes will have a letter followed by a number(s)
The Fort Worth will have FW a letter and small numbers. The backs will have a small number(s) for the plate number no letters.

Yes I saw a TH-cam vedio on it and he said there was a way to check to see if someone also had one with the same numbers as your. It was over a month ago that I saw it.

I've recently acquired two 2013 Star notes in change from local market. My question, is there a site with all the notes that have been registered? My understanding is that 11,000 1$ bills are registered and looking for a match. I would really like to see the list of all registered notes. Thank you for your time and info. 20 years back I bought 6 - pages of 36 star notes from the mint and looking them up on star note look up ,I come to find they are indeed very rare.I'm not sure what to do with these un-cut sheets.I wonder if I can get them graded without cutting them into separate notes.

Yes I have heard of this and I am actively searching for them everyday! I have 4 or 5 ,2 B 2013 series star notes now that begin with 0 but not real sure yet what exactly to do from here!!
I haven't heard of this particular error however I do have a series which I'm going to look for with the same numbers on different plate and I haven't found that it was an error, now after looking through I have found at least four in the series Without a partner

Yes, have heard of these, however at about your 6:53 part of your video you said a pair of these is going for about $15 on eBay. Well maybe single notes, but not matching pairs. I’ve only seen matching SN of notes, the matching SN notes are from different FRBs or different Series. There are some people on eBay, falsely claiming 1/2 ownership of a pair, as the match was never confirmed, etc trying to make sales. As an owner of one of these graded matched pairs, and knowing all the other confirmed owners of verified matched pairs, I can assure you there are not any matched pairs selling for $15 anywhere.
There will be a pair going up for worldwide auction late this summer, and expected to sell in the tens of thousands of dollars. Hope this helps.

So the value is higher due to this is a small run error, only 640,000, still possible to find...I just found a $5 star note AND a 1950 Series $20 bill in my change . Wondering about the older bill now..I didn't know about these duplicate star bills ..thanks J&B
