    Its videos like this that save you $250 in labor plus a speech about how they noticed the ‘johnson rod’ was goin bad and needs replacing.

      @@curbsidemechanics3040 the only thing might add is to take the cap off brake fluid reservoir before ya push the hydraulics back to ease the back pressure in the line

    I think this is the first I've ever seen someone actually use a jack stand! Thanks for the help guys saved me about 600 bucks.

    You should turn the wheel after removing the tire to get a better acces to the bolts.....also not sure it is a great idea to grease the tire bolts.......you should also put anti-sease grease before installing the new rotor.

    Good video, very informative. I thought you could have made things a little easier on yourself if you turned the steering wheel to the left (when working on the pass side brakes) so the bolts would be more easily accessed. Turn to the right when on the driver's side.

    Informative video but, no anti seize on the hub before putting the rotor on?? Thats gonna be a pain in the butt to remove next time around. Also, studs should never be lubed up because it affects the torque values when tightening the wheel lugs/makes them prone to over tightening or worse... potentially coming loose over time. You should have also checked the sliders as those can become seized up if they are not lubed.

    It's a shame the old Rangers require removal of the bearings for this job.

      Do you mean the rotors that have the wheel studs built in to them?

      ​@@redneckfarmer6584 That's exactly what I mean. The studs are a part of the rotor and the rotor is held on by the axle nut. Looking back on it, I guess its not a lot of extra work and gives you an excuse to change the bearings while you are doing the brakes.

    I have a 2011 Ranger and I just bought new rotors today at advance auto parts.the rotors I got came with the lug nut bolts on the rotors. Obviously I got the wrong rotors?

      From my understanding, yes. Is yours a 4x4 or a 2 wheel drive? That could make a difference in the front rotor

    There is a difference between 2WD and 4WD rotors.

    Not the same as my 08 ranger. Bearings come off with the rotor.

    I had to stop wearing watches and rigs working on shit.. on account of getting stuck between something sharp and something hot.. bad set of choices there…. Went with sharp because being 3rd degree burnt sucks way worse than stitches as long as the shit dont get infectulated….
