Very few bands can actually do ACDC the way it's meant to be played, Joan Jett does it remarkably well.
AC/DC would not approve. A slide guitar solo misses the mark. The riffs were way off and in no way does AC/DC have any Saxophone.

My girlfriend in 1980's was an aspiring singer in a band. I introduced her to a music video of yours. I left and she became a super hit in Okinawa. She did your style, somewhat. You're one of the best hard rockers of the 80's. I'm 63 now and still love to rock out to your music. Keep going!

But , yeah, it's her...go through a few of her other "Official" videos around the same time like "I Hate Myself for Loving You (Official Video)" OR more specifically any of her videos off The Hit List album in 1990. I saw JJ & Blackhearts at the Flying Dutchman in Charleston, S.C. somewhere around 1983. She put on one hell of a show. She was the only woman I ever heard that had a true R&R heart and opened it up every single show.
Saw her at Hammerjacks Balitmore, about 1985.....awesome. Hammerjacks was awesome too.
I've always liked her, but I never really appreciated when I was younger just how attractive she is. Gorgeous.

Although induced into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2015, I don't think Jett really got the credit she deserved during her career. The music industry just wasn't willing to put any backing behind a female hard rock lead singer. But she showed them and went about doing it her way, all by herself.
Her rock was too hard for the Pop industry.
Girlschool didn't have those problems.
It's not about being male or female. It's about being in the right place at the right time.

I would say closer. Of all the covers of this tune, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts did the best, simply because it was in their established style, not a pop artist or diva trying to make it fit their style.

AC/DC's early albums all have a raw sound. Only when they hooked up with Mutt Lange and recorded 'Highway to Hell' did they sound more polished, like this cover.

No no no, shes just wearing a touch around the eyes and some lipstick. I swear the shape of her face changed. Check out where she is in blue light around :12, the light bleaches out the make up, she is gorgeous. Her face changed, filled out a little I think. Look at the proportions of her face, all her features work perfect together. A little make up enhances beauty, but the beauty has to be there first. Joanie, (she lets me call her Joanie, you guys have to call her Queen JJ), is nuclear hot.
She is clearly and visibly wearing, eyeliner, mascara, rouge, lipstick and atleast a layer of foundation. And that is what I can see who isnt a professional make-up artist.
She should look older, no younger then when she made I Love Rock n Roll, given that she is with some margin past 30 here. But she used far less makeup early on (or its far better applied here). However, the "thin look" she generally have had is even newer then this, not older as you imply.

Back in the eighties a friend told me he wanted to go somewhere different and he would drive. I didn't know where we were but we pulled into a parking lot and it looked like a bar except when we got to the door I realized everybody had tickets including my friend. When we got inside the only way I can describe it was like maybe a dinner club with a small stage at one end and a bar at the other end. All the tables and chairs were stacked along the back wall. As we got our drinks Joan Jett and the band got up on stage. All I can say is to be able to walk up and be several feet away from her while performing was unforgettable just so much energy.
