Lovely to see Davey again. So kind of him to accompany Mummy, Percy et al to the Hampton flower show. What a glorious show! But the best was Mummy in her pink coat with the new hat. She looked the perfect, best rose of the whole show! Thank you Stephanie and Philip for maling them happy! ❤❤❤❤❤

"When you're old, you become invisible." I can testify to that, and I'm only 58. Isabelle looked so perfectly matched and beautiful in the pink coat and pink and green flowered hat at the end.

I remember when you got all hats. Loved seeing all she has now. Your hat was nice but mommy looked so beautiful but of course mommy would look beautiful in a plastic bag!
Mummy is not wrong in saying older people become invisible . I have worked with our elders for many years and that statement could not be truer. Let’s all work together to change this for the sake of our selves .

If you’re elderly and disabled you are doubly invisible. However occasionally you are seen and the condescending look of pity really ruffles my feathers. We still are active as best we can be and certainly our brain functions and we can hold conversation and share our wisdom gathered over the years. Don’t overlook the elderly and/or the disabled we still have a role to play in society and we’d love to do more given half a chance.
Peggy Seeger (fabulous folk artist) has a song called ‘The invisible woman’ which addresses this.
I have discovered that when one becomes a widow not only are you invisible, but you cease to exist.

OMG my mom, sister and I are laughing uncontrollably over Mummy’s chocolate covered jacket!! Hahaha that’s something that’s happened to us all, thank you for the amazing laugh today!!! LOL here in America we have these little wipes called Shout Wipes that you can scrub and clean spill/stains on your clothes on the go, they work WONDERS if you can find them in France or on Amazon get them, they’ve saved many a vacation for us! Hehe.

You'd think at almost 73, I would avoid pale colours for everyday clothes... and stick to my golden rule... just go with black or navy! Denise, in a very wet Sydney... 🦘

Mommy’s hat was everything! She looked beautiful.
Those are "Strandkörbe". We have them everywhere at the Baltic Sea. They were invented in the late 1900's and have become a staple for our beaches to shield you from the cold winds. You just drag them in the sand to adjust to the sun and wind. You can rent them when going to the beach.
Isabel you were the cutest flower at the garden show. Yes tree or flower fountains, yes forest gazebo.

When I was 18 I met a lovely young woman at a dinner party who lived in Hampton Court and knowing I was a designer she presented me to a friend of hers who worked as an intern at a fashion magazine who presented me to several editors and I ended up making clothes for them all and illustrating the magazine ! Nothing to do with this video which is lovely!

Dear Isobelle you are such a beautiful, always exceptionally turned out lady. I’m so happy that Percy has recovered sufficiently to have been able to make the trip from SA to U.K. to France back to U.K. Travelling can be very tiring but you’re looking so healthy and handsome Percy. You both make such a lovely couple!

There's a tiny motor called a trolling motor for small boats. It's very quiet. If you put a gazebo in the lake, I would suggest this motor to boat your guests there. Unless, of course , you built a bridge. Maybe a Japanese style bridge? 😊

Can you transport plants between Britain and Europe? I live 20 minutes from the US border, and I’m not allowed to bring plants back to Canada (because of the soil, not the plant). Believe me, I’ve tried!

It depends on the plants, and each countries import rules. For example, importing food plants into Britain is heavily restricted, for obvious reasons. It would be easier for Steph to chose her plants, then buy them in France.

My mother has always told me that hats looked rediciuosly on me and I believed that of course, as a child. When I met my Johannes and I put on one of his hats some day, he told me it looked great on me and that I should wear hats more often.
Now I have 14 hats I believe, and I do wear them more often, almost daily.
