I know MJ is the greatest of all time. Yet, every time I watch him, I'm amazed at his skill, will and determination to win. There is nobody that has ever played who can match up with him. He may not be the perfect player but, he certainly comes the closest. Frankly, comparing LBJ to MJ, is an insult to MJ!

To be a fly on the wall and watch *The Master* feverishly working on his craft again during those months after the embarrassment he felt losing to Orlando, and the drive he must have had, knowing *HE'D SEE THEM AGAIN* the following season must have been amazing to watch❗️❗️❗️
Was there ever doubt, in his mind after that journey, after Orlando defeated the Bulls with a young up and coming Penny Hardaway, an experienced Horace Grant, an the up and coming *Powerful Force* Shaquille O'Neal that he, MJ could come back the victor❓️

And not to discredit his Bulls teammates, and not to discount the shooters in today's league, but to do what he did in that era, against the type and style of defenses played back then is "Ultra Amazing" to me.

But it wouldn’t have mattered which magic team it was,basketball player MJ and the Bulls still would’ve dump-trucked Orlando.

The golden era of the NBA. An era we will never see again. No tattoos, no crazy hair (except for Rodman of course), no gangbangers, everyone was clean cut, professional, and there were some intense rivalries. Those days are long gone. Today's NBA is complete trash.

To me the true revenge moment was 3:17 when he stole the ball from Nick Anderson. That echoed Anderson's steal on MJ in 95. And look at that subtle ball fake at 2:58 and how it got Shaw to bite completely. It is the result of a reputation of being able to instantly attack from left or right off the dribble. You never see Lebrick getting that kind of space with his slow-mo cookie cutter jab step have you?

I just think that the impression that play gave most people ( those who only watched highlights) was that MJ wasn't his former self anymore for mishandling the ball in such crucial moment in such embarrassing way. Even during the first 4 games of 93 ECF when his shot was really out of whack he never appeared to be that rusty like numerous occasions he had in 95 playoff vs the Magics. I think it was a symbolic moment that the sport media back then love to exaggerate for the temporary decline of Jordan as a player. That's why I think this particular steal was a direct counter play to that one in 95, again symbolically speaking.
Well he was rusty in 95 because he just came back from baseball.
Baseball went on strike that year so MJ came back to the Bulls and played the last 17 games of the season.
He was a baseball player playing in the nba at the end of 95 that why he wasn’t in proper shape and all his basketball rhythm & timing was off after playing baseball from 31 to 33 years old.
It is a myth that Jordan was a bad 3-point shooter. For the era, he was average and maybe even above average.

It is funny how these millennials say and criticize the way these guys used to play or the 90s game. There are many videos to proof that the defenders didnt stand there and roll a red carpet for their opponents. You can obviously see with your own eyes that back then no one stood up still looking at the other player passing by or shooting the ball that easily. Now, todays game, its another dimension hahahaha where players not only admire the other players destruction against their team but roll a red carpet for such a character so called the king to see him passing by for an easy dunk hahahahahaabhaha

Exactly. Kobe also mentioned this about jordan and why he adapted his game. Less effort and still worth 2 or 3 points. It also help you conserve energy to play defense. Those dribble dribble dribble dribble moves will not give u an additional point plus it also put more effort on your lower body that may eventually result to injuries. This is also why i think Kyrie is always injured

It's so misleading to say he came back in '95. lol He didn't play even 25% of the season's games, if memory serves, after playing baseball for 1.5 years. I understand it's more dramatic to present it otherwise, but I find it to be one of the weaker criticisms of him from detractors.
