I loved Pippen…. he’s disappointed so many of his fans and tarnished his name and legacy in the process. Maybe to help push his book sales but I ain’t buying that shit.
There's a backstory to the MJ and Isiah "situation". Bobby Knight was the coach for the University of Indiana where Isiah Thomas played for him his entire college career. Bobby Knight also coached the "1984 Olympic Basketball Team" in which MJ played on (he had not played in the NBA yet. He was drafted that year). Bobby Knight commented that he had never seen a basketball player with MJ's skill and that MJ had the potential to be one of the greats (this is before he played a single NBA game). MJ's Olympic team played the "NBA All Stars" to prep for the Olympics that year (Magic, Bird, Isiah, McHale, Walton, Ainge, Parrish, Worthy, and Drexler was on that team). The NBA All Stars did not win a game against MJ's Olympic Team (MJ's team went 8-0). Those games were not that close either. The NBA All Stars were shocked at MJ's skill and that he was bringing those skills to the NBA (there is a lot of info online about this). Also, Isiah is from Chicago. MJ not only got more praise from Isiah's college coach than he did, went undefeated during the Olympic trials in which he dominated, MJ also took over the city he was from. So there is some jealousy there as well.
I could not agree more, well said. Those are all excellent points to bring up, all of which are very true and definitely play a huge role in this intense rivalry. When MJ came along he was other worldly and outshined all of the other NBA talent. Zeke wanted his hard earned and deserved share of the limelight along with the praise and love of his coaches and city. It's almost like an older brother being treated unfairly by the rest of the family. Isaiah was a great player, but MJ was the evolution of the game, which would become the next wave. I think Isaiah was jealous of MJ from the beginning, from that 1st team USA Olympic day. Lest we forget the all-star game freezeout, but then there's the popularity difference, money-making differences, and implementation of the Jordan Rules... He uses the same old excuse all the time that Boston left the court without shaking hands with the Pistons after Detroit knocked them out of the playoffs in 1988. I'm not saying Bostons was right, no, but they left because the final game was in Detroit and they knew the fans would rush the court. It was more out of safety, but I'm sure part of it was being angry the Celtics lost. They did congratulate the Pistons after Detroit won though. Isaiah can't see how wrong it was to be so arrogant, disrespectful, and unbefitting of the downed champions. Why did he choose not be humble and respectful, congratulate the Bulls, and wish them luck? His whole story and career could be looked at differently, but HE made that choice and lives with the torment caused by his actions. He serves better as a terrible warning than a good example. Interesting fact: if you actually watch game 4 of the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, when the Bulls were about to complete the sweep of Detroit, with about 8-9 minutes left in the game you can see Zeke talking to his teammates and telling them of the plan he and Bill Laimbeer concocted to walk off in 1 final show of defiance. With just less than a minute left in the game, on the sidelines, you can clearly see Detroit head coach Chuck Daley saying and motioning, "No, don't do it/stop."
You are correct. Larry Bird still holds a grudge against Bill Lambeer for one reason: Not because he was physical, elbowed people, or talked trash. Bird said Lambeer would try to permanently hurt you. According LB, Lambeer would intentionally land on Robert Parish's ankles, causing them to twist. When he tried doing that to Bird, Larry did it back and Lambeer stopped.
It is most possible that Laimbeer actually put his foot where the opponent would land. This may seem strange, but the weight that gets to the foot doesn't make much harm; but the player who lands is in danger of twisting his ankle.
@@giovanni_7191 you are correct. It's a strategic move without consideration of permanent damage to the opponent which is over the top, assuming that is what Lambeer was intending to do.
Didn’t Jordan score 60 something points against Isaiah ? If Isaiah is still thinking about the statement Michael made then he lost again in another way. 😮
Bro the didn't let him dunk. The fouled him in the paint. Bird took a way bigger ass whipping than mj did. Yall need to stop. Was they rough w him yes but at no point was his career ever threatened when he and the bulls laced up to play the pistons. That's just factually incorrect

