There is a game that was developed by Insomniac Games for the PlayStation in 1996, called Disruptor. It is Insomniac Games' first game, with Universal Interactive Studios co-producing with Interplay for the publishment of the game. In 1998, Insomniac later went to develop the Spyro series starting with Spyro the Dragon, and its two sequels in 1999 and 2000.
Yea, and then re-paint back to the previous color if you wish to cancel your subscription. I guess if you're gonna be on his route, be sure to not only pay the fee, but make a trip to Home Depot as well! 🎨🖌️🧑🎨🏠🗞️🚴🗓️
B Williams I broke windows, knocked over headstones, and broke those little glass things atop the brick post things at the end of the driveways-that made the coolest noise lol
This port of Paperboy was actually done by a company called Eastridge Technology and was the VERY first NES game to be developed in the USA rather than Japan or Europe.
When I was a kindergartner NC, I always wondered what was the fella on the floor doing with us legs waving them into the air? Turns out in the arcade version, he was break dancing.
I loved this game but always found it kinda eerie. The tombstones in the front yard, the grim reaper, kids playing in the streets, lawnmowers that drive themselves, tornados that chase you, the guy stroking out on the sidewalk. Jeez, I miss these times. Lol
I played Paperboy on my Nintendo NES using the standard NES controller and the NES Advantage, I when I was in high school from 2002 to 2003. One day, I want to beat the game with any NES controller accessory that I will get.
A good arcade game that reminds me of my tender youth, and which I now play on the nes in mini version, or on my tablet via an application or an emulator
Decent enough for the 1st US made NES game. Remember to get a unsubscriber to resubscribe just send them a paper anyways, right through their freaking window. Extra Extra read all about it Paperboy goes on a rampage. Windows smashed everywhere and lawn ornaments broken to pieces. By the way buy today's edition and get a %25 off coupon at Sears good on any Kenmore, Craftsman, Sony, or Clothing purchase. Also included is a list of Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video's current releases for July 88. Coupon books included for both. A copy of the paper is only $1 what a steal.
Houses with headstones in front of them, other houses with mounted tires just flying haphazardly out of garages, sidewalks with tweakers having seizures upside down, other neighbors running out of their garden into the street for no reason, dudes jackhammering? (I think?) the sidewalk also for no reason, the grim reaper just chilling, doghouses right next to the sidewalks with angry dogs that only chase paperboys and not any of the other random neighbors, a tornado (???), the only traffic is dudes just barreling down the street on dune buggies and one terrible driver in a random car, and a totally random obstacle course built onto the end of the neighborhood, with the only 3 friendly neighbors at the end- one of which doesn’t appear to have a head??? Reminds me of my old neighborhood in Topeka, Kansas.
My first job ever was delivering the evening news on my haro master. It was great a paper route after school with no waking up early. Used this game as practice. Unfortunately after 2 years evening news became a regular morning paper and 430 am was no fun
I remember that i saw images of the Genesis version longtime ago. But i didn’t know there was a NES adaptation. Apparently, people don’t care if you break their windows. As long as they got their newspapers in time. 14:46 that’s the icing on the cake for me. PS : i discovered a show called Get A Life(1991-1993) about a 32 year old paperboy. You should watch it, this is crazy !
We always threw the papers everywhere, mailbox, window, whatever. We did not care about the colour of the house, especially when we used a black and white TV connected to the Commodore 64.
Funny how I used to think whatever happens, newspaper delivery is a consistent job until it wasn't anymore. I used to push around 12000 pound bailer carts filled with misprints whistling this song lmao. Got to deliver the papers, cell phones pfff yeah ok lmao. Yes I had a bmx bike growing up, one was a custom made gift and the second one I found a frame and built it myself. Both of which got stolen during a neighborhood crime wave *shrug
The real shocker was the SMS version was done by TIERTEX of all companies, and IT'S ACTUALLY GREAT. *HAS THE WORLD ENDED OR AM I GOING CRAZY THINKING ABOUT THAT*
If we’re gonna be making movies of video games and it seems like we are WEVW GOTTA DO A MOVIE OF PAPERBOY It’s got all the elements of a good movie Crazy ladies RC cars Out of control Dogs People break dancing in the middle of the street Lawn ornaments coming to life THE GRIM REAPER and GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE SOMEONE COULD EASILY MAKE THIS INTO A MOVIE
This was an interesting game. I wonder when they made this game were they trying to make more young people deliver the newspaper for a job? Get people excited about delivering the newspapers.🤔
Has anyone played Paperboy on the NES with the Bandai Super Controller, NES Advantage, Mega Programmble Controller, NES Max, Hyperstick Controller, Hyper Variable Speed Controller, Akklaim Remote Controller, Roll & Rocker, Ultimate Superstick, Jazz Stick, Remote Wireless Ultimate Superstick, Zoomer, Zinger, Zipper, Gizmo Joystick, Camerica Freedom Connection, Supersonic: The Joystick, U-Force, The Nintendo Double Player, Mother Ship Control Enhancer, Joycard Sansui SSS, The Dominator Master Control, the QuickShot/Bondwell line (QuickShot Joystick, QS-126 Joypad, Maverick 2, Flightgrip 2, Python 2), Power Glove, Turbo Blaster, Power Player, Speedboard, The Game Handler, and/or the Capcom Fighter Power Stick (designed for Street Fighter II; the dark colored joystick for the Super NES and NES)?
My request is you play Fire Emblem Dark Dragon And The Blade Of Light with English version because It's been 30 years since the game came out outside Japan.
With neighbors like this, it's amazing that any kid with a paper route manages to survive childhood!

