😳😍😳😍😳😍😳😍😳😍😳😍 obviously this chapelle exist- this is surrea! To visit and look around with open mouth the entire time, will be very appropriate. No other option. Every corner is Magestic !!! It's insane, really. Thank you Anton & Sinan. Fantastic episode 👍🏻✨️🇫🇷
It’s one of the most beautiful chapels we have ever seen and been to. And to think that la Galerie des Glaces (the Hall of Mirrors) cost less than a half of what this chapel cost is absolutely mind blowing! And people come to see la Galerie, but just rush by the chapel without realizing the beauty that’s hidden within. Just incredible!
@@AntonandSinan I can't believe that someone can rush through this chapelle. It's completely hypnotic!! I Love it! Thank you very much for showing this beauty guys 🤍👋👍🏻
@@AntonandSinan "...but just rush by the chapel without realizing the beauty that’s hidden within" This is because the vast majority of people who come to Versailles are not really interested in architecture, and for that matter, in history either. For most of them, Versailles is just a place where they come to take a few selfies and leave. Moreover, the completely insane number of visitors is today a very serious problem for the preservation of the site.
What an excellent video! French spelling seems impossible, I think the architect was Jules Hardouin-Mansart? Regarding women singing the high (Soprano) parts, churches usually used boys; in opera, they used castrati, which is barbaric. Can you do something about Notre Dame de Paris?
Thank you! Yes, you got it right, it was him, we mention him several times in the video. However, the chapel was completed by his brother in law Robert de Cotte, because Hardouin-Mansart died before it was completed. Btw if you are watching the video with subtitles, the spelling of names might be incorrect as they are automatically generated by TH-cam. Notre-Dame de Paris should reopen in December this year, so yes, definitely on our list.

to imagine designing and constructing these architectural monuments is mind boggling. Merci.
Especially considering the fact that technology we have today did not exist back then! Those people had immense talent.
