Who’s The Better Shooter? Kobe Or MJ
MJ
Mj
The Black Mamba in my Humble Opinion was the BETTER SHOOTER and I'm a MJ FINATIC born and raised in CHICAGO !!!!
MJ. Numbers don’t lie. Most bricks in NBA history vs a 50% career avg from the field and in the clutch 😂
@stanleygay7579 How can you say that then.
There's tape, it's proven. The knock on Kobe is inconsistent shooting. That was always his thing. Jacking up shots.
Jordan has a better shooting average and is more clutch.
Jordan being the goat over Leborn is a lot more than just 2 extra rings imo bro.
The game is literally played to win championships. How slow to know are you?
“Who’s the goat?” Michael Jordan.: “ dumb question the question should be who’s the greatest team” That’s how a true goat responds to a question like that.
i prefer Larry Birds game to Jordan but got them both as goats
Jordan's defensive play at 11:03 is an another example of why he's the greatest. Even if his offense isn't working, he always reading the floor and looking for weaknesses he can exploit to get the team over the finish line. Calling for Kerr to shoot the 1997 finals-winning jumper after he pulled away the defense is another perfect example.
This is why Kobe learned to respect Mike so much. Individual skill is great for stats and highlights but becoming an era-defining champion requires a drive and understanding of the game that few have possessed. It's why someone like Westbrook could average a triple double across multiple seasons yet collapse when everything was on the line.
Lastly, I assure you Rodman had no intention of fighting Shaq. He was the master of getting into player's heads and one of the few capable of shutting down the big man despite the obvious size mismatch. This team was hitting on all fronts.
4 rings or 6, MJ's prime was still better than LeBron's regardless.
No need to state the obvious. :)
MJ is also better then Kobe
@@matthewness7948 Very clearly. Some see some stylistic similarities and assume they are close but Kobe never had a stranglehold on the league like MJ did.
LeBron stay on ya mind lol ...u old MJ Hanes washer MJ booty watcher...
@@TayGee-mh8eoMJ didn't have a stranglehold on anything. The bulls did. MJ himself says teams are winners not players.
2 3-peats is not only unsurpassed, it is unsurpassable. And no Game 7 just seals it for all time.
😏 Strong response!
I once heard that the Chicago Bulls in the 90s did not have a losing record against any team. Add the fact that the 93 run was the only championship season where they didn’t win 60+ games… that is just incredible dominance.
And that was only because both Jordan and Pippen played the summer before on the Dream Team. So...after two long seasons they spent all summer playing on the Dream Team. They were both exhausted and coasted a little bit in the regular season.
@@TayGee-mh8eo dude, the Bulls winning 69 games right after winning 72 is crazy. I believe Hakeem and the Rockets are the only team that didn’t have a losing record against the Bulls, their record was at .500, a tie.
@@Serching4JerryGarcia The Bulls absolutely had a stranglehold on the league despite all the talent (Hakeem's Rockets, Shaq and Penny, the Jazz, Sonics, Knicks, etc). MJ never let them lose 3 games in a row even when Pippen missed 35 games of the regular season in 1997-98. That is insane. This is domination on a level we have not witnessed since.
They have a losing record against Olajuwon and the Rockets in their first 3peat
@ariesballesteros5881 I think he was speaking of the whole decade while MJ was playing.
It’s hard to say. MJ was strategic and efficient with his shot selection. Kobe would shoot from anywhere for no reason other than he believes he could make it. And he did make a lot of amazing tough shots because he attempted a lot more of them than MJ did. If Kobe was more selective with his shot and MJ was more gunslinger from anywhere maybe it would be closer. But for me, I will go with MJ. For his position, MJ is the second most efficient SG in NBA history. The guy ahead of him wasn’t a high volume shooter. To shoot as much as he did for his position and be basically at 50% for his career is crazy.
Perfect comment. This is the single reason no one touches MJ.
When he was young, he would be in the top ten in the league in FG% while averaging mid-30s PPG at shooting guard.
Kobe never came close to that.
...dude, its hard to say. Stop it. MJ, is HIM!!! Period. Kobe cool...but he aint him!
@@aircablenetwork8581 did you not read my whole comment. I gave context to what I said and provided evidence why I said MJ. If you can’t understand, it’s better to not say anything instead of saying something ridiculous.
Who is more efficient than Jordan
@moe
Nope, Kobe just don't care about shot selection he only cares about a win. That's why nerds don't play basketball. Like what Kobe said in 2002 kid, Michael Jordan is the GOaT let me be me. That's how he respected him. Unlike the video poster.
