Two guys discovering France region by region!
We met in Istanbul over a decade ago, lived together for a few years in Dubai and now are building our life in the Paris region.
We happen to have completely fallen in love with France and are on a journey to discover this amazing country and, in the process, share our story with the world.
We normally create travel videos as well as vlog content, with occasional bits on culture shocks, as well as interesting social and lifestyle experiences.
We invite you to SUBSCRIBE to our channel and join us on a journey across France!

Merry Christmas to you and Bob from us! We wish you amazing holidays ahead!
Just found your channel, watched the old carte vitle video still waiting for my card thats another story, This video is so informative . I went to Place of Versailles but as part of a busy tour group about 5 years ago, Thank you for all the commenerty
Welcome to the channel! Goodness, we hope your card comes through soon and it hasn't been too long for you! We are glad you enjoyed this video! We've done a full series on Versailles (well, we still have more episodes coming up actually as we are not done yet) and so far we have gone into more private parts of the domain. If you are interested in learning and seeing places that are not accessible on a regular ticket, you are welcome to have a look at the Versailles playlist here: th-cam.com/play/PLeDfMZP9gd65mmHWabL6_FzjO3Yo8s9VC.html More to come!
@@AntonandSinan wow what a fantastic reply . Been waiting for 2 years for the card
oh, 2 years... That's a long time. Hopefully you will get it soon!
Thanks for the tour.
You are welcome!
Hello, hello (Serge here, as usual !). This video is perhaps the best of all the ones you've made in Versailles. It's fascinating, the night-time images are both impressive and gloriously ghostly, and your comments are not only relevant, but also full of emotion - you can tell that you've both enjoyed this visit immensely. Thanks to my work, I've had the opportunity to visit a lot of historic sites outside public opening hours, and there's no denying that when you find yourself alone, or almost alone, in these immense monuments, you suddenly find yourself face to face, personally, with history and the people who lived there, and it's downright magical. 🙂
Salut Serge, thank you very much, that's definitely how we felt! Being to such places when you are almost alone is a whole other experience. It's how you described, face to face with history. We loved it! We hope to be able to do more of such things in the near future for the channel.
Thank you for taking the time to video the ornamental door knobs and other such objects. I really appreciate these small details. They are beautiful, still, to this day. I often wonder who made them? Who thought of the design? Small detail make for a beautiful home.
It depends on the project, but le Hameau de la Reine was initially done by Richard Mique. However, there is a small chance that some details were done/adjusted during multiple renovations, although usually they try to keep the stuff identical to the original. Except for the furniture here, as it was impossible to collect all that was there prior to Revolution. What you see here is furniture of the time of Marie-Louise (early XIX century). And we def agree with you on small details making for a beautiful home.
This is the second video, of yours, I have viewed. You now have a new SUBSCRIBER! Thank you for taking the time to go, video and explain what we are looking at. Now, on to more of your videos.
Welcome to the channel! ✨
This was so incredible! I had no idea Chateau de Versailles offered night visits. I visited Versailles in the early 90's. It has to be even more beautiful now with all of the renovations done. This was a very special experience. Thank you.
You are absolutely welcome! We are glad you enjoyed this. The renovations are still ongoing in some rooms, but, indeed, a lot are done and it feels almost complete!
This is actually beautiful! I didn't have enough time to visit Versailles that one time I was visiting Paris :(
Now you’ve got a good reason to come back! 😉
Another wonderful video! Thanks guys!
Merci! 😊
This has been so beautiful!
Beautiful! ❤ thank you for this lovely video
You are welcome! We are you liked it!
Salut Anton & Sinan! Wow! Intimate and mesmerising!! No doubt it's an experience like no other. I totally love it. The mysterious vibe and the views at night. Glory in it's full power. I bet it was super special feeling. Exclusive. The horse is never just an animal to me. May I ask for the music that starts at 6:26? Please. If it's not too much to ask for. It's very dark, mysterious and hauntingly beautiful. Had no idea such night visits were organised. Truly one of a kind. Thank you for sharing. It's different and gorgeous! Love 😍👍🏻💫
Salut! Yes, we didn't expect such visits to exist as well, but apparently they do, albeit they are very rare. It felt totally different to what you'd normally feel when visiting the place. The vibe kind of reminded us of Château de Fontainebleau on a weekday in winter, it gets almost as quiet and dark. To us, it's magical, because you really get to feel the place how it may have been when in use as a château and not a museum. For the music, not an issue, it's Hungarian Charade by Magnus Ludvigsson. 😊
@AntonandSinan 🙏🏻❤️🪄

A few of very special episodes are coming up! ☺️ Happy Holidays to you too!
Despite being grey out it is so beautiful!
We totally agree
Hello, hello ! I've always liked Moreau's paintings, there's something fascinating, quite bizarre, even a little disturbing at times. It's always reminded me of a strange mix between William Blake and Aubrey Beardsley, something like that. It's a good idea to present his museum in this video, because not many people know about it. 🙂
They can be disturbing and even unnerving in places. The museum itself is such a gem. More people should know about it. We hope to go back there again once they reopen the apartments. No idea why they were closed that day.
😊 absolutely love your videos. Elaine South Africa
Thank you so much! It's our pleasure and we are glad you enjoy them ☺️. More to come!
As I have said before, I always learn so much from you two! Thank you! ❤

