I just want to thank you. I've worked in food service on and off as a cook most of my life; I'm 68 now. Your channel is great. I love these simple, easy to remember recipes. Makes me feel like a champion on the griddle. Anytime I need to whip up something quick, one of these simple recipes will come to my rescue. Thanks again. Love your channel. God Bless my friend.
I learn to enjoy cooking with my griddle more from your videos than any other posts that I’ve seen. I also enjoy raising a cold one with you, my friend.
I saw all the veggies and I thought Johnny finally went on his diet!! I was relieved to see the sausage, American cheese and kielbasa. I think Johnny's diet follows the sale items at the store. I'm on that diet, too. Griddle on!
I bought a small griddle today from Amazon, it's only 17.5 inch by 16, but it's enough for me, so I've subscribed to learn and relax. Watching from Glasgow Scotland and enjoying. Cheers.
Hi Paul!! Congrats on the new griddle. I think you're my first subscriber that I know of from Scotland, that's awesome! Thanks so much for watching and I'm sure you'll love the new griddle. Cheers!
Just started watching your videos about a month ago because I’m looking to get an electric griddle and I wanted to step my game up. Thank you for your content and good energy. I get to gain solid info while feeling like my uncle is telling me or something🤣🤝
You're very welcome. Hopefully you get that griddle soon and can start cooking. I've been told before that I have drunk uncle vibes and I view that as a compliment 😁. I appreciate you watching.
Johnny B!! Good one dude. With my griddle, I've only had it a couple months now, but as soon as I start cooking on, I have random neighbors show up.....
Hey Johnny, hows it Griddlin. Yeah, my wife and I recently started having breakfast for dinner more often during the week, cause it's nice and easy. I also make Crackslaw 1xs a week, cause its quick and easy. I've made it wit ground beef, italian sausage, ground pork. Going to try ground turkey next. All great meals and thanks for the video. GRIDDLE ON DUDE.
Great cooks Johnny. I am making stir fry shrimp tonight on the griddle. The frozen mixed veggies and Ben's rice make this a quick, simple delicious meal.
Thanks for all the tips. Here are some of my own: a) replace your slow cooker with a rice cooker (with slow cook mode). It will expand all the things you can do with the appliance. And in particular, enable you to make rice from scratch. Making it tastier, healthier, and much cheaper than instant rice. Get one with a brown rice option and boost all of these benefits. b) whole cabbage is also cheaper than slaw kits. And comes in both green and red. Buy one of each and shred them down. Or easier yet, slice them into cabbage steaks to grill up directly. Flip a few times then slice on the griddle when soft. c) for a full breakfast, combine the grilled cabbage with grilled red onions, zucchini, eggs then topped with no frills yellow mustard. Include sausage for even more flavor. Brown rice also works here for a toast like flavor/texture.
Ya I love my dome but it takes up like half the dishwasher!! Or if I try to do it by hand I get water everywhere. I'm glad you didn't think it was trashy. Thanks for watching.
Honestly i have actually lost 15lbs since getting my griddle in the spring and using it atleast 3 times a week. It is way out in my garage and every time I cook I make around 5 trips back and forth.
I remember those quick busy nights when my kids were younger. My youngest will be 18 in March. Student Loans Blow. I borrowed the money, so I'm going to pay them back. When we, my wife and I both use to work until I went on Disability for numerous health issues. We had the same life style as you. Now to my Breakfast For Dinner thing. It's kinda high class. 😂😅 I get the pre-made Country Fried Steaks, OE Eggs, Steak Fries, and Jar Chicken Gravy. Air Fry the Steak, Fries, Fry The Eggs, Microwave The Gravy. Then layer. Steak, Fries, Eggs, Gravy. Now I only do this once in a great while. 👍 😊
Oh ya the loans aren't fun but we're definitely paying them back. I don't understand the mindset of waiting for someone else to pay money that I choose to borrow. That breakfast for dinner sounds amazing! I'll have to look for those frozen country fries steaks and give it a try.
Great ideas! We like the Aldi stir fry kits, way easier and cheaper because you don't have to buy all the ingrdients and figure out how to use the extra.
As a wife, never be embarrassed for saving money. You work hard to make money, so why not make it last as long as possible? Even after the student loans are paid off, if you continue to stretch your dollar, you’ll have money to sock away for a rainy day or splurge for something else. Just saying.👍🏻😎 By the way…absolutely love these videos! Keep’’em coming!
Those are all great five ingredient ideas Johnny! Really good video and presentation. I'm about to grind some Chuck and make some smashburgers and have a beer. Cheers!
Most seafood is flash frozen. You want this as it kills parasites. This is especially important for Sushi, which people think is always supposed to be fresh. While it should be “new” it still has to be frozen to kill parasites as it won’t be cooked.
