You missed Ben's "Han" body language. The shrug when he got the lightsaber was a mirror of Han shrugging on Endor. He shot someone without looking and carried the gun like Han. Just a few things I liked - he really studied Harrison I think!
I love that Adam Driver as soon as his character becomes Ben Solo he immediately adopts more of Han Solos (Harrison Ford)mannerisms, like taking a shot without glancing down to the way he stands. Ben solo was so amazing. We only got a few minutes but they were amazing. I love how Ben is a combination of Han, luke and anakin. He shoots the guard without looking just like Han Solo. The shrug when he gets anakins lightsaber is also Han like. He uses anakins lightsaber but uses Luke’s teachings to destroy the knights of ren. Easily my favorite character from the sequels, and one of my favorite characters from Star Wars.
Fully agree. If not Anakin then Ben. I’d get leaving out Anakin as Rey only knows him from the “be with me” scene, but Ben should have at least been there
Sgt that was maybe the best part of this movie for me. Having him do that Han Solo shrug, actually showing the attitude and rogue-ishness of his father was excellent. But it also made me sad that the trilogy was such a mess. We never really got a developed Ben thanks to Last Jedi’s insistence on killing Snoke while simultaneously refusing to talk about how exactly they met, how Ben was tempted, what drove him to do what he did (Luke says his mistake came AFTER Ben was influenced by Snoke, so it wasn’t just that) etc. Adam Driver did his best, but it could have been so much more. What a disaster.
I loved that because that isn’t something I could ever see “Kylo Ren” doing. That was all Ben. To me, that was the confirmation that Han Solo was right. “Kylo Ren is dead. My son, is alive.”

@@TheKyleMark He was the chosen one, as the prophecy foretold, a child born form the lifeforce of the cosmic force. Anakin struck Palpatine down. However Disney shat on that story and broke the lore.
The audience when I went was extremely vocal during the film, so loud, audible gasps and "noooo" could be heard. I was too stunned to do anything but gasp at first when the transport ship exploded. A few tears did fall, but the minute Chewy was shown to be alive on the ship, the audience burst into applause and cheers. In that moment, for every force wielding stableboy, there was also a force wielding plumber. Come time for the fates and the furies to do battle, the fates' numbers will be significant.
That whole Canto Bight/Slave scene was Ruin Johnson's setup for his (thankfully now dead) trilogy.
brandt troup exactly! And in a way, JJ continues it by clearly making Finn force sensitive, but not to the point where he could be a Jedi
It's an 8/10 for me. I really enjoyed this film. The force bond between Rey and Ben reminded me of kreia and the exile. Made me giddy
Get lost flat-earther.
18:56 after ben throws his lightsaber...
GREVIOUS COMES OUT OF NOWHERE AND JUMPS INTO THE SEA
😂
I got goosebumps at the end when all the ships showed up for reinforcements
Planet Funhouse it was basically Star Wars’ edition of Avengers Endgame Portal Scene
I did to!!!!
I know, it was a very close "Assemble" moment.
Planet Funhouse
It was a dumb deus ex machina scene
Red alert If it’s good enough for Medea...?🤷🏻♂️
Maybe I’m not the norm, but I really loved this movie.
Same
Me too
Me as well.
Same here
I see no fault in admitting so....though I did not.
Not only does Palpatine look like a Deadite, he swallows their souls.
Not their souls there force life energy to heal his decaying body
Mortal Kombat!! your soul is mine
DEMENTOR
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Shop smart. Shop S Mart.
Favorite moment: Finn telling Rose to just go already.
Lol right. "Rose... Go... Seriously just go."
Something I'm surprised you guys didn't mention was that Kylo Ren's scar is healed when Rey force heals him it reflects how Kylo Ren is truly dead after that scene and how Ben Solo is reborn
I didnt even realize! Good point
Best moment from the movie: Every scene with Ian McDiarmid
Omg I am a subscriber
Ok
Anyone else feel like Rey was going to say, “And I ... am Ironman”?
Yea lol
I whispered that to myself lol
LOL
Said it a little bit too loud and make the 3 rows behind me burst out in laughter
RedHead same lol
Not necessarily my favourite bit but a couple of bits I loved were when the storm trooper said “goals” about seeing the ‘Knights Of Ren’ and the look and pose that Ben Solo gave to the ‘Knights Of Ren’ after he revived the lightsaber from Rey.
Ghouls*
Lats p *Goals
You forgot to mention how Anakin says to balance the force as he once did.
No, Rey, don't balance the force the way Anakin did it. Just don't.
The force was never balanced. They ruined Anakin’s character.
Snow Fox He was never a good character to begin with
Snow Fox Anakin was never the chosen one.
It’s completely bonkers to have watched Star Wars and think he was.
