  • Mechanical Rigging in Blender for Dynamic Assemblies and Animation: A Comprehensive Guide to CAD Sketcher Integration | Tutorial 17
This Step-by-Step Tutorial Will Guide You Through Setting Up Simple Parts for Seamless Assembly.
When it comes to assembling and animating multiple parts in Blender and/or CAD Sketcher, this can be achieved without the use of any armature. Creating an assembly in Blender 3D involves adjusting the point of origin or rotation for each part and then linking them together in a parent-child relationship. This tutorial will teach you the basics of setting up a simple series of parts that represent links. These parts will connect at their joining points, enabling rotation around them. This foundational knowledge sets the stage for advancing into more complex assemblies.

Hi, a suggestion to explore long-term: Workflow for efficiently modeling a practical vehicle suspension geometry for performing wheel alignment using real-time data inputs. The reasoning is that 3D Scanning hardware is becoming affordable and the "string" method (tying a string adjacent to the vehicle wheels) could use a technological update. See the video from Superfast Matt recently about this; it sounds to me like this is possible already with existing tools?

Is there no end to your talents? I'm following your FreeCAD course for beginners, and stumbled upon you here amongst my favorite software of all time: Blender.

Wouldn't it be simpler to do this with a rigging method using bones?

Awesome job! Just watched the entire serie! 🙌
Quick note: Noticed a tiny glitch - you accidentally selected a vertex from the outer circle while adjusting the rotation origin : th-cam.com/video/2s2hKrKOXbQ/w-d-xo.html
Keep up the fantastic work though! Can't wait for more content! 💯🔥
