- This is a tool-assisted speedrun. For more information, see tasvideos.org/...
TAS originally published on 2006-12-25
This run of Paperboy performs a perfect delivery every day. The author crashes his bike Monday - Saturday to avoid the obstacle course but then plays and finishes it flawlessly on Sunday. It does this as fast as possible, but does not go for score. Instead, it has different subgoals set up every day:
Monday & Tuesday: Object crashing day
Wednesday & Thursday: Window crashing day
Friday: Moving objects crashing day
Saturday: Daredevil day
Sunday: Lawful day
For more details, see the submission comments ( tasvideos.org/... ).
*looks out the window to see the paperboy throw three newspapers into my mailbox simultaneously with pinpoint accuracy, then break the neighbors windows*
What a fine young man!
“All six of my windows got smashed by the paperboy. My neighbors tell me the only way to prevent this daily occurrence is to subscribe to the newspaper. I guess I have no choice.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dont forget to paint you house accordingly!
I bet the newspaper company has a deal with the window replacement company.
Selfless of you to keep the Grim Reaper and various cats apprised of the news each day.
I loved this game. The vandalism was breathtaking at the time and frankly unmatched until basically Battlefield.
"Mysterious vandalism baffles police" That is one helluva incompetent police force that town has.
So average police then
Paperboy's true aim is to cause enough damage to be tried as an adult.
All those resubscribers from perfect deliveries and totally not the fact they were having multiple windows and other property broken daily.
Exactly 🤣🤣🤣
They didn’t want their windows broken again. 😂😂😂
The newspaper mafia
"Nice windows you got there..."
I think the important lesson is: If you want multiple papers each day, don't ever subscribe.
Hitting the grim reaper in the nuts with a newspaper is a fond memory of my youth
What kind of hellspawn HOA requires you to paint your house to indicate your newspaper subscription status??
It may be an insurance requirement or a voluntary action, born from fear.
@@DigiEggz Subbing to the local fishwrapper fine but why paint?
@@jansenart0 The paperboy judges purely by color. Brightly-colored houses get to keep their windows.
An HOA that colludes with the local newspaper company.
When you're subscribed to the Window Breakers Daily News and you wonder why they never asked for fees
I use to love playing this game at my grandparents’ house. I only ever got to Thursday and I end up missing at least one house all the time.
That's a real great way to get re-subscribers LOL "If you subscribe to our newspaper, you'll get 3 papers every day delivered straight to your mailbox. If you don't subscribe, we'll throw newspapers and destroy your living room windows every day. Technically it's still a subscription, just much more expensive"
Wow, a TAS from over 15 years ago. Its crazy how TASes published when I was only 4 years old are still being uploaded to today.
Wow, I didn't even notice! Thanks for pointing that out. Crazy how time flies...
This music is a banger. It should be profiled by Video Games Live.
There's just so much going on in this game.
Whoever this TAS guy is he is so good at games...keep up the work TAS
that is to say, a bike, a boy delivering newspapers, but let's go, it looks like a truck delivering newspapers, xd, where does he get so many?
I think I made it to Thursday once. The end of the route was always my favorite part.
Isnt there a way to make everybody a subscriber?
Vandalism doesn't strike me as a sound method of increasing your paper's customer base.
The mafia has a pretty solid business model 😂
I like how the non-subscribers get more copies of the paper than the people who actually pay for it.
I think that paperboy was remade on the gba
scooting the burbs
アメリカの新聞配達て、こういうスタイルなんだなぁ..。停まることさえ許されない
The sound of busted windows continue to make me laugh.
Random break dancer guy is hilarious
...and all it is, is 95% ads for window installations.
"I subscribed to the newspaper. The painters are coming by to paint the house later."
I will never forget that distinct noise at 8:47 for a long as I live. It always happened at least once through any playthrough.

Wtf he does?

This dang game always did have the jankiest hitboxes.
Worse. Paperboy. Ever.
Looks to me like he's the best paperboy. What better way to "convince" people to subscribe than to break their windows?