Jordans highlights are extraordinary and unique. Nobody can move as spectacular as Mj. The closest comparison would only Kobe to be l'ike Mike".Furthermore the 6 rings in 6 finals and 6 MVP's is amazing ..Kobe, Lebron nor shaq has accomplished tha feat. Whether its Offensively and defensively only Mj can give you the excitement that brought the basketball world together.
Jordans unprecedented 1988 season proved he was the greatest ever
(MVP, Scoring Title, Defensive Player of the Year and Slam Dunk Champion)
His 6 Rings & 6 Finals MVPs just backed up what we already knew
This was great, I appreciate you keeping the original 4:3 aspect ratio
90s: fights and mid range jumpers. 2010 and beyond: threes, threes, threeees!!!!
I remember watching this game live when I was a kid. I watched every game.
I always got frustrated because the Bulls have never had a good center in an era dominated by centers in the low post, with Shaq being the best.
But I was also even more frustrated that Jordan would make all these crazy shots, just in front of the 3 point line, even with a foot over. And I was always thinking, why doesn't he move back a few steps and make it??
But when Jordan felt it, he felt it. . .
And that was before the emphasis on the era of always shooting 3 point shots.
He was AIR JORDAN in his 20s and the man who defied gravity. But in his 30s, his competitiveness and agressive nature made him become the greatest clutch shooter in history. Who invented the turnaround fadeaway.
Other players copied it also, like Kobe. Or Dirk Nowitzski, with a similar shot only putting his knee out towards the defender to add extra room on the shot.
But still, no one has ever been able to do his fadeaway better. 💯💯💯
What a good video, man, very good
Hell yeah. Great summary.
Michael Jordan is the Michael Jordan of all Michael Jordans
Mad breakdown, brother. 👌
This was an excellent presentation; it flowed, like a Cadillac on cruise control.
Bro, I know you didn't say, "KD's Warriors." Lol.
...that was stupid. Today NBA is ghey.
Curry's overrated.
Heard that and looked for this comment. Haha just for the records Steph’s warriors got two without KD
“Roman empire was not great because their competition did not have fighter jets “ Lebron fans
Lebron is better than MJ,just admit it.
@@tedwang906 Haha 🤣 😂😂 you have a future in comedy !!!
@@DRUIDLABI not difficult to recognize that, can MJ play that long time as Lebron? Come on.Lebron is better.
Excellent analysis
Speaking of this game and not telling about Shaq locked down by Rodman in second half is a fail.
I remember watching this on TV! Great game to watch. I'm sure even better at the united center.
Well, though being the first to comment I'll not use my privilege to say mj is the goat and a better shooter in my impression.. And if I'm wrong, mj is still the most effective player of all time based on his rings and the stories behind them and he's the most entertaining ever.
MJ the best mid range shooter in the history of nba better pure shooter kobe just better at 3s because he added that to his game and 3s was important to him but not MJ. U can look at their shooting % mj is way better but kobe my # 2 player behind mj
Jordan played on the best team in the 1990s. There was no other team that was really consistent in the 1990s
I never played with MJ (obviously) but I did play with a veteran baller who had international experience and who represented his country (NZ) for over a decade. The guy was in his late 40s at the time. He had the same never say die attitude and refused to stop fighting, even in games were behind by 20+ points in and we were in a YMCA style league. His advice in timeouts was to just chip away and not give up. He had an unshakable confidence he could win any game and it was infectious. That player was Byron Vaetoe. 'At 1.97 metres, with big mitts, silky skills, bundles of athleticism and a killer shot, he was one of the great Kiwi basketballers of his generation'. (Marc Hinton)
MJ=GOAT
I remember this game very well.
One of the most dramatic games ever. People who haven't seen it, should definetily do that.
He took it personal...🐐🐐🐐🐐
Excellent video. MJ GOAT
You are smoked out. Eddie jones was starting and Kobe coming off the bench like you said an 18 yr old fresh out of high school. The bulls were defending champions in the middle of a second three peat. The Lakers wouldn’t go anywhere until they learned to play great team ball on offense and defense and that wouldn’t happen with del Harris. It wouldn’t happen until Phil arrived. Winning this game would have changed nothing. They were a collection of talent, not a great contender at the time. Derek fisher was also a rookie getting low minutes. Van exel was starting. Jordan himself had to wait for legends to get old before he started winning and this team was in its infancy. Jordan was the greatest but don’t twist history you obviously have no idea about. The Lakers weren’t challenging anyone yet. They were a newly formed threat. Jordan was still at peak form with a 72 win 3peat dynasty
100% its clickbait, but the editing makes it worth watching. Allegedly
I thought this would be the actual video from the game and not this.
