  • The division at court was ever-growing with Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen playing the game of thrones intent on gaining power and the affection of King Viserys. Meanwhile, Daemon Targaryen and the Sea Snake were busy in the stepstones building their own petty kingdom. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on Geroge R R Martins A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.

The funny thing is later on Damien line is actually like the second makar. They become the Blackfyre line but had makar lived if he had sons with the “black wife’s” still alive or having more sons then by the time the dance of the dragon happens they could of had a side branch called house Black. Aegon as house green towers

Here’s my theory: Viserys probably hoped that any children of Rhaenyra would marry the children of Allistan. Would’ve worked… debatable.

If Viserys made Jacaerys and Helaena wed (or betrothe Aemond and Daeron to Daemon's daughters), the Dance probably wouldn't have happened!

@@Crash_Bash_4ever she would have been a lot more hesitant to kove against the blacks if her only daughter was married to them. I prefer the greens but I think Viserys was just a horrible king who could have prevented the dance of dragons like 15 different times. Then I'm supposed to feel bad for him at the final dinner. This whole war is a cause of his own weakness

True, I agree. I don't think Viserys was a good father at all. I understand Alicent not wanting her daughter to be married to bastards though.

One of the islands of the Stepstones is called bloodstone. Is there any connection between the island and the bloodstone emperor "the one that heralded the long night when he killed his sister, the amythist empress, and took a tiger woman as his wife"?

02:02 i see all fan arts of Corlys having Valyrian features which means collectively fans agree on what he looked like. I think the actor they picked was good at his work but WHY would you forced diversity into a for all intents and purposes racist family. This was a time when blood purity and lineage supersedes everything. SMH

In my view it is very clear in fire and blood that house velaryon were valyrian in the same way the Targaryens are, hence the out cry when the casting was announced. Now i have seen the actor in other stuff and he is great, But of all the houses they could have picked this one is the most questionable. For me i can look past it, but i don't like the fact people are unwilling to address the deeper lore implications when it comes to Aegon The Conqueror, his sisters, and King Jaehaerys, all of whom had Velaryon mothers. It's not a minor change people like to pretend it is but has far reaching impact on Targaryen Lore. But i do like the actor and think he can pull it off. As much as i adore the lore of the world i'm still happy to see where the show goes with it

Apparently HBO got the term Black as in color factions confused with race.