Interesting video
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Oh yes, yes, yes! I love this building, and I know it very well (I've taken part in several meetings and discussions in the large amphitheatre). I'm rather sceptical about certain aspects of Perret's work in Le Havre, but the Palais d'Iéna, on the other hand, is an extremely interesting expression of the way in which Perret developed architecture. As Anton so aptly puts it, it's a new reading of ancient architectural traditions (and even of Antiquity, with those famous columns inspired by Minoan columns), revisited through the use of splendid concrete. I'm glad you liked it. :-)
Salut, Anton here. I am so glad you liked this episode. I particularly liked how the columns were indoors and also outdoors as if wrapping the inner structure into a protective shield. And, of course, the fact that the building eliminates the huge terrain difference with such ease is remarkable to me. It's a great example of exceptional architecture.
🤩 Salut Anton & Sinan! Love it! It's very elegant there.Amphitheatre- Wow 😍 Gorgeous. The stairs too. And the rooftop views seem lovely. Overall really interesting to see. Unexpected. Too short, guys 🥴 Moooooore, svp 🙃👍🏻💫
Salut! So glad you enjoyed this visit! It is a beautiful place indeed. More to come 😂
you started vlogging wht a surprise
The best is yet to come
Check out the previous episode from Journées du Patrimoine 2024: th-cam.com/video/3K03n3gcDNg/w-d-xo.html
Very interesting and original, once again ! I didn't know this place at all. This sort of protective aquatic barrier is really an incredible architectural idea, I'd never seen anything like it ! And if you want to visit another unusual place, you should go and explore the remarkable Musée d'Histoire de la médecine, if you haven't already done so, the ancient collections are really fascinating (even if some of the artefacts are not for the faint-hearted !). 🙂
We’ve never been there! Sounds great. Thank you for the tip!
@@AntonandSinan Among other historical objects, this is where you can see the famous special instrument used to operate on Louis XIV's fistula !
Ok we are going! That alone is a good reason to go! 😂😂😂
Hello, hello ! You really do love Versailles so much that I wouldn't be surprised if one day you decided to go and live permanently in a wing of the château ! 🙂
It’s a dream 🤣
that's so creepy but so fascinating. Always feel like buildings can hold on to energy.
Even the gardens here felt like they had some energy about them that was a bit strange.
@@AntonandSinan We were house hunting and went to see a house built in the 1800s, most of the house felt fine, until we went to the new addition part of the house and even our realtor was like this area feels odd. I was like nope, loved this place until this part of the house, something happened and its not nice.
@AnnaTravels Strangely enough it was the new addition and not the older part of the house, huh? We totally believe in this stuff. You can sometimes really feel unexplainable energy. We hope you found a perfect house!
Salut Guys! Love it! I don't mind that it isn't sunny. It's so beautiful. Well...great design. Thanks God for the restoration! Fantastic work. A must visit. Merci beaucoup! So interesting again👍🇫🇷 🤍
Honestly it was such a surprise to see all the interiors! We didn’t even know we’d go inside prior to getting there. It’s just an incredible work done by them.
@AntonandSinan Great surprise and lucky visit. Really special part. And the gardens are so beautiful as usual. Happy for you and for me,to see it in your episode! 💫
And we are happy you enjoyed it 😊 More interesting stuff to come ✨
I wish I had been able to see the interiors when I visited. Thank you for the tour.
You are welcome 😊 if you decide to visit it again in the future, you can see the interiors with a guided tour provided by Versailles themselves. The tour can be booked directly via their website. We’d advise to check the dates in advance as they are not always available and are limited in the amount of people they can accommodate.

Salut Anton & Sinan! 🤑🤑 Isn't it great that place?! Super interesting to see how it was and where people kept their money. So what kind of machines you were most impressed with? Very funny about your own money. So Sinan is competitive, no? It's amazing how wherever you go ,all the places are always stunning. Never ending source of beauty and elegance. It was great to see it. I wish it was longer. It's never enough to me- your videos. Btw.,what is exactly the track name from the beg.of the video? If you don't mind of course. I saw the source otherwise. Thank you guys for showing again something super interesting. Awaiting already the next one! 👍💫🇫🇷 Stay well. Au revoir!
Salut! We are so glad you enjoyed this episode! We were most impressed by the whole structure of the underground vault room. It was just so impressive. And of course, some coins were super-previous, especially the ones dating to Louis IX and last 3 kings of the Ancién Regime. Sinan is definitely competitive, as long as he is winning 🤣 The track name is "Paragons of Virtue" by Jo Wandrini.

