Was it not possible to subtract out the speed of Kerbin? The problem with SOI switches and making the distance a function of your speed is that, by crossing over from Kerbin's SOI to that of the Sun, you're suddenly going from a few hundred m/s to solar orbital velocity, which means that the Solar System becomes very small. Surely the speeds of Kerbin and your craft are stored as 3D vectors, so that you can do some mostly uncomplicated math to figure out your speed relative to Kerbin and keep things nice and consistent. For the Sun, that's pretty straightforward - just subtract Kerbin's velocity vector from yours. For orbits around other celestials you'd have to add the speed of the parent around the Sun to get your speed relative to the Sun, then subtract Kerbin's vector as before.
When I see a new upload I just know to feel bad for jeb in his new escape out of the sun that has some major problems or something but your content is some of the best on TH-cam

i think what happened at the beginning was you left kerbin for just a bit and then kerbins orbit got closer to the sun and left you behind. at that point it calculated your velocity around the sun and the EVERYTHING went into the sun.

I think what happened at the launching from Moho incident is that Eve swallowed the space center and the game couldnt generate the craft inside another planet.
next you need to swap out the mun for large ass planets. like swap the mun for jool or something. maybe you can make a planet orbit like a space station REALLY REALLY CLOSE to kerbin. idk if im original with this idea but i got the idea from all those videos where people photoshop or edit the planets to make them appear like if they were Earth's moon. real nice idea ngl.
I would like to see part 2 and I would like to download this plugin. And a suggestion that planets that doesn't have atmoshpere do the reentry effect when they enter another planet's amoshpere.
Ok, so in order to fix it, I would recommend lowering the radius of the planet's by the same factor as they are getting closer. That may end up with them eventually disappearing, but it should make it so the system looks normal from the craft.
What about the faster you move planets will shrink and gravity decrease and get closer so if u go fast enough they r touching each other but r microscopic
make all the planets rotate another one of them like mun rotates around kerbin, duna around mun, something else around duna, etc etc so we just get a planet rotating a planet rotating a planet rotating a planet rotating a planet...
