Omg, thank you for this video. I’m moving to Dubai and have been hearing all sort of things. Some people say you need 2000-3000 aed on groceries alone, which to me sounds insane. This video made me feel less stressed, the prices actually seem to be so much lower compared to Canada
Thank you very much for this video, I'm moving to Dubai in October, and this is exactly the kind of information I need. Could you please make a video on rent cost and maybe salary expectations?
Super helpful video!❤ i’m moving to Dubai in October now I can search for these spots for groceries when I arrive there , hope we can connect 😊 see ya there
there are 25 fils and 50 fils coins (like cents) and if the cashier has that then they'll give you, otherwise they'll tell you they don't have change and you can buy a small lollipop or something to make up for it if you want. But otherwise, and if it's something that neither 25 or 50 fils can be used for, like 5 dirhams and 90 fils, if you're paying by cash you just don't get any change usually. it's just ignored I guess. sometimes cashiers keep small candies at the counter to give in place of change.
Umm this is insane. Why is everything so cheap. At least comparing to Moscow. I live in Moscow and I'm telling you food here, in comparison to this video, is 20-30% more expensive than Dubai. Do you guys have like normal outdoor markets there?
I havent bought honey myself, but they have honey at both Viva and Carrefour - I would try Viva first since its cheaper, and see if you like the quality there. Otherwise go to Carrefour and they have a hugeeee selection there
Thanks Emely, very informative video (suggested by ChatGPT). How long have you been in Dubai? What do you think of living in here? 😄

Her purchase is for a week. If she gets everything from carrefour probably it would be 500-600 dhs a week, 2000-2500 a month
