While I partly agre, there's much harder architecture to deal with/fewer people who know how to hack MSX/Mega Drive, SNES translations are waaay more common. I'm surprised there's a GG translation though, those are even rarer than MSX/Mega Drive ones. I do think that the Mega Drive version is much more likely to be translated still, would be cool to see that happen eventually. With computers the situation is much more difficult.
SFC version isn't mediocre, unless you mean the translation, it's just not a first person dungeon crawler, but a free roaming overhead view game. Both SFC and MD versions though have some gorgeous spritework. Of course they are pretty much just about all translated, not sure about the MSX games though, other than this one. There's also the Saturn RPG's for this series, those aren't translated (there's are 2 for the Saturn, Waka Waka Puyo Puyo Dungeon, and Madou Monogatari).
