  • I have done a bunch of videos about the DJI Mavic Air 2. Most of my videos are about using Active Track. I use this feature a lot for hiking and mountain bike videos. As this series of videos had progressed, I have been asked a bunch of different questions about this drone.
    In this video, I will try to answer some of those questions, and show you how to setup and start your very own Active Track video. I will also be testing the drone to see what happens when the drone loses connection to the remote.
    This is usually a big concern for some people. Make sure you follow all of the settings I show in the video. Always check your surroundings, and be mindful of other people. Also be sure to follow your federal and local drone laws.
    Check out the table of contents below, so you can fast forward to amy section you would like.

    A very In Depth coverage of all of the features about Active Track Mode. It was very informative and I now have a bit more concept about how Active Track works. I have the MA2 as well, now I also will get testing this feature, thanks to you . Appreciate it and I will certainly watch your other videos on the MA2... Keep up the good work.

    Great in depth video, without annoying (bad choice of) music, without annoying fashion words (like, to be honest, literally, basically...). Well detailed, well explained, interesting and with great shots of the phone screen.

    I just got my first drone - the Mavic Air 2. So far, I've been thrilled with how easy it is to operate. I appreciate your walk-thru's of the menus. So many videos are long winded with vague explanations. I've sat through dozens of them without really learning anything except the maker's life story. Thanks!

    This is one of the best instructional videos for my new Mavic Air 2S that I've come across yet. Most of the others go so fast and leave a lot of detail out assuming we all know what they are talking about. I appreciate you going slowly when explaining things and have arrows pointing to what you are referring to. I've subscribed and liked this video and look forward to checking out your other videos.

    Extremely well done and very professional! You explain what your doing while doing it showing the Fly app screen and the Drone live response. I just got my drone and already learned one lesson the hard way. After a couple successful quick shots my attempt Helix expanded until it hit a tree. It’s really important for a newbie to learn the capabilities and limitations of Active Track and Obstacle Avoidance. I plan to use my Mavic Air 2 to capture videos while hiking and biking to waterfalls and view points in beautiful North Carolina. Thanks again!

    Just got into the drone world after years of flying model airplanes. Your video is absolutely the best tutorial I've seen. I'm in OC also and I practice at El Dorado. Question, when locking on in active track to a car you mentioned to be 10 to 20 feet from the subject. After locking on can I raise the drone to 50 feet and still stayed locked on and have it follow the car?

    Thanks for the very helpful video. I'm a total newbie to this so this type of tutorial is spot on.
    My question about trace tracking is:
    If you activate it with the drone at a low altitude like 10 feet above you, will it stay at that altitude as it tracks you? I want to have it track me through a wooded disc golf course. There is room above me along the fairways but the tree canopy starts at about 25 feet.
    Any advice on this will be much appreciated!

    • @uosocal

    • @uosocal
      @uosocal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the hardest thing will be keeping the remote dry. Unless someone else is controlling the drone, you will have to keep the remote and phone dry while you record. Then it depends on how fast you will be going. In Normal mode( sensors on) under 16mph, active track Trace. Between 16-25mph parallel. Anything over that, you will have to use sport mode( no sensors). If the drone icon is a walking person after you lock on, then it may max out below 25mph.

      @@uosocal Thank you for your thoughts. I imagined keeping the remote on land, ideally controlled by a person.

      @@larssol1 that would probably be best. Then they could use spotlight in sport mode. They can fly the drone all around and keep you centered.