Hence to the reason on why Paper Boy retires in the most glorious fashion imaginable, he somehow made loads of money on the job.
Imagine having to paint your house so that the Paperboy knows that you want a newspaper...
Maybe they just rinse the blood off?
@@NintendoComplete Now that would be one exceptionally good question. If only we could ask the developers of the game that one. . . . . . .
Ask AVGN

I played this game in the arcade for about three years before I realized I wasn't supposed to smash every window on the block.
B Williams I broke windows, knocked over headstones, and broke those little glass things atop the brick post things at the end of the driveways-that made the coolest noise lol
Loved spending the night at my friend's house as a kid and we play this all night! Good game to put you to sleep eventually.
"PaperBoy Retires In Glory"
Grim reaper: Am I joke to you!?
This was my life!!! My childhood was amazing. Sad that my kids won’t have same one.
Oh yeah love the random tornado lol. Good memories with this game.
Bruh where did it even come from?
This port of Paperboy was actually done by a company called Eastridge Technology and was the VERY first NES game to be developed in the USA rather than Japan or Europe.
I never beat this game as a kid so it was a pleasure to watch.
Don't know I would want to live in a neighborhood with tombstones in front yards and the grim reaper wandering around.
😅😅😅
Played this all summer of 1988 as a latchkey kid
Did you beat it
Great game, brings back a lot of memories :D
This series needs a remake in the future.
MagicIce709 Too bad the newspaper industry is a dying business because, you know, Internets and all.
Perhaps we just don't deserve Paperman. At least there's Pepsiman to fill the void.
The VideoKid is a worthy successor to Paperboy. Its on Steam, Switch etc
I hated the houses with the Lawn Mower in front. Always messing up my shot. This was one of my top favorite NES Games. Still love it!
Petunia the skunk's Favorite Game/Job ;)
Man i miss playing this game on my fake psp red
When I was a kindergartner NC, I always wondered what was the fella on the floor doing with us legs waving them into the air? Turns out in the arcade version, he was break dancing.
The perfect job doesn't exis...
this soundtrack is on par with bubble bobble for monotonous tunes I will never get unstuck from my head
But I love it
The arcade version has a longer composition if you want to hear that
I still hear the theme song in my head whenever I ride my bike.
If only I had known as a child a mere 19 minutes could destroy this....
I loved this game but always found it kinda eerie. The tombstones in the front yard, the grim reaper, kids playing in the streets, lawnmowers that drive themselves, tornados that chase you, the guy stroking out on the sidewalk. Jeez, I miss these times. Lol
Random tombstones.. I miss this time
What's up with the guy at 5:45? Looks like he's struggling to get his pants on or has ants in his pants!
He's always been my favorite obstacle! Haha!
I think supposed to be "breakdancing" ahh i miss the 90's
that theme....... *tears up thinking about gametrailers era screwattack*
Where's the dude's head at the end of the race!?
Is paperboy on any of the hand held consoles? I have a few with so many games and they do not have paperboy.
Paperboy 1 & 2 were ported to GameBoy and the arcade port of Paperboy was ported to PSP as a part of Midway Arcade Treasures.
Still got this game on the GBA. Still cant beat it due to the smaller screen size, the skateboard dude always gets me.
Paperboy, fighting against the forces of evil from TV journalism. 8^)
That's some real HEFTY paper for it to be able to smash a window the first try.
Extra! Extra! Paperboy goes mad!
19:37 I would also retire after whole week of escaping certain death by various crazy stuff.
My siblings use to play this game 30 years ago

Outer body experience watching this
What a lackluster ending lol

Hahaha for some stupid reason, I had a love hate to this game. It is addictive like "This game sucks! But let me see if I can beat it again..."

I remember playing thia back in 2010 and the music used to crack me up
0:54 bro did you give the dog house a paper too?
Best version in my opinion; i am still trying to nail the motorcyclist with papers