MJ 🐐
I remember watching this game at my boy Dre's house. My buddy Willy was going with the Lakers. I was a Bulls fan, any my boy Dre was going for the Bulls as well. The Bulls won in overtime.
It was a great game. Remember, back in the 90s, the first team that reaches 100 points usually wins. The Lakers reach 100 points by the 3rd quarter..
He focused on offense But the 4td quarter comeback Was the Bulls-The defense is what carried the Bulls..Not the offense
Something important that was not mentioned in this video, Rodman's defense on Shaq on the 2nd half. Shaq made 2 buckets on Wennington, after that, Phil put Dennis on Shaq, and he literally didn't score once more during the remaining of the game.
Those 1996 through 1999 LA Lakers teams were fun to watch. It was a shame that head coach Del Harris didn't know how to manage such a collection of talent. During that period, the players with experience would get the nod to start. I always felt that if someone in that LA Lakers organization had the stones to make the gutsiest decision, it would have been to start a young raw Kobe Bryant instead of Eddie Jones. I know Phil Jackson fixed those things after the Del Harris run. I felt bad when Kurt Rambis was the interim coach. The team appeared to have completely tuned him out many times. Regardless, I still liked coach Rambis despite the overwhelming problems he inherited. Despite that roster not getting to the Finals, I still liked Nick Van Excel, Eddie Jones and Elden Campbell. And of course, most of all, Shaq & Kobe together.
Jordan is the greatest of all time, and that is it period.
Lets not forget that Shaquille team in Orlando is the only one to stop the bulll and beat them with Michael Jordan. Chicago Bulls vs Orlando Magic Game 6 Full Highlights - NBA ECSF 1995. Jordan 24 pts, Shaq 27 pts. Shaq and Penny
Orlando didn't seal the deal. No chip.
How about make a video against spurs 🤭 young Duncan and admiral v the bulls
One of the Only Benefits of living as long as I have Been Blessed to Live, in good health,(74 in 2 Months) is that I was around to see Russell, Frasier, Kareem(When he was still "Lew Alcindor), Pistol Pete, and later The Bird, Magic, and Jordan Eras, along with their Team Mates and the Accompanying Rivals, and other "Star Ballers" Like Isaiah(Zeke) Thomas, Dennis Rodman, Allen Iverson, Reggie Miller, Shaq, and Of Course The Great "Black Mamba", Kobe Bryant.(I'd also be Remiss if I didn't mention the much more current, and at present, The Reigning Queen Of Women's Basket Ball, Caitlin Clark, because like the others I've mentioned, Caitlin is a Massive B-Ball Talent, and just a Pleasure to watch "Do What She Do")
No matter what Basketball is going to become in the future, I'll always maintain that I was Blessed to Witness It When It was at the Highest Level Of Play.
I consider videos of these players, Most Especially Jordan, like I do Clint Eastwood and John Wayne Westerns along with a Very Few others(Robert Duvall).
For This Old Goat Roper, that is Entertainment of the Highest and Most Enjoyable Order.
Whenever the woes of the current world's Nonsense seem to hang, like a Black Cloud, Over Everything, I can pull one or the other of them up and Escape It All, if only for a couple of Hours, then I come back to current day reality, rested and refreshed enough to Get After It Again. Maybe an odd comparison, since the Westerns I love are total Fantasy, and the High Flying Gymnastics of Jordan were in fact Very Very Real, but Both have the ability to entertain as well as reinvigorate, and prepare me to, once more, face the Blazing Dumpster, & Rolling Crap Show that occupies so much of Today's world.
