So, with 38°C and 80%humidity (high enthalpy), you would need a 19kW cooling system to get that air down to 25°C/50%Humidity. Plus, some extra (i think quite a lot, maybe the equivalent of the bike power * 2) kW to cool bike down… It’s just an idea. I very expansive idea, but as you said, Devil is hiding in details!
The last thing we want to do is alter our dyno numbers even more than an average dyno. We pay attention to details that others do not, so our readings are already a bit higher than most in normal atmospheric conditions and considerably higher if the dyno owner does not maintain the dyno well. We completely evacuate our room 8-10 times per minute and draw from a 10K square ft heated warehouse, so normally aspirated bikes are no problem. Supercharged bikes are the biggest issue as a glowing red exhaust will raise ambient room temperature 30 degrees in just seconds - trying to keep room temp under control for those conditions would be exceptionally cost-prohibitive.

From a top speed, roll on perspective, the zx-10r is tough to beat. The new BMW s1000rr would be my choice for fastest normally aspirated 1000. No on the gsxt1k making 200 on pump. It's more suited for road racing, partial throttle operation. Hope this helps.
@@BrockDavidson my apologies, allow me to correct myself. I didn’t mean to say cat-converter. I meant pre-muffler. I think there’s a bit of confusion. If I understand correctly, that ZX-10 made 209HP at the wheel with MR12. So, what are the full modifications on the bike besides the full exhaust system and the tune? It can't jump from 160something to 209 with just an exhaust and a tune, 49HP is a huge leap.

