  • After about 30 trips to the Island taking our car and countless more on the boat, we finally had a go at camping on the island as a family.
    we tried out our new camping canopy setup including a new family size roof top tent. All this was to prepare our selves for camping and driving across the Simpson desert which we will do later in the year.
    This turned out to be a fantastic experience, we made new friends, had a great time gathering local food from the beaches to have a massive communal feast.
    The kids had a blast as there was lots of other kids for them to play with and with lots to do such as, swimming, snorkelling, sand boarding, collecting Pipi's and just generally running around having a great time.

    Awesome video elvin was really enjoyable to watch. Great value those 270 awnings as they are 499 to buy now. Hopefully they do a 180 degree version . Good to see you are making great memories for your beautiful family while the boys are young . Enjoy as they grow up so fast . Stay safe and take care 👍🍻

      Video went long but I didn’t want to make it into parts as I would probably never finish it lol. There might be an extended cut coming out as a private video as I had to cut a lot out.

    Some of those parts seem prehistoric. Especially driving through the water and rocks. Beautiful place but the salt waterv scares me. Meanwhile, why don't you splash out and get your wife those flashy cuppachino sachets for camping? 😎

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha we actually used to always have the sachets but haven’t got them for a while. I love it over there on K’gari. Still
      My favourite place even after traveling Oz. I do my best to avoid the salt water splashes but there is plenty who don’t care. Mostly in Toyota’s it seems lol.

    thanks for sharing mate, I was thinking to go with my Triton but i was a bit doubtful, now I know now I can go :))) do you have lift kit? what tires are you running with? cheers!!

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Too easy mate. I’m currently running a 40mm lift from outback armor and BFG all terrains. But I’ve taken the Triton with stock suspension and stock tyres over and had no worries. Just air down and drive to conditions.

    • @BrettWilliamson
      @BrettWilliamson ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mate, don't be nervous. I have a MR Triton as well and they love the sand (I drive Stockton Beach in NSW). Drop down to 14-15psi and you'll be sweet. Low Range if the sand is soft.

    • @trippingaround5675
      @trippingaround5675 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vito my paj there is almost standard. Main functional add ons are tyres and bash plates. The suspension on it is standard and sagging and it was fine.
      You'll be right stock standard with that triton. Most important thing? Low tyre pressures. Next most important thing imo? Its stopping that gets you bogged!

  • @BrettWilliamson

    Stick to the Japanese utes. As nice as VW are, I wouldn't trust owning one. I've had a few Mitsubishi and they have all been rock solid reliable.

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do love the tritons and actually Mitshubishi in general. This is my third Triton and I’ve always had good experiences with any warranty work needed. Even out of warranty work being covered. Can’t say that about most other brands.
      Really looking forward to see what the next gen Triton has to offer.

    • @BrettWilliamson

      @@AdventuringPals it will be interesting. I just hope they keep the Super Select gearbox. The AWD option is the best in the market and very welcome on wet or dirt roads. It's even good with towing in windy areas as it adds stability.

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BrettWilliamson yes. I agree. It’s a great advantage of the Triton over the rest of the market. Im hoping for a longer wheel base and more axel load limits and gvm.

    Did u do a lift on your suspension?

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate. Yes. It’s about a 40mm lift with outback armor. I have air bags in the rear too.

    • @str1506
      @str1506 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdventuringPals thats great the normal suspension is okay if u don’t have any loads. Will that effect the performance in any way. Coz I wanted to add a few upgrades like maybe a stainless steel exhaust. But not sure as yet