Thank you so much guys for this great vidéo with such beautiful images !! I'm so glad that you came back to Versailles and Trianon to treat this special and so fascinating subject of paranormal phenomena at this amazing place. Quite a long time ago, when I was working there, one of my beloved colleague ( not Olga 😉😂 ) gave me the key of the Marie-Antoinette " grotte ". Me and two of my closest friends got there one night at summer around 2 am . I started to explain at them exactly like you did in your video about this famous last day , the 5 september 1789, the queen had spent in her " grotte " . After about 20 minutes the three of us started feeling weird . The atmosphere changed and we felt like we were watched with the strong impression that someone was about to get in. La panique fut soudaine et effroyable and without to try to understand anything we went ouside by the top entrance ( la grotte a deux entrées, une en bas, l'autre en haut...à peu près là où vous vous étiez perdus sur la vidéo ). After I closed with precaution the gate we ran as far as we could🤣...Thank you Anton and Sinan to also show the Olga book coming out this month. I can't wait to discover and read this one. Olga and also Pierrette were two famous ladys working a while ago in Versailles and at the Marie-Antoinette estates. They both were very very much aware about history and paranormal😉 ....Gros bisous à vous deux...🥰😘😘
Thank you so much! We are glad you enjoyed this video! And honestly, you and your friends were brave to go there at night! We doubt we’d have the guts to, although staying overnight inside any of the three chateaux would be AMAZING! 😂😂 well, at least one of us thinks so 🫣 and we also look forward to Olga’s book, it seems that it will be very interesting!
This is a very original episode! And I didn't know this story. In the decades I've spent visiting and studying hundreds of historic sites, I've also found myself in places charged with strange forces. I've often thought that there is a kind of ‘memory of stones and places’, and it's not impossible that certain things escape our understanding. Nature is very complex. Here in Normandy, one of the most haunted sites is Mortemer Abbey, which dates back to the 12th century and is about 30 km from Rouen. The monks (some of whom had gone mad) were horribly massacred during the Revolution, and their ghosts are still often seen in the ruins today. There are also visions of a strange lady dressed in white who wanders around in the twilight mist, moaning and sobbing. Stay at home and lock your door ! 🙂
And we have never heard of the story about the Abbey and it looks like an interesting place to visit! On our list it goes! You know, there has to be something in some places where you just feel it. It's difficult to explain it, as it's mostly the heavy feeling that you get when you are there. We felt deep sadness in some places, it's as if the place is left unresolved. Conciergerie and Basilique de Saint-Denis come to mind as well as the top of the cliffs in Fécamp to the east of the port. You just feel something unexplainable there.
👻👻👻 We are respecting you,M.A. Sorry for disturbing you 😁😆 Well....I am glad you didn't see anything abnormal. Anyone will freak out I believe. However, interesting story, guys. Who knows....some things better remain a mistery forever. Some of your comments were very entertaining. You made me laugh sincerely. Creepy but somehow fun episode. Don't go there again,it's not your vibe 🙃😅 Thank you for sharing and till next time in a more pleasant place 👍🏻🤍👻
It was a mystery to us mainly due to the experience we had ourselves in July when we got lost. We just felt strange like we were not welcome there and then we came across the story of these two women and absolutely had to do an episode on that! 😂 otherwise yes, we are usually different 😂😂😂
@AntonandSinan I understand you. It has to be experienced. At least once. I enjoy watching such stuff. Just saying, that if something feels quite uncomfortable, perhaps it's better to be avoided. But you ever decide to go to another similar place,I will watch with pleasure again. 😃
Interesting. Did you think of buying a compass and a map? It can save your life.
😂😂😂😂😂 cheeky
@@AntonandSinan I guess it's not like getting lost in Canada. I have gotten lost and my map and compas came in handy. One hiker here got lost for five weeks, believe it or not.

As always, it's very interesting. It's one of the places in Paris I've never visited myself. I'm a bit surprised they let you film inside. And on the subject of money, have you ever visited the Monnaie de Paris (quai de Conti) ? The building is splendid and the tour of the collections and workshops (by prior arrangement, online bookings) is fascinating. It's the only coin and medal workshop still in continuous operation since it was founded in ....804 ! 🙂
We haven’t been there yet, but it’s on our list! The list that just keeps on getting longer and longer 😂 And about the place, it was during les journées du patrimoine, so a lot of people were there with cameras. We were far from the only ones. If you get a chance to visit l’hôtel de Toulouse, we highly recommend it. It’s even more beautiful in person!
Were you tempted to pull a Mission Impossible in the Bank of France?
😂😂😂 no, but we did wonder how the gold is kept

Salut guys! How interesting again!! This place is fantastic. Used every day those rooms and they look spotless. It's sooo beautiful and impressive. Thank you for sharing, especially since access is limited. I feel privileged to see it too through your episode 👍🏻🇫🇷🤍
Imagine working there 😻 and you are welcome! We have been meaning to go there for a couple years 😂
@@AntonandSinan It's ok. It's the correct year now. I am happy for you that you finally visit it. Imagine working there? Imagine living there! 🤩😍🤪