Hi Brock, I’m Bob one of your new subscribers and somewhat new to the muscle bike world. I think your channel is great! Thanks for sharing your informational videos. I’m investigating in my bike and trying to get the most out of it without spending a small fortune. I will be having the ecu flashed, installing a Sprint air filter and changing the sprockets to 15/44. Most important to me is the sound profile of the bike. Currently the bike has a Two Brothers slip on and it sounds ok but not the tone that I’m looking for. I have a question regarding tone that I hope you can help with. My question is, is there an exhaust for a 2008 GSXR 600 that will produce a deep tone? I realize that I might be asking for the impossible but can that bike sound deep like an R1 without having a cross plane crank? If I were equating the tone to a muscle car exhaust, it would sound like something with a Flow Master Muffler on it. Again a deep but somewhat hollow / tinty while at idle sound. I appreciate any input that you might share! I suppose the worst case scenario is that I need to purchase an R1 for that deep rumble sound that’s most important to me. Below is a link to a video that has an example of the sound profile that I’m looking for. This example is of a Honda CBX 1050. Thanks again! th-cam.com/video/lal5UgVyiiU/w-d-xo.html
Hello Bob, glad you are enjoying our channel. We work hard to provide exactly what you are asking for. Unfortunately we no longer offer a system for your bike as we focus primarily on new models. I think your best bet would be to check out Hindle Exhausts. They make a very good system, at a reasonable price and they understand to importance of a good tone. I will warn you that 600's are naturally "peaky" but a robust tone with out the "tininess" found in lower quality or worn out mufflers. Hope this helps
Please read this: brocksperformance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360061989231-What-is-the-best-octane-for-fuel-mileage-and-performance- The only time an "octane booster' is needed is if the fuel being used does not meet the engine's minimum octane requirements - poor quality fuel combined with high compression/turbo/nitrous etc... On a stock/normally aspirated engine, Octane boost is not only not needed...but it actually slows the bike down, as explained in the link above.
Please tell me which motorcycle will be faster and at the same time more reliable? Kawasaki ZX10R, Honda CBR 1000rr, Suzuki gsx-r1000, BMW s1000rr or Yamaha R1?
"faster"...all out top speed? 60-160? Drag strip? From a reliability stand, all are excellent - so that should not sway your decision, IMHO. It's really a matter of personal preference.
Any testing with sunoco evo 10 or ex 02 fuels? I always see mr12 but wonder about sunoco fuels. I've used sunoco 260 gt plus and ran my best times with it. I ask because it is at all of our local fuel stations. Easy to get.
Something I don't get, why the CPU wouldn't compensate automatically for baro pressure change on a low pressure day ? bike cpu's don't have a sensor for inlet pressure ?
Great video Doc Brock, as usual the research that you share (nothing hidden)helps us all.Your products and information speaks for itself. Glad I own yer Alien Head/PC5/and Tuned ECU= :) Thanks Man, Scott in the D....The Brock's formula AH+PC5+TECU=FAST(nothing stupid bout that)!
The Yamaha's have great OEM head pipes also - but the result is the same. If you want maximum performance in all area's of the curve, A properly designed full system is the key.
Hey brock, few years later, you have some experience with these bikes , is the stock CCT a lasting item when making big power, or have you heard many people changing to the manual tensioner ?
Stock is far superior IMO. Manual tensioners are close to impossible to correctly adjust and require constant up keep to stay in adjustment... something the OEM tensioners cured years ago.
@@BrockDavidson awesome ! Thank you. I appreciate the response. You have the best channel on TH-cam, your knowledge, and the fact you share it is so amazing. I want to take a holiday just to bring my bike to you ( dreams)
Thanks Brock. I always wondered on the difference between de-cat and full system performance and this explained it for me. Also the performance between the current and previous gen ZX10-R. Thanks again for your amazing work!
Another Question: My 2017 ZX-10RR has stock headers, cat delete with an intermediate pipe, and the stock exhaust muffler. If I was to invest into the new Penta-carbon Full Exhaust System, what are my realistic gains to be seen? (No "promises") but, realistic gains? Less weight by X pounds, increase in HP by X HP, etc? Be realistic. I am seriously considering putting in an order for the Penta-carbon. I'd just like to know "realistic" gains over my current set-up. Thanks Brock!!
I can't answer the power question other than replacing the muffler is typically not where power is gained. That said, we notice a sizable gain over stock in most sli=on applications, especially combined with a derestriction flash and sprint filter. +5-7 RWHP are typical. I can say your bike will look and sound MUCH better :)
@Brock - Awesome content as always. ZX-10R is a beast up top, but the GSX-R1000 beats it on torque most of the way. My guess, in road racing the Suzuki will be stronger around the track. For drag racing, I believe it'll come down to whether or not the Kawi's top end can come around the Suzuki's grunt early on.
VV Timing & Lift, greatest thing ever for small cc engines. My first experience was on a 1.8L I-4 in a shitty Corolla, it felt like a 2.4L, at least. Honda lost the opportunity on their new CBR1000RR-R .
The astonishing number of dyno pulls some of these motors have endured speaks volumes for Japanese reliability. Keep those boutique brands, give me a motor that will show up to work everyday and ready to get after it! 💚
My personal 2010 S1000RR has over 3500 dyno pulls and hundreds of drag strip passes. I can put it on the dyno right now and it will make the same HP within 1-2 of it's first passes. Same goes for my 06 ZX-14 and 08 Busa. These engines are truly amazing.
I think for a normal everyday rider that's not pushing the bike constantly, and only goes to the track or the twisties every so often, but the bike is more of a daily; a full system isn't worth it. The stock headers are fantastic. If you have the money go for it. If you don't it's not too big of a deal. But for someone who is gonna be pushing that bike. The bike gets to come out to go lay some smack downs on some people, then yeah, that's a massive difference.
For the ZX10R Brock, for an even better comparison. I highly suggest removing the oem damper and using a gen 4 damper. While your products for lowering the front end are great, there is still another inch to go before the showa fork tapers. That could be the difference between an 8.8 or a 9.0. Just an idea.