Surprised your comment hasn't gotten more likes! You got to experience and see it all !!! Props 🙌🏾
Thanks for the kind words. I just happened to be born at the right time to see some really good and some really Bad stuff happen, and a whole lot of Monumental Changes take place. I was born in 1950 on a South Georgia Dirt Farm, when Jim Crow Was Alive and Well. I didn't have to read about that Shit. I lived around it. Even as a Whiter than White Child, I knew right away, as soon as I became able to reason that the evil stuff that was going on could not possibly be anything but wrong, and Thankfully got to see it all change for the better. I saw Elvis when he first became popular, Muhammed Ali when he fought as Cassius Clay. Served in the navy during Vietnam, became a Rodeo Cowboy, Horse Trainer, Saddle Bum and Bronc Stomper, and made my living at that for well over a decade. Men walk on the Moon, Kennedy's Assassination, along with MLK, Bobby and Malcom Shot down. Always loved basketball, and saw the almost Immediate Improvement when it was desegregated, and then the Stars started to shine. I gave it up when Jordan Retired. Saw Secretariat Revolutionize the Standard for a Great race Horse. Color TVs were something for this Farm Boy to see. All sorts of wonderful and some really Terrible stuff happen, but everything Changed and changed again. Now at almost 74 I look back and am amazed at all the changes, Good and Bad that I was privileged to witness in real time. My Grandfather was born during The Civil War, and my father told me about the time he saw his first Train, and it scared him to death with all the noise, smoke and steam. He said all the Dogs, and half the Horses and Mules Left and he wanted to go with them........ I have to say it has been one hell Of A Ride, and given the chance I'd probably do the exact same thing all over again. Now you know much more about me than you ever wanted to, but that's what happens when an Old fart like me, gets on a Roll
The GOAT
Looked like the boss didn't show up on the Lakers that day.😂
Mj was different in that 96/97 season remember they won 69 games that season and that flu game that same season goat
Jordan was NEVER different, definitely different than others, but he never changed or was different in how he played. He always was the most competitive person in any room.
The 95/96 season this video is talking about. They went 72 wins.
But the 96/97 season you are talking about they went 69 only because every one around him. And Scottie frustrated with his contract.
The Jordan flu game, they were in the finals.
He had a temp of 104 degrees. He was dying on the bench and could barely walk. But he still made 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and hit the game winning 3. . . Then had to be carried off the court by Scottie. LOL. . .
That man was INHUMAN.
You had to shoot him, stab him, anything you could to keep him from winning. And still he'd probably show up on the court in a wheel chair and school everybody. LOL😂
Nowadays, people sit out if they have a sprained finger. LMAO😂😢
Which year is this?
Can we just give Jordan 8 rings? Had his father lived it would be at least 8.
Common theory is his dad was the message. He was told to step off. They might even have told him to just pay the money he owed. Organized criminals have morals too. It just so happened that Mike was better at basketball than he ever was at gambling. Or baseball.
Dude was working with a dangerous ego. With dangerous people. Couldn't exactly just whack Mike at that time. His arrogance got his dad killed.
Sociopaths don't really ever admit guilt. Think he's not guilty? He had kids making sneakers, in a sweatshop environment. For 25 cents a day. 14 hours a day. It apparently didn't faze him as much as it should've. The only concern was? Getting caught. Never mind the exploitation. Or kidnapping.
I haven't seen an MJ/Gatorade commercial lately. Brands are cutting ties quick.
Imagine if he's somehow innocent...
@@ryansnustad9133so why did MJ not stopped at the time ?
your praise aboutOneil have to include his beat up of the 96 magic bulls playoff series .
watch the first game the first 6 minutes luc longley was awesome and the def of mj against nickanderson from another planet.
listen to bill walton as commentary he explained very well
JORDAN #1 Not a debate.
KOBE #1.5 Not a debate.
#2 & the rest of the NBA, many other players way ahead of LeChump. I had to rank. LeChump dead last pick. LeChump such an under achieving player. Mr. 1/2 season since joining L.A... and wants a claim to goat status, yeah that goat that faints when scared... Quits, flops and cries...bahhahh...
GOAT! Lebron don’t need more rings. Jordan was way quicker off the dribble, better inside the three line, more skilled ball handler, and the better defensive player. Even in the three, his weakest area, he is 1% or less away from Lebron’s stat. Add to that the fact he was a better decision maker, more competitive, and the epitome of clutch. No one took the ball away from his hands in that last minute; there was no cop out in his mind; he controlled the Bulls’ fate on his own. He lived for those moments and thrived like no other player I have ever seen.
All the white boys be like: I want to be like Mike!!!, and singing “I believe I can fly”. White girls where all quite but their memorized eyes reminded me of the first coming of the Beatles or Elvis. Ssshhhh, don’t say it too loud. Meanwhile in the rest of the world, where Black-White relationships were more normalized, they were chasing after him.
