Here are the contents of a pc described as body parts
Cpu- The brain, it makes the pc a pc.
Psu (power supply)- The heart, gives power to everything.
Motherboard- The body, all things are connected to the motherboard and needs a decent psu to live, nothing to weak or powerful.
Gpu(graphics card)- Really I can't compare it to a body part, it makes games run smooth in short.
RAM- memory space for the brain to use all at once
Ssd or hard disk- Storage for all of your things like games, pictures, videos, etc.
Note: ram is to run multiple things at once and ssd or Hard disks are for space for things you aren't using.
That's how I see pc components so I don't confuse new people to pc's.

I liked the video, but you seemed to have entirely ignored a very important aspect when choosing your parts and that is compatibility issues. I've never done this before and I am inexperienced in it, but a lot of experienced people have told me that some parts CAN be incompatible with each other and it can be a very real issue. I don't know if it's true, but you might seeing as you made a video on building a pc. Thoughts?

Your video was recommended first, and I'm glad it was because the way everything actually fits together makes way more sense now and I feel a lot more confident with understanding not only what each piece does, but how one section can affect another and work alongside it! Should be a giggle, 49 and worked with computers most of my life (head of QA for a very large well known company) and had pre-builds all my life... Lets see how much I can mess this up!

Every time I go to pick a build for parts, I pick a basic one that’s around £600 and then I start picking more parts and before you know it, it’s like £1500 when I’m only wanting to spend under £1000. Should I just go with the basic and will that be okay? Because every part just sounds cool so I pick the middle ones and even then, they slowly stack up. ):

This is a great video! Though I have one thing to add on to what you said about the ram. When buying ram, don't only look at the frequency of it, but also the latency, because there is a chance that if the ram you are buying has a high frequency, it could also have a high latency and you could get different ram with lower frequency and latency much cheaper and that performs the exact same. Here is a video explaining frequency and latency incase anybody doesn't understand them th-cam.com/video/_WsfeuWI7mU/w-d-xo.html