Hey Mr Davidson, I have a 2006 zx14 and I bought one of your systems back in 06 not long after I bought my bike new. I actually switched over to e85 by switching all my numbers in my fuel map using my laptop. It made over 191hp and ran really good but e85 got difficult to find near me and my injectors were at 97% duty cycle so I switched back to running 87 octane and I bought an alien head for a good deal on a zx14 forum. Anyhow my computer crashed that had all my fuel maps and my pc3 is loaded with a map that isn't right due to me changing my individual numbers by anywhere from 30 to 40 points. The guy that owned the dyno let me play around for the better part of the day to get my airfuel right and getting the horsepower up. That said I just have no idea which numbers i manipulated from the 30 or the 40. Is there anyway you could send me a fuel map for the alienhead? Oh yeah I can't go back to the guy with the dyno as he passed away a couple few years ago with kidney failure. I'm sure he would have had the maps stored in his dyno computer. Anyhow I can send you pics of my exhaust either the alien head or the carbonfiber canister to prove I have what I say I have and not trying to get something for nothing.
I was simply asking if I replaced the exhaust and pre-muffler with a slip-on Will it do any damage to my motorcycle? Am I absolutely needing a flash if this is done?
If I understand correctly, that ZX-10 made 209HP at the wheel with MR12. So, what are the full modifications on the bike besides the full exhaust system and the tune? It can't jump from 160something to 209 with just an exhaust and a tune, 49HP is a huge leap.
All products are listed in the long description (click show more) - FYI;: a majority of the power gain occurred as a result of lifting OEM noise and emissions restrictions in the ECU,
@@BrockDavidson all the power mods i could find in the description, correct me if I'm wrong, were the exhaust, air filter, tune and the ceramic bearing. I don't know if sprockets would affect whp. Were there any intake or engine mods done? Like velocity stacks, valve work, cams and or camshafts etc? I need to know so I have a better idea of what is realistic or not, I don't live in the US btw so you can't really help me in person.

Would a fule stabilizer like 104 octane boost be recommended
Please read this: brocksperformance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360061989231-What-is-the-best-octane-for-fuel-mileage-and-performance-
The only time an "octane booster' is needed is if the fuel being used does not meet the engine's minimum octane requirements - poor quality fuel combined with high compression/turbo/nitrous etc... On a stock/normally aspirated engine, Octane boost is not only not needed...but it actually slows the bike down, as explained in the link above.
@@BrockDavidson thank you. So according to this article 87 octane is optimal. I would of never guess. I always learn something new from your show ty
Is it possible to have two ECUs for the ZX-10R ? So I can leave one at Stock Settings and one flashed ?
Yes. Our customers do this frequently. Is easy on the US models, euro models with the immobilizer key are tricky, but we can do them also.
Great stuff Brock keep up the good work and development
Love your vidz. The zx10.is my favourite bike
It's like a kid in a candy store can't wait mr. Brock
When do we get that full system exhaust
In stock: brocksperformance.com/penta-carbon-full-system-15-muffler-black-zx-10r-16-20/
Any testing with sunoco evo 10 or ex 02 fuels? I always see mr12 but wonder about sunoco fuels. I've used sunoco 260 gt plus and ran my best times with it. I ask because it is at all of our local fuel stations. Easy to get.
We still waiting for that video brock
Something I don't get, why the CPU wouldn't compensate automatically for baro pressure change on a low pressure day ? bike cpu's don't have a sensor for inlet pressure ?
They have map sensors. But, unlike cars the only active tuning is related to emissions and noise control at cruising speeds.
Does the Brock’s full exhaust give more top end power or mid range or both?
We shoot for more mid range and top end power and compliment low end performance with precice gearing changes.
Can't wait for my full Penta carbon to arrive for my 2022 !!!! Even more excited after watching this video 🙂
Good choice! We are finally starting to get caught up on stainless systems - please hold tight...it will be worth the wait.
@@BrockDavidson Brody hooked me up real good 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
What clutch mod did you do to the ZX10R?

