- We are so excited to be able to bring you part 2 of one of the best adventures we’ve had to date. We are so fortunate to have been surrounded by so many awesome people and cannot wait to come back next year. In this episode we close out the our time in the waste and have a little insight on our experience over the course of five days. Just FYI, you can go out the main entrance and ride the all the dirt roads outside of the event. Its all a public riding area. County and state OHV laws apply but you can open it up. Glad you had fun!
We actually found that out later. But from what I understand we would still need OHV tags from California City in order for it to be legit. We will look into it more so we can go rip around next year for sure! 🤘🏼❤️💀
Most of the surrounding trails are just outside of California City's trail system. Although if it's not Street legal I would recommend the cal city tags just to be cool. Current green sticker is ok around the event.

Haha!!! I don’t drink, so I was able to avoid any alcohol induced sleepiness yet there were a couple nights where old man syndrome kicked in and I for sure went to bed early. 😂😂😂
42:50 The tilt of shame, I thought I had more fuel in the tank but no. As we all started rolling out I ran out and had to push back to camp and mix up a fresh batch.
Damnit! Wish I would have known. I literally thought you were unsticking your float or that you had a very specific start up routine. Love the videos, I dont remember a whole lot from Wasteland and its nice revisiting. The car with the headers over the hood had me beat on loudness, but i still revved up 😂 that honda was Logans, he ended up trading for a 250r. The guy on the cushman, think his name was nockoff. He helped me with my clutches

These videos are exactly what I expected.. Pure AWESOME !!! You and Rhonda are the deal. Plus Rhonda is a party animal, who knew! I'm so mad I didn't make it 2 years ago while I was living there. But that would have entailed a lot of building outfits and making mini bike stuff. HAHA All things I love to do.
I do lots of event now Gambler 500, 24 hour LeMini mini bike endurance races, I started tagging along on Drag Week and Sick Week drag race events following my friends. Plus all the VW and regular car shows, Cars and Coffees, and motorcycle events. I'm sure you go to the Grand National Roadster Show, I got to go to it twice while i was in CA. The one two events ago with the VW's was mind blowing. I have 100's of pics from it.
BUT, WW is on my bucket list. It will be a strange flight into LAX with a backpack full of WW clothes. But with your accounts of how things work. Planning will be easier. Thank you for putting in the effort, it really helps us all.

Event wise we just do what comes to us and sounds fun. If the calendar says we can do it and the bank account is well stocked then we make it happen. I’ve been wanting to checkout some of the Gambler races and they seem like such fun events. That’s another bucket list item for us I guess.
And thank you as always for your support! We really did walk into this with what I do we got from our buddy Sethzilla. In the end everything worked out perfect. We for sure it continues to help people prep for the adventure as it can be a little stressful at times. We are so happy you enjoyed coming along with us in digital form. Thanks again! 🤘🏼❤️☠️
I've done the Florida Gambler 500 a few times. 300-400 cars show up. Its funny, its the same type of crowd from WasteLand. People devoted to their craft and making some cool cars. Camp all weekend and running the off road trails through central Florida. Lots of dirt sand and mud. Plus pick up tons of trash and litter. We fill several construction dumpsters every year. Plus lots of mini bike events mixed in. I went to the start of the CA Gambler 500 in Ramona CA when i first moved to San Diego. About 30 cars showed up. You could tell the west coast cars are cool, but the limitations from the car laws in CA make it tough. Florida is a freak show free for all. No rules for the most part. We had some Florida guys fly to Oregon for the OG 500. They said it was incredible. Maybe one day I can make it out there too.

I love your videos. I have been obsessing over this ever since my friends started talking about going. Your videos give me so many ideas. I am actually starting to get a clear picture of what I want to do for myself, my barter, and my chair. (Although I still have my concerns) Hopefully one day I'll get to meet you in the Wastes.
....and the name "Pockets" is hilarious since at Faire there is also a woman named Pockets.
I can do a MUCH better wheelie than those!!!.......I'll have to show them how it's REALLY done.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We are so happy that our videos can help you in someway. As first years, we had some concerns as well yet as soon as the event started all of that and went away. The community out there is so incredibly amazing that you literally feel at home the moment you step foot on the Event property.
And yeah, Pockets is freaking perfect for her. Ha ha! So stoked we were able to open our eyes a bit wider by the time we got ready to leave. The way slim literally brings clarity to you at some point before it ends.

Well, My main concerns are how soft the ground is and if they have any ADA bathrooms/privies. Those would be BIG factors on me going or not. (I refuse to use the bush lol)
Considering the names I have for my other events I do.....I'm curious/scared of what I would get for Wasteland.
Well, I'll have to seek you guys out and you can film it.
.....We won;t tell the competition that I can do a one handed, nearly verticle wheelie for several minutes.
(Think of something embarrassing for them to do after they lose)

@@glennmorganfan9411 the roads believe it or not are pretty awesome. I actually saw quite a few people in electric powered and non-electric powered wheelchairs out there. Matter of fact, I think one of them even got elected mayor this year. And as most events are required to do in the state of California they had handicap restrooms with the larger doors and floor plan.

Well heard you guys talking about wanting to actually build a car to bring to the event next year and I am just throwing out there that I have two POST APOCALYPTIC and one of them has been out there for about 5 different events.
It's technically already built (which kinda takes the fun out of it) but I'm doing some upgrades on it before bringing it out next year if i don't sell it first........
That’s awesome! We actually came up with our next project before we even left the event. We are going to keep it under wraps and not release the build videos until after next year‘s event as we want to keep it a secret until then. We cannot wait to get back to the desert to hang out with all of our new friends.

My other car is pretty huge so it probably wouldn't have been up your wheelhouse (pun intended) anyways and it's always more significant and fun to build one yourself anyway!!!
@@skeetermcswagger0U812 for sure! We have enough full-size cars to work on for our other mechanical hobbies, such as car shows and local cruises. Being able to have a reliable daily driver to tow smaller rigs to Wasteland with is actually kind of nice. I will leave the full-size vehicles to the other guys until, the bug really hits me. For now we are good. 🤘🏼❤️☠️

Do you see more campers or tents there? Did you bring stuff to barter with?
I highly recommend going!
If you watch the other videos it will give you the detailed rundown. But for the sake of giving a simple overview: bring your own food, make friends and eat their food that most of them offer or pay vendor. 50/50 campers and tents. And yes. Thank La for your support! 🤘🏼❤️☠️

The difference between the weather in FL and the dessert will be an adventure in itself. Haha!!! We will be there for sure next year so be on the lookout for our ETM 540 flag or Rhondas bike. @etm540clubhouse Surely I will see you there! And yes, the weather is completely different. I've been to Death Valley(in July, yes, crazy!)a few years ago on my overlandig trip from FL to Cali. Hopefully, I can reunite a couple of guys from here and go in a caravan.