Zeke has done some other stuff too that labeled him an ass. MJ knows he’s anal about stuff that’s just who he is. Isaiah looks and appears weak to continually harp about this some 40 yrs later, really Zeke?
What saved Isiah with Magic is that Magic valued winning back to back over his friendship with Isiah, which is hilarious because Isiah was trying dethrone Magic. Isiah is upset because he started the beef with Jordan when the 84 USA team beat the breaks off of the NBA All Star players (including Isiah) and his former head coach Bobby Knight said then that Jordan was the best player he ever saw. Then Jordan goes to Chicago, Isiah’s hometown, and becomes the city’s darling, then he becomes a phenomenon with his shoes, commercials and media presence. Isiah retaliated with the infamous 85 all star game freeze out fueled by Jordan wearing chains and his Air Jordan warm ups instead of Chicago Bulls warm up gear during the slam dunk contest against Dominique, rookie mistake. Isiah and the Pistons beat Jordan and the Bulls in the playoffs 3 straight years. The Bulls finally sweep the Pistons in ‘91 when Isiah and most of the team walk off the floor without congratulating the new Eastern Conference Champs. Colangelo and Stern see this as bad sportsmanship and strengthen their case for not selecting Isiah and instead select Stockton as the 2nd guard behind Magic for the Dream Team. His head coach, Chuck Daly, ended up coaching the Dream Team as well. Isiah loses to Jordan ultimately because he is seemly the type of person who tries to take matters into his own hands even if he is the original source of the turmoil and provocation. Both can be cruel and ruthless but where Isiah is mafioso, Jordan is Machiavellian.
@@blobcity3591 You should forgive but you may also not forget. MJ may see any relationship with Isiah as toxic. In turn, Isiah may benefit from counseling. It must be difficult to feel this about MJ.
Zeke is just a typical jealous loser. jealous he's mostly forgotten, jealous he's never (because he doesn't deserve to be) in GOT talks. jealous that Jordan took over his home city and gets morelove there than he does. all the kids in his family look up to MJ and it burns him alive. basically he's a 60 year old sore loser. when him and his thuggish team were bullying the scrub Bulls in the 80's it was all fun. when one or two of MJ's teammates developed into half decent NBA starters, well that was that and the rest is history.
Zeke should apologize for leaving the court before the game ended so as not to be around to shake Jordan's hand when Jordan finally ended his career. Zeke should also apologize for playing like a dirty bastard against Jordan and the entire league.
It'll never happen. Jordan's not the only one whose ever called him that name , and if you know anything about Thomas, you also know tha he , right along with Bill Lambeer, was one of the most despised players in the league nearly his entire career and after it too.

first the Pistons got cheated out of the 88 title then they change rules on how defense can be played and and some injuries before Jordan did jack shit. Isiah did though pass away to Bird the 87 title. Zeke is GOAT candidate.
Thomas is just trying to save face here. I bet he was a bit surprised by what Jordan said in the last dance, probably been telling everyone that him and Jordan were friends up to that point. You can tell it's really important to Isiah that he is viewed as this really nice man who's a victim of unfair treatment.

Jordan said it publicly, the apology should be public. But he won't because he is a piece of garbage human being, who has gotten enabled well into old age by fanboys who think being good at basketball is pass at being a piece of garbage.
When that ENTIRE Detroit Pistons team from 87-the early 90s publically apologizes for being the dirtiest, most classless, bunch of SOBS in the history of professional sports, then maybe they can request an apology. As a diehard Boston Celtics fan, I'm certainly no fan of Michael Jordan, or the LA Lakers. But I loved it when Jordan's Bulls SWEPT the Pistons, and for the only time in my life, I rooted for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals to beat these disgusting punks. The players were despicable, their fans in the Silverdome were probably even worse than Oakland Raiders fans, and that totally obnoxious PA announcer they had back then, made people want to stick an ice pick straight through their eardrums. Let's not forget about Dennis Rodman and Isaiah Thomas, being piss poor losers to the Celtics, and both saying the Legend, Larry Bird, was overrated because he was white. Out of all the classless things that Pistons team did, that was surely the worst. Just imagine if someone said that Thomas was overrated because he was black!
Jordan’s numbers increased in the playoffs. He dominated in the 4th quarter of games. LeBron, as great as he is, famously had unproductive 4th quarters against Dallas in 2011. The following years he did play like a beast in the finals win or lose, but Jordan always seemed to come up huge when it mattered most. Making his free throws, a timely steal, clutch baskets. Even a masterful assist to Steve Kerr in 97’. He predicted exactly how the Jazz were gonna play him and told Steve to be ready for the open look.

I just find it funny how Isiah Thomas acts like the victim whenever he stirs up trouble. He did it with Magic after Magic's HIV confirmation asking if Magic was gay but then denies any wrongdoing. He did with Larry Bird when he agreed with Dennis Rodman that Bird would just be a normal player if he was black but then tried to deny it and then with Jordan he will go on Open Court and other talk shows and throw subtle jabs at Jordan and downplay what he achieved and now he acts like he is some victim. Its laughable really. With Larry Bird, when he became President of Basketball of operations for the Indiana Pacers in 2004, he promptly fired Isiah Thomas as coach because Rick Carlisle was more likable than Isiah Thonas, thats a direct quote from Isiah Thomas. With just less than a minute left in the game, on the sidelines, you can clearly see Detroit head coach Chuck Daley saying and motioning, "No, don't do it/stop."
Plus Isiah's family embraced jordan like he was one of thier own as well .
Awesome.Thanks
🎯 Preach!!

