@@edwardchristian9529You are either too young or misremembering. In 1992, all-NBA 1st team was Jordan, Drexler, Malone, Mullin, Robinson. They all made the Dream Team. Second team was Barkley, Ewing, Stockton, Pippen and Hardaway. Everyone made the team except Hardaway. Last three spots went to Larry and Magic (the legacy spots) and Laettner (the college spot). In case you were wondering, third team was Rodman, KJ, Mark Price, Kevin Willis and Brad Daugherty. No Zeke. Stockton led the league in assists AND steals, and was second only to Jordan that year in VORP. But you think Zeke should have got his spot???
Christian Lattner was/is the greatest college player of all time. No one knew he was going to be an average NBA player. CL destroyed all the other big men in college including Shaq.
The franchise decisions portion reminds me of when the Miami Dolphins passed on Drew Bees because of a medical concern involving his shoulder. The French Quarter is eternally grateful.
On that football note and speaking of Marino, his hometown Steelers passed on him for a defensive tackle who got in a car wreck and was paralyzed after his first year.
What i dont understand after all these years is that the bad boys literally changed the sport and i dont mean in a good way, and people are still confused about why their star player didnt get an invite to the dream team like the guys wanna be around him? Its the goofiest thing ever. They were good, but they played dirty. Isiah thomas is not innocent i dont know why ppl portray him like that. He was their leader. So it was always understandable for me to know why even if mike didnt play he was never going on that team.
In Open Court, Isiah said "a'ight" as long as it was Jordan or Magic/Bird who didn't want him on the team. "But anybody below them?" "Scottie Pippen? Come on. You can't say nothing...Go to the park."
People remember the Pistons were labeled "Bad Boys" and they confirmed that title when they lost to the Bulls and ran off the court without shaking their hands. I remember the embarrassment on the Bulls faces, especially Jordan's. But we all know Karma eventually shows up. Isaiah was worried when the team was being assembled and reached out to Magic who sadly confessed the selection process was out of his hands, leaving Isaiah feeling some resentment towards Magic. The last thing the team needed was negative energy between Isaiah and Michael. In the early stages when he was approached, Michael asked who was on the team, and after Magic and Larry agreed he said I'm in, as long as Isaiah was not!!!!! I think Isaiah's elimination from the Dream Team haunts him even today. Lesson learned, be nice and always professional 😊
I highly doubt he still cares about this 30 yrs later. The way he played is what made him one of the most iconic players of that era of basketball. he cemented his legacy into the sport, why would he have regrets ? bcuz a few players and Michael Jordan fans don’t like him? 🤷🏽♀️ plus he was “nice and professional” off the court, on the court, there are no friends or allies.
Look, I'm 50 years old and I remember at the time when the selection went down, I always wondered why the f*** Isiah Thomas and Dominique Wilkins weren't on the team. Period. Got that off my chest.
Isaiah didn't make the team because they didn't need a third point guard. They already had Magic and Stockton. Also, marketing - the entire point was to bring the beauty of NBA basketball to the world. Isaiah's Pisstons played thugball and the world already had rugby.

The dream team didn't need Stockton. The point is it was supposed to be the top 11 and the college player of the year. Because Zeek and Shaq should have been on the dream team
@@edwardchristian9529 You are a kid..nobody at that time said SHAQ was above LAETNER or THOMAS above STOCKTON...
He was the second best pg behind magic, Isiah better than Stockton by FARRRRRRRRRRRRR
Dream Team did way better without bitter Thomas😂 Chuck is a Jewel. 👏👍
That’s 90s power forward towering over a tight end, Chuck was a beast!!
Shannon already know what happened, he being petty 😂😂😂
Exactly
The pistons were cheating
Christian Lattner is the guy that probably shouldn't have been on the team
They wanted some college players represented at the time
Christian Lattner was/is the greatest college player of all time. No one knew he was going to be an average NBA player. CL destroyed all the other big men in college including Shaq.
Lattner was great in college but he wasn’t greater than Kareem. Not in stats nor in championships.
Moral of the story is- Don't burn bridges with those more powerful than you.
No. Moral of the story is forgiveness.
Moral of the story is don't be a dirty player and expect people to do right by you
@ryandavis8658 Isaiah Thomas has had this problem for over 20+ years. 🤔
Exactly. You can't get mad if people don't like you.
Love this vibe!!
Jordan was all in or all out, he had that power.
And people complain about the power that LeBron has. All Super Stars have a certain degree of power.
It wasnt just Michael who didnt want him there
Even Malone and magic didn't want isiah in barcelona Olympic
I hope they find away to bury the hatchet, life’s to short.
Mike already did bury it, right in Isiah's punk a*s, where it belongs.

