Something so satisfying about watching this game get its butt kicked. When I was a kid I spent so many frustrating hours trying to win this game. I could never even get close. So for me this is awesome.

I remember this one time where I was on a perfect run , didn't miss any houses kept getting subscribers and then Sunday hit , lost all my hats to Tornadoes, Skateboard dudes, that crazy knife guy that chases you or a combo of all three after that I was never able to get that far 😞

I laughed to dead while I saw Paper Boy throwing newspapers through other people’s windows, or knocking over garbage cans, or cutting trees down with newspapers! I didn’t even know that cutting trees down was possible with newspapers😂!

This isn’t the original 1984 NES version. However this is the 1984 ATARI Arcade version. Very good score either way!

Best arcade game of all time imho. I dumped many a quarter into it to complete my final route! The only arcade game where I actually went to the end.

He wrecked on purpose several times so that when he respawned, he could deliver a paper to the same house AGAIN for more points.
Unlike the arcade version, this one doesn’t give you bonus points for however many lives you had left-so he was wise to use up all his remaining lives and complete the game with his last one, leveraging as many points as possible.
I wish I could have a freelance gig pay over 500K.