See how he throws his own teammates under the bus by exclaiming it was Bill Lambier and Rick Mahorne but not me. Why in the hell is Isiah calling out names? Talking about his former teammates and blaming them? For real? If he can't live with the blame why bring up others?
he's going to let it Ride because that's What Michael Jordan think 🤔 of you."
I commented on that video of Isiah Thomas and said when I watched The Last Dance it felt like MJ was talking about the past and how he felt during that time
With respect to Isaiah Thomas, he just couldn't accept that his Team Detroit Piston wasn't able to stop MJ and defeat Team Chicago bulls. What better to show his discontent from this was by voting in favor of LJ over MJ on who is better in the NBA.
Here in my country we acknowledge how good LJ as an all around basketball player. But when it comes to the Title "GOAT" majority of my countrymen will say "MJ" is the One who deserves it. And most of ALL the GTOAT (Greatest Team Of All Time) will be the Chicago Bulls...
I'm guessing Jordan doesn't care. Isiah, according to everything I've heard, is exactly what Jordan called him.
Nope MJ doesn't give a damn!
Thomas is the robin of perkins. Both are sports comedians!!!!
Everything in this video just solidifies the truth:. MJ=GOAT!! And it ain't even close!!!
After all these years it's really something about how we talk about all the hatred for the Pistons - the Bulls, Celtics, Knicks, and even the Lakers .. man everyone hated them
I love this content!!
THOMAS SHOWED "TOTAL" DISRESPECT....AND HE WANTS JORDAN TO APOLOGIZE.....SHEEZ
When Charles Barkley said he felt bad for Isiah and that he probably should've been on the Dream Team, that's when Michael Jordan decided to part ways with Charles. By the way, it's not right to hate anyone.
By the way, it was NOT 1990. It was 1991. 1990, Pistons beat Bulls in playoffs for 3 straight years in 7 games.
The only one that showed respect was Joe Dumars. Even when the Pistons were beating the Bulls Jordan always shake hands.
Realistically jordan is supposed to hold a national press conference to apologize? 😂😂😂
He should send Isiah a fax saying “I’ll never apologize.”
@Ron Isiah should transition into a woman since he exudes all the characteristics. Perhaps then, MJ would pity her, understand her innate insecurities, and send her a flower but never an apology. That would be sexist.
@@elituco6632 he really does right? Something wrong in that boys head.
🤣😂🤣😂😉😂 oh noo (falls over laughing)
it look like he meant it, cause he damn sure ain't apologizing!
Isiah tried to get MJ ex teammates to go against. I think isiah is tripping off. He is going grow old and bitter.
I watched this era as a kid. Charles Oakley was on All The Smoke too he said, "Don't nobody like Isiah. He sneaky. He always [saying] I didn't do it but he did it. It's on camera. You did it. Mike does not want to be your friend. I'm telling you for the 5th time...." Michael Jordan is not the only player from that era that has issues with Isiah Thomas. Mr. Thomas is trying to remain relevant by talking about Michael Jordan. At this point, it is sad because Michael Jordan never talks.
True that!
MJ is right about Isiah... MJ is wrong about Charles
..
Say asshole on nat TV is wild af mj is wrong
You see I think the problem wen it comes to MJ n Charles is no so much wht he said I think it's abt how and where he said it bcse he cud said the same thing in a more conservative way on television but say it raw to MJ's face but in all Fairness to Charles he speaks Raw abt everyone else so he gonna Jam MJ the same exact way and hey thts just Charles.
@paxonhellofoyd7275 if you listened to the video, he called him an asshole in the past tense. He didn't say he's an asshole now. And quite frankly Isiah deserves to be called an asshole for his unsportsmanlike decisions.
Maybe it’s something else to it. Maybe it was prior events that led to that. Who knows.
@paxonhellofoyd7275 you say wht you wnt until you've being put in the same spot and hey it may not be as bball player but your boss cud be sayn something to you and you cud simply say out of anger WTF do I look like an Asshole in front of other wrkrs and hey tell me if tht isn't neat the same thing.
At some stage in life....a person has to man up and say....it's time to live the rest of my life peacefully and happily!!
MJ is doing just that. Living his life with his initials of MJ alone being famous.
If I was Jordan I would tell him again
I think Jordan will just leave it like it is.
🤔😂🤣😂😂😂🤣
Everyone felt that way about Isiah. Theres a reason he wasn't on the dream team. This guy is still butt hurt over getting swept.
Swept tryin to 4peat 91 Detroit won that 88 title LA stoled it.. mike didnt even play his 4th yr he was worn out!!
Detroit was a dope team and not all the players did "dirty" things. Joe Dumars and John Salley is an example.
MJ is not your friend. Just move on Isiah lol.
He's not even Barkley friend cuz he said he's a bad gm.... which he 100% is
Yeah really, as Thomas is the one that started it by trying to injured players to win titles!
And he wants nothing to do with Isiah.
Jordan is still in the head of all his former opponents... that's how much of a GOAT he is.
Nah Bill Lambier is doing just fine. 🤔 Whereas Isiah Thomas not so much.
Because he dissed Jordan, and wouldn’t even shake his hand because of some bitter feud in 1989
I have heard plenty of past stars call out Bird as being a jerk, and A hole and many other comments, but you will never hear Bird giving any thoughts to such comments. He truly could care less. Advise to Isaiah, let it go, its just not important. MJ is who he is , far from perfect, and the same goes for Isaiah.
At some point, you have to wonder if Zeke likes to be humiliated ... otherwise, why even go there again?
🤔🤔