He didn’t deserve to be on the Dream Team he paid the price for playing dirty the Right Dream Team was Perfect

Thanks Shay Shay. Just joined the club.
In Open Court, Isiah said "a'ight" as long as it was Jordan or Magic/Bird who didn't want him on the team.
"But anybody below them?"
"Scottie Pippen?
F Micheal Jordan, bad boys for life ! Best pure point guard
Also Shaq instead of Christian Leittner
Who you gonna leave off for Thomas and Neke?
Pippen took Wilkins spot since Wilkins was injured that year
Isiah has always been a lil beeaaachhh. He’s the guy that smiles at you and then when you turn your back you realize you have a knife in your back!
Shannon with the drama 😂😂😂😂
That is crazy how he related Dirk's trade to the Currys and jokers.
He did that right out of the big blue Sky 😂
Thomas is always playing the victim. He got what he deserved
Did Jordan get what he deserve❓
another good one
Isaiah didn't make the team because they didn't need a third point guard. They already had Magic and Stockton. Also, marketing - the entire point was to bring the beauty of NBA basketball to the world. Isaiah's Pisstons played thugball and the world already had rugby.
“And I says” - Chuck
Shannon ask this same question all the time to try and smear Mikes image but the truth is Magic, Bird and Jordan had issues with Isiah.
Like how he dodged that 😂
1:50 he’s so humble
The Michael Jordan effect was REAL
They had and still have beef, but lets be honest, if Jordan says
"Him or me, pick one"
Aint NOBODY not even Pistons fans picking Isiah 😂
BS! Pistons fans still want Isiah and I bet Jordan would have still played. Someone hire up made sure to quote Jordan saying that and spread propaganda. Jordan said it himself and Isiah acknowledged it. Funny how both Jordan and Isiah stated in the Last Dance Doc and y'all still disregard that fact.
Something nobody seems to raise, but on a team with ball-dominant elite scorers, did they really need another ball-dominant scorer at point?
Or was the best floor general and distributor in the NBA at the time a better fit for the team?
Poor little Isiah. He should have thought about that during those series where him and his henchmen were playing so Dirty vs The Bulls.

Charles saying that Isiah was better than Stockton? In 1992???? Time to think again, Charles.
He's right - Stockton would agree - and every NBA player from that era would.
Jordan hates Thomas but he puts him ahead of Stockton.
@@ngc-fo5te Not in 1992. It was one of Stockton’s best years. Probably better than any single season by Zeke
Exactly. By the end of ‘92 Isaiah was washed up, just a year and a half away from retirement, couldn’t even get his team in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Stockton was still in his prime setting records. It is what it is.
@@longbeach7623 Bird was utterly washed up too - far more than Thomas was - his back meant he didn't play much.
@@ngc-fo5te Correct. Magic and especially Bird were past their primes but they got “legacy spots” because they saved the league. Thomas didn’t do that, and wasn’t a star on their level. If anything, the Bad Boy Pistons represent the low point of garbage ball, with hacking and grabbing making it impossible for skilled players. It was the same in hockey.
I dont blame Jordan, Thomas was a sore loser and behaved like a creep
Dude Isiah was hated by everyone. Didn’t shake hands with Jordan, made comments about Magic having HIV, sided with Rodman on his Larry Bird comments, Pippen most likely hated him, I’m sure Stockton and Malone hated him since Malone opened up Isiah’s head with his elbow, so that’s most of the Dream Team that we KNOW of. Not to mention that I’m sure the league/David Stern hated them, and did not want any member of that team (outside of the coach) to be an “American ambassador of the game.” The Bad Boy 30 for 30 even shows how they felt like they were the villains, yet everyone wants to sit around now and wonder how Isiah didn’t get to play with 11 other NBA players whom he competed against.
It’s really not that hard to figure out.
STOP THE NONSENSE!
Isiah Thomas was kept off the Dream Team by Isiah Thomas. His coach, Chuck Daly, didn't go to bat for him. He was not well-liked around the league and didn't even make any All-NBA teams AFTER 1987 - that's including the years when he won consecutive titles with a Finals MVP!!
Are y'all going to blame Jordan for that too?

At that point in time Thomas was a winner. Jordan a selfish shooter, one man team.Thomas deserved to be on that team.Hated or not. Daley knew he could not have thomas with the 3 cry babies running the show. By that time bird was done, he should have kept his month shut.

Everyone on that dream team hated Isiah. Jordan is the only one who is vocal about it.
Jordan was the one they asked about it.
Isiah did that to himself by walking off that floor before the game was over in the Eastern Conference finals! Pistons got swept by the Bulls and he acted like a 3 year old!
Like most people, you failed to mention the reason they walked off.
That wasn why he was not on the team!
Isiah had a habit of insulting people (with a big smile on his face) - including Jordan, Magic, and Bird. Isiah was the leader of the team that made the dirtiest plays in the history of the NBA. Laimbeer, Mahorn, & Rodman were enforcers, but Isiah approved everything they did. Chuck Daly was not dumb! He knew that the Pistons had made a lot of enemies; if he expected unity on the team, it had to be without Isiah....Besides, they didn't need another scorer/one on one player. Stockton, the leader in assists and steals, was a better fit.