This generation has no idea how big Jordan was world wide even in soccer dominated countries. He had to sneak out of places to get away from the crowds. Who can forget the Spain Olympics, crowds chasing after the bus, and waiting outside the hotel to get a glance of him. Players in the opposite team taking their cameras out DURING the games to take snapshots of JORDAN!!! You guys really missed the GOAT era. I was insane that’s all I can say.
MJ and he did it eith the same team. And even after he left for 2 years for baseball. If MJ had played straight thru. His numbers would of been oof the charts 👍
This video looks interesting, but the background music makes it unwatchable.
I saw this game when it happened on TNT, the Bulls were toying with the Lakers; the Lakers just got off to a huge lead but Chicago was just not playing like they were accustomed and played the Lakers into their tune and manipulated the entire game mentally to destroy the Lakers and break them down showing them the game is 70/30 mental to physical and Chicago was on the 2nd season after the 72-10 team in 1996-97...so this was a joke in how the Bulls toyed with the Lakers.
Kobe was so close to playing with majic
They found out to play Michael Jordan on a video game. Calmy his performed way. But Michael Jordan still good.
except the bulls never had a all start center , bill winnington ?????
maybe luc longley or bill cartwright? just a joke he dont need a center only to distract the opp. center

Michael Jordan is the Best.
Forgive me but I think the real hero of that game was Dennis Rodman. IIRC he had held Shaq to nearly single digit points for most of the second half. Nearly 20 rebounds and multiple steals. Not to mention the 300 IQ play at the end not letting them foul him after his rebound.

Left hand dribble
MJ did with class
Mj is the one no one comes close by the goat

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every time the narrator was talking about what Shaq did he missed the shot.
EVERY TIME..🧱
Another reminder that 3pts were not "barely used" 😂. Kids just need to watch at least full game summary instead just random plays 😂. But hey, I guess they have the attention span from tiktok
LeCry, LeFlop, LeDouche, LeWhine, LeNoGoat! Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Magic, Chamberlain are my top 5! I would even put Dirk Nowitzki above LeCry Baby any day!
Team game
I do not know why anyone argues on the GOAT debate. It is the individuals ceiling, which puts MJ far higher than anyone else, plus the fear factor. No-one ever lost sleep knowing they had to guard LeBron. I guarantee no-one got sleep trying to play Jordan.
I don’t even watch basketball, but this was a good one ,everyone in the world knows M.J .strarted to buy his shoes for a comfort and quantity, not his name ,they need to re-release the Tokyo drift fast and furious Jordons ,in red suede and black ..
the word KD's warriors disturbed me
This video shows that narration can change how something is viewed. I remember this game. Pip killed all game. MJ killed the 1st half and Kukoc killed the 2nd half. They all had over 30. Led by Pip, then Kukoc, then MJ. This was not the game to show MJs dominance. He could've picked many more. This was an all out TEAM win
kobe still young.
Lost all credibility with “KD’s” Warriors comment 🤦♂️
Kobe was a rookie, Let's see them in their prime.
Mj cant be easily intimidated 🎉🎉

finals. Each of those 6 Rings was won with all the

Game 7 of the Championship Finals.
- No other team since the birth of the NBA has ever achieved that.
- there will be no other team that is ever gonna achieve it in the next 100 years.
Factor Here is Coaching, Phil Jackson VS. Del Harris? Not even in the same Level. PHIL IS THE GOAT COACH COZ WHEN HE HANDLED THE LAKERS AFTER MJ, THEY BECAME THE DOMINANT TEAM THAT THEY DESERVE TO BE. It was Phil who made the Difference, Phil & Tex Winters.

Ill say this one more time.. kobe has an interview saying this... kobes favorite player growing up as a kid, 1st, was magic johnson, aka the other MJ.... get yalls knowledge up
I subscribed excellent analysis MJ is only goat 🐐 and kobe is top 3 with Lefraud being maybe top 20 depending on peds becoming confirmed which would torch the "longevity" argument from bronsexuals 😂😂😂😂
Another time LeBron ... Le Bron not is at the Jordan level ....
Le Bron lost VS Dirk and then TD when he was 28 and the others 2 35-40.

btw, Great game ... 22 points down and came back to tied and won. - Great team work effort by Chicago. (Not just MJ alone.)
If Championships is the standard of GOAT Debate then Bill Russell is the GOAT not Jordan
I like How Jordanatics showing their thumbnail with MJ vs shaq and Kobe and pretending Pippen and Rodman doesn't exist 😂
considered? u must be really young. i almost a half of century old and believe me when a bulls game was tight u know u know he gets the ball and he try to made it.
