I wanted to use the plans, and cad file to have my simulator built locally. According to the parts list it should cost around $1700 USD. Is that correct? It kind of defeats the purpose of DIY.

The seat sliders gave me an idea. What if you also used the sliders to raise and lower the wheel, also to move the uprights forward or backwards for adjustability for different size drivers using the same cockpit. Also use them on the pedal tray. What are your thoughts?

Pretty cool concept. I like the use of the unibearings, but that monitor mount would never hold up. Also, I see a ton of issues with the pedal mount and the adjustability. Looks like a nightmare to keep tight.

If you cut down on the seat slide and the monitor stand, you end up cheaper than any simlab without accessories.