@@TheKyleMark He was the chosen one, as the prophecy foretold, a child born form the lifeforce of the cosmic force. Anakin struck Palpatine down. However Disney shat on that story and broke the lore.
Funny moment: When Poe got rejected by Zorii Bliss at the end
Max Tranquilo actual good humor with subtlety! Not a “your mom” joke to be found, Rian Johnson....
Everyone else had a heart attack when chewie supposedly died?
Yeah i was crying
I was shook
Someone was full blown sobbing when I went to see it in the theater.
Having that vocal audience definitely made this so much more fun than if they all were stoic and silent.
I didn't feel anything because it was in the first third of the movie and chewie is too beloved to die like that at that time. My sister asked me "did Disney really killed chewie right now?" I responded"no"
One thing I noticed about the lightsaber is the fact that the yellow crystal was used by both Light and Dark side, symbolising that the force was in balance.
The planet where Kylo discovered the wayfinder was a healing Mustafar, according to the Visual Dictionary.
dont suppose you have a link to that?
@@jordanthomas2490 I can confirm the planet is Mustafar, page 42 of the Visual Dictionary. Don't have a link sorry, just a copy of the book.
@@SquirmyMalo it was Mustafar?
wow
Healing?
This movie was so on point it literally made the last jedi a better film it all fits better now in my opinion
In your opinion lol 😂
I agree
I wonder what baby Yoda was doing during this movie
Probably sleeping
Continuing to make one-eyed frogs go extinct by eating them
not being a baby anymore.
Well for starters, it’s not baby Yoda, his name is Yaddle and they’ve not even identified the race after 42 years so... it might take a while for that to sink in.
@@memosamurai Yaddle was the female "Yoda" on the Jedi council, what makes you say the child is also called Yaddle?
Favorite moment? Its gotta be when sidious uses force lightning on all the resistance fleet. It's just so e p i c
Many critics don't realise the nostalgia this one movie has revealed.
they definitely realize that nostalgia was all the movie had but they don’t let it consume them into thinking it was a good movie.
jy1 ch3n so true.
jy1 ch3n i think that was part of the problem
i wished they put anakin or vader here as like seen as a force ghost to talk to rey. i also wished they put more screen time for lando.
Like maybe the reactions when Lando finds out the death of both Leia and Han
amen
Anakin had never been trained to do the force ghost thing I guess.
mindyschocolate but he shows up though at the end of return of the Jedi
I really thought vader would appear one last time perhaps in front of the emperor or something
merry christmas to you randon citizen
Merry Christmas to both of you.

Don't tell me what to do.
Every Ben solo moment was amazing! I loved it when he threw his old lightsaber as well as when Rey and Ben kissed.
Reylo kiss was my favorite moment for sure. I loved the movie and so so many things in it, but I've been cheering for Reylo since TFA. And seeing Ben Solo smile. Local Kylo Ren stan was very happy.
Lmao, everyone in my theater went crazy
reylo was the worst part of the movie. kylo is a mass murderer. rey should've been with finn
I was audibly saying “Don’t do it” over and over again in the theater
Currently Nerdy I mean to each their own on their ships but if Anakin Skywalker can be redeemed then Kylo Ren can also be redeemed
Maddie rip
I always thought it would be revealed that Rey's father was an Ewok.
wtf
Looool
I thought it would be a bantha
Fav moment most def when luke lifts the x-wing and smiles. Brought me tears
J.J. Abrams: I need a home planet for the sith
Exegol: Hold My drink allow me to introduce myself
JJ Abrams Perfection
Koriban am I a joke to you
I actually enjoyed this movie. It was the bestest they could do for the end of the saga.
Lewis 347 me too I loved it
I AGREE, THIS ONE MAKES ME WANNA WATCH ALL THE OTHERS. I don't understand why most people don't like it
Agreed! My favorite star wars movie now!
bestest is not a word
Palpatine’s force siphoning was actually a power exclusive to Darth Nihilus until now!
Didn't the exile have it too? Unless that's if you play dark side, which in that case isn't canon.
It probably still is. Palpatine can use all the powers of all the Sith since they all live in him now
ye he just realises that Kylo and Rey are a dyad in the force and their special force connection causes a tear in the force in which he is able to bring life from
noo viate had it too, actually viatate's version is closer to palapatines
And was a Force power that Palpatine has in the Rebooted Battlefront games
They had a good Easter egg for those of us who sat through the two made-for-TV Ewok movies. The chunks of the Death Star 2 fell in the Dragon's Spine mountain range on the moon of Endor, making a large crater and destroying Terak's Keep. The hilly approach to the DS2 crater is identical to the hilly approach to that fortress we saw in Battle of Endor.
plot twist: luke’s and leia’s force ghost at the end is jar jar binks
Brandon Escobar omg I miss my boy jar jar
