    We are graduating from a Coleman 17b to a 2021 Geo Pro 19bh that we found for $24,500. I have been looking at these since 2019 and once my wife saw it, she understood why. The one we are getting has the oven in it as well. I am a blessed man. Also, we will be using the bunk space for both storage and sleep time.

    For the length of this TT, I'd have no problem doing any not already prepped food prep at the dinette. But if we were to have a camper like this, I'd do what I could to have stuff chopped and ready to use and stashed in fridge before leaving home. It's a sweet, compact camper...I'm not worried about 'no dream kitchen'. :) Good vid, great unit!

    Not sharp shooting. The forest river website says it's 7 ft 8in. I think. In a small trailer ever inch matters. My first rv was a 2007 summit 23rb. The space between the kitchen and dinette was tight. My current rv is a 2018 2109s and inroad mode it's 30 inches between the couch and kitchen. I am curious about this rv. On camera it looks like a decent amount of space between the dinette and kitchen.

    We love ours. Just about the perfect size for the 3 of us. Occasionally it can feel a little cramped like when we're making dinner inside but for the most part the size is just right. It tows like a dream behind a Lexus GX470 and I really like the bunk storage area. I can fit our 3500w generator and 200w solar panels along with cords, tarps, fishing gear, etc and still have room to spare. I load the heavy stuff towards the front so it's close to the axle and it pulls great. Also, you can keep the bottom bunk mattress where it belongs if you move the latch plate a couple of inches out. Your videos are what sold us on the Geo Pro, thanks!

    Do you think getting a used one would be just as good ? This is perfect for our family because it will be our first camper and we want no slide maintenance to worry about. How is buying a used rv ? Is it risky to get one without a warranty ? We would buy new but just too far out of our price range

    • @JoshtheRVNerd

      Obviously with used you need to review it’s condition. I can’t give a definitive answer for something like that without an RV to reference against.
      I have seen used stuff like new
      I have seen it beaten within an inch of its life
      Used should save you money, but typically have no warranty

    This is a very nice TT. I compared with the Jayco 171BH and bought the Jayco. My wife and I could not get past the dentist’s sink in the shower. For us it was a deal breaker. Also the Jayco overall had a better, nicer bathroom with full vanity and more bathroom storage. Also the cabinetry in the Jayco overall, we felt, was superior. Make no mistake the Geo-Pro/ePro are excellent, excellent TTs, but for us, the Jayco received the nod.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I think that spare's mounting position was likely a case of "where else are we going to put it?"
      There's not really a spot on the back for it and tongue mounts can interfere with some hitching.

    I don't know how much space from the floor to under the first bunk but, maybe a pet can sleep there. Some people may buy a 3rd mattress and put a two-year old there.

    I can’t fathom why they still have not listened to people. They just keep digging their heels in.
    People want netting gone and actual cabinets on top of bed. It would take them like 1 sheet of cabinet material to do that.
    They still stuck with that redonkulous shower sink that serves absolutely no purpose. It behooves me how literally every single geo pro has a proper sink with exception of 19bh and 20bh… like what in the actual flipping duck…. Man… and I dont want to hear how there is no space because they put proper sink in literally all of their other models. They need to ditch the useless shower sink already. You can’t even brush your teeth in it without first having to climb inside the tub.
    This rv is almost perfect except for the things they overlook year to year. There is literally no reason why they can’t put a bathroom sink into 19bh and 20bh considering all other geo pros have a proper sink in same space.

      After visiting their facilities recently in my factory tour series I can say with confidence they do listen, but they're painted into a corner currently
      They do not have time to dedicated to re-developing existing best selling models right now. When things "cool," then you'll see some serious facelifting from a lot of brands

      “People want netting gone and actual cabinets above the bed” not necessarily true. It may be what you want. I’m short. I’d like to be able to what’s up there without having to stand on the bed. Cabinet doors would restrict what I could put up there as well by making the opening smaller. The netting allows stuff to stick out if need be. Netting is also more easily customizable and replaceable. Rockwood hasn’t overlooked anything. At all. Ever.

    • @moretoliving2236
      @moretoliving2236 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eohcyt2996 literally every single review video of geo pros and e pros by people who own these things no matter what model all mentioned they want cabinets. In fact except for these 2 makes, industry standard is a cabinet. I see what you are saying but you can just as easily take the door off and put a net there. With respect to “seeing” what is up there, you should know what is up there because you are the one who put it there in the first place. I have a class c rv and used to have travel trailers and proper storage is always a must have. So is a sink to brush your teeth in or wash your hands in after bathroom. Just think, a short person who cant reach shower sink over entire bathtub goes #1 or #2 and using “dirty hands” touches knobs, walks into kitchen to touch that faucet to wash hands in sink where you prep food…
      Literally every single competition to geo pro has proper bathroom sink and over bed cabinets. Only units not to have a bathroom sink would be cheapo viking/clipper 17bh trailers but industry standard is sink in bathroom or in some class c like 24 ft models right outside but that is on 20 year old models

      Bunks are overrated, IMO. IDK I wasn't raised in American culture maybe a LOT of people take their kids RVing...I usually click off a video the moment I see bunks. I feel like since 10 years ago the demographic of people investing in RVs are becoming less and less involved with their dependents in said activity. Also, there isn't a single sofa or dinette that doesn't convert...it just seems like a suboptimal feature to invest space in, since the other options are much more flexible. Also, can imagine the nightmares of finding sheets for bunk bed sizes. If your kid is so small that you feel like it is a waste of space to use a convertible dinette, can't they just sleep on the bed with you? Bunks are really only justifiable if you're Mormon with like 5 kids.

      As Josh indicates, a Sienna is NOT an ideal tow vehicle for this unit. That said, we actually tow this exact same unit (a 2019 that is a bit lighter) with a 2022 Sienna. We have put about 4,000 miles on it and it does tow fairly well. Granted, most of our towing has been in areas that are relatively flat (FL). You MUST install a weight distribution and closely watch your weights. We removed the 2 lead acid batteries from the tongue and installed a single 400AH lithium under the dinette bench and that really helped. You also have to be smart when towing and we rarely go over 60 MPH (that also saves on gas). Speaking of which, we are getting about 20 MPH when towing. Sienna is certainly NOT an ideal tow vehicle for this unit but it can be done.
      The big test will be this summer when we take it from FL to Washington state, and back!
