I thought this would be awful, was pleasantly surprised. Sounds pretty solid. I own a 5.0L 2017 with a magnaflow dual rear exit and I'm really impressed with the sound of your 2.7l. Having owned 3 turbo cars in the past i am in love with the turbo noise as you let off the throttle. There's something about turbos i just cant get over. When you can gain 90hp with an $80 boost controller.... 😆 I bought a 2002 Subaru wrx in August 2001. Ran 14.3 stock. Spent less than $200 and got it to run 13.5@98mph. Ironically my like a dummie i ran my truck in 2wd but she ran 14.3 @98mph bone stock. Would love to she what she runs now with the magnaflow exhaust and airaid intake. Love your channel. Keep on keeping on. 👍
You will love the custom tune from BCB, they do great work. My 2.7 put down 340whp and 417tq on a DynoJet with there software. Truck is over 400hp crank and torque is insane
Did you have any issues involving any warranties on the truck if you had any? Would love to hear your set up doing some drive bys and gearing down. Amazing sound man!

No offense but the eco boost just doesn’t sound good to me. I like my 3.5eco but the exhaust will stay stock until someone comes up with an exhaust that doesn’t sound like a fart muffler.

I almost went with the Borla Atak but ran across your vid! I just ordered the AWE with non res mid. From the vids it sound like a little deeper tone than Borla. Both brands seem to be of high quality.(I’ve owned Borla before on my 350z) Why did you pick AWE over Borla? Just curious. Love the vids
To me the awe has a better tone than borla with the EcoBoost. I love how it sounds! With downpipes now it's even better down low but once you get to 4krpm it sounds like shit lol
Why do people think the only way to make a v6 sound good is to make it sound like a v8. We get it v8 sounds great. But why are so many people so narrow minded to any other sound that other engines make. 😒 Its seriously annoying.
Love the 35's. Can you fit a 35 inch spare in the spare tire well? I just got a used 2018 2.7L STX 4x4 superscrew with 50K miles. When I save the money, I'm looking at 34's on the stock 20's. I'm just not sure if I will need to re rout the tail pipe to exit in front of the tire so I can try to fit a 34 inch spare. Anyway, glad it work out in the end for you. That was a some serious hassle they took you through.
Hey man awesome truck! I finally pulled the trigger on a 2020 2.7 ecoboost. Did you find any power of accerlation issues with the lift? Did it make it slower? I’m not trying to do much performance mods but if you could recommend something what would it be? Catch can or not?
yes, with the lift you do notice the power difference but with the tune its fine. performance wise id go with tune if thats all your wanting to do. id do a catch can yes, i still have yet to on mine but definitely will be.
@@alzimme86 I have an 18 2.7l and the things that the jlt 3.0 separator keeps out of my engine is surprising. Yes you're right they did end up using both injection types on the 2018 ecoboosts but there no downside to running a catch can. Even if it is just to make you feel like a caring owner.

No it doesn't sit level. At the shop it was horrible, it looked squatted. Immediately had the shop lower the front. Only lowered it a bit so the front wasn't lower as the shocks settled but mine didn't settle much, my front is still maybe 3/4in higher. It depends on what ground I'm parked on if it looks level now.
@@WICKEDAUTO1 could you tell a difference with the downpipes? Any difference at all? There's really no Dyno info on any of the downpipes. Just wondering if it's worth being my next upgrade. I've got a tune and intercooler.

I wouldn't say it struggles no but with a tune. Without a tune it's certainly straining a little. It sits about 14-15 mostly highway. Planned on a regear to get back to almost 20

hey man. truck looks great. I'm a new F150 owner (2018 3.5 Kingranch). I'm researching the "top" performance mods for these ecoboost engines. If I do not care at all about exhaust sound or being loud at all do I need to upgrade the downpipes if all I care about is HP/Torque upgrades? The downpipe install vids I have seen seem like a NIGHTMARE job and not sure if the upgrade is worth the performance boost.
none, im not sure what it would be stock as it was tuned when i put the 6in on but with 5star over the winter it was about 14.5. now with bcb im getting about 16-17. only had the downpipes on a week so havent noticed a change from that yet

True dauls with 3" pipe and xpipe and 5" tips with magnaflow 2in2out muffler will sound way better.

Apparently you are able to fit a 35 in the spare well but I cannot verify that. It would certainly be a tight fit with the exhaust in my opinion

I got mine on myself and i have bad exhuast leaks at the passenger turbo. How do you fix this

i am absolutely! the exhaust is amazing!! i am not thrilled with the downpipes though. at roughly 4krpm and above it sounds absolutely horrible!

Did the downpipes bolt right up out of the box or did you need the turbo adapter kit to bolt these to the 2.7L turbos?
Bolted right up, but it is a pain to get them in there lol

Knock on wood, I have not had any issues. I've seen many say they have but just like anything else you hear the bad before the good
I think they’ve rectified it for the new models. But up to ‘18 they have issues with the clips breaking.

I actually am fine with the sound of this setup, the EB is so hard to get a decent sound with engines with no traditional exhaust headers.
