David Mckenna This song and another popular one called Roundabout were used in an anime (adaptation of a Japanese comic, aka “manga”) called JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. People usually get annoyed by this fact but they fail to realize that Hirohiko Araki, the illustrator and author of the manga, actually listened to these songs while finding inspiration for most of his stories, which take place all over the world (America, Britain, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc), and that there’s a multitude of references to other incredible musical artists as well, such as REO Speedwagon, AC/DC, Queen, Prince, etc, and that Araki is paying respect to a lot of these artists, and that David Productions, the company that adapted the manga into an anime, is further pushing that out by including the songs in the anime.

One of the most original and compelling songs ever recorded. Still listenable and enjoyed decades later. THAT's the definition of a hit song. These folks just killed it. Rock history is where they ended up...
@@justinmorgan2126 All those decades being embarrassed. That's too bad. When your song stays viable for over a quarter-century...it worked. All the parts fit and all the bolts tightened. It's also interesting to note the crowds they play in front of. It's not the local bar. They're in front of concert-sized audiences the entire time. That's success and has nothing to do with you being embarrassed. Sorry...

Idk why, but now I want to go to Egypt from Japan in 50 days without taking the plane with my grandpa, my classmate, a french tourist and an egyptian guy
What makes this song so awesome is it's just fun. My six year-old daughter was bored one day and I suggested I could teach her to "Walk Like an Egyptian." I introduced her to this song and the video, and she soon knew every word to the song. She was so proud she learned it when she was six and we did the dance together, breaking it out during the father-daughter dance at her wedding. One of my happiest moments as a dad, both the first time and the time at her wedding.
This disgusts me. The epitome of racism and cultural appropriation of Egyptians. Thank your lucky stars you do not live in the UK. I would report you for hate crimes on social media and you would do at least 22 months in prison over here or maybe in Canada. BTW I am not allowed to say it as it is gender discrimination, but I always had a crush on Susanna Hoffs. ;)

One of the most original and compelling songs ever recorded. Still listenable and enjoyed decades later. THAT's the definition of a hit song.
These folks just killed it. Rock history is where they ended up...
It was an embarrassment when it came out and it still is today...
Sorry...

It’s insane how the average Joe can listen to a song this bizarre and realize how beautiful life can be. Anything can be an adventure. It makes sense why this band were such stars and how they could go platinum.
I know, right? My grandpa, Joseph loves this song.

Careful on the bizzare adventure. Dangers might be lurking anywhere
Why? are you trying to kill someone to help your mother?
BTW I am not allowed to say it as it is gender discrimination, but I always had a crush on Susanna Hoffs. ;)
That is how cool we are.
Great story!!
Congratulations on a new son in law.
Remember - 'Slide your feet up the street, bend your back, shift your arm then you pull it back.'
That is a wonderful story and you sound like a fantastic dad. Plus, you can never go wrong with the classics.