Hi Brock , please I own a 2014 YZF R1 with an after market slip pipes yoshimura ,my question is ,is it advisable to remove the cat or just leave it ?
When is that new Full exhaust system Gonna Be Available?
Target release date is Jan, 2020.
Thanks Brock.
I always wondered on the difference between de-cat and full system performance and this explained it for me.
Also the performance between the current and previous gen ZX10-R.
Thanks again for your amazing work!
Love the insight
Man so much information I friggin love it!!!!!
Gixxila is stock 🙈 we will see
I think WSBK has proved that the TQ of the Suzuki doesn't equal wins or a problem for the ZX10R
Awesome explanation. I am looking forward to get that new exhaust
Hey Brock, did you change the ignition timing in this zx10 with full system ? Or is it stock like 32degrees?
stock.
Excellent video.
Glad you like!
When is that new exhaust available for the zx-10?
jan 2020
This guy has been legit for years.
As a performance enthusiast, we will have to agree to disagree on your position, but I respect where you are coming from.
Another splendid video - thanks!
WOW i can't wait for part 2!!!!!
The owner just takes the damper off and drops the forks 3". We won't do that for a bike under our control...but he can do as he likes.
Love your vids brock.
Very happy to see a zx10. Im slowing making my 17 stupid fast lol strap kit is next!
Thanks Brock, great breadown of power comparisons. When I get a 5th gen (still loving my 1st gen), then you know which exhaust I'm putting on 🍻
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@BrockDavidson I had one of the first Alien head exhausts in Canada (about 10-12 years ago) on one of my 1st gens, coupled with Hindle headers. Thing was beast mode.

Hey brock what would a stock bmw s1000rr 2015/2016 put down on your dyno?

Why gixxer? What sets him apart from other supersbikes?thanks,
Mostly personal preference. The latest crop of modern 1000cc sport bikes are all very close in performance.
what about the sound? is more loud or not
Yes. Much louder than stock.

Hello Brock, I have a question for you. Which engine do ya think is bulletproof? GsxR or ZX10?
We have a long history with the GSX-R engines dating back to 2001...you have to TRY to break them and they will fight you all the way. One of the toughest engines ever, IMHO. We have been working with the 10's since 2011 and have never broken one, they seem to be tough as nails also. Can tell you about previous 10's.
@@BrockDavidson Thank you for the reply and look forward for good videos.
What about CBR1ks?

Have you ever bought a euro ecu an compared the difference in our U.S. ones
Yes. The US (California) version is much more restricted.
Brock Davidson is there really a 20hp difference in our bikes and there’s do to the restrictions
Brock Davidson and I predict the Gsxr wins by 3/4 or a bike on track vs ninja
@@903assengsxr7 yes, easily. Of course, it would depend on the exact make/model/year etc.
well naturally you want to cross the line then change to next gear. .not change gear and cross 2 seconds later . even though it's flatt changes still loose something. ..got a 997 out of my full stock hayabusa 02 model. 141 mph.
correct!
It's been so long and I can't find the cd that had the maps on them that came with the exhaust I bought new from you. Thanks Mark
Mark,
No problem! Just go here and request a map: blog.brocksperformance.com/map-support-purchased-used/ our Map Support Team will ask you for any info. they need to verify your purchase. If you want to send some pipe-side images to MapSupport@BrocksPerformance.com , that will speed things up.
@@BrockDavidson ..... thank you ...also i was wondering if the ecu was ever hacked to unlock big gains ? At one point there was only a few things that cold be done. I'm just wondering how I can get my bike to compete with these doggone litre bikes nowadays . One more thing do the gen 1. Zx14 respond well to mild headwork....... thanks for the reply
@POPSMOKE, since the 06's were euro 3, there really weren't many ECU restrictions that removing the secondary throttle plates didn't cure. In fact, we went VERY quick and fast with the stock ECU and some bolt-on tricks. Full stories here: blog.brocksperformance.com/kawasaki-zx-14-06-11/
