absolute beast of a computer for a first build lol
Yeah thats what I was going to say a Ryzen 9, Dom platz, and a 4080, I think he vastly overspent.
@@IsaiahBrooksit's his first PC and he's like 25+ old when you're that old you probably should have around 3000/4000 pounds to spend on a PC if that's his first ever PC
@@IsaiahBrooksAlthough should've went with a better motherboard like an aorus
I am excited to build my first pc. I am going to buy the rest of the parts tomorrow thanks to your videos. Its gonna be a ryzen5 5600, rx 6600 build ~£600

Which parts?

I’m waiting until the 4070 super comes out
@@notcrewe452I thought it already was?
I love how this video was put together assisting a beginning and asking / answering a lot of questions along the way. Very cool format.
Love your videos - just done my first PC build over Christmas and all went great 👍🏻
Wow. What a great video. I can’t wait to build my first pc, this video really helped me feel confident.
A bit of advice when building a computer with multiple people present. Never hand a bare computer component directly from one person to another. Static electricity is a part killer, and just the difference in static charge between two people can be enough to fry a stick of memory or a drive, or even a motherboard or video card if you're particularly unlucky (though parts like that do tend to be a bit more robust). If another person needs to take it from you, set it down for them to pick up. Needless to say, try to avoid working on a computer while on carpet, too.
About resetting the CMOS by removing the battery, you'll also want to have the motherboard powered off and removed from all power (unplug it from the power supply) because many motherboards will still pull enough of a trickle from the PSU to keep the CMOS clock running even with the battery removed.
Another reason to start the build outside of the case (which they didn't do here) is to boot it at least once with everything plugged in to make sure all your components work.
Unfortunately, while the rates are low, parts do sometimes fail right out of the box. It's a lot easier to troubleshoot while everything is still laid out on the table than with it all installed in the case. Even if you do install it all in the case before the first time you turn it on, definitely do some testing before you start cable management. (One of the reasons to test before putting it in the case is so you can do cable management _as_ you install each component.)
Trust me, you don't want to go through all the effort of installing all your parts just to have to take it all apart again because you forgot to properly install an M.2 drive or a cooler backplate or something similar, or because you got a bad stick of RAM.
building isn't that hard. it's choosing the parts that would work best with each other and making sure everything would fit in the case is the hard part for the beginner.
Dude i bought my first case (the hyte y60 bc i love how it looks) and realized i had no clue how to make a build. I really hope its as easy as ppl say/it looks 😭
Sick case! Loved the shape. Looks clean man
Nice relaxing content after outrageosly nervous day and life. Thank you.
Absolutely LOVE your videos! I'm actually in the process of building my first PC as well right now and this was such a big help!! ❤🔥
I love this case and the creativity of it great build and like the beginner building class
Hi.
Just built my first pc yesterday using this video. I found it really helpful for the most part but then when it came to cpu cooler install and connecting all the cables, I had to reference your other videos… which wasn’t a problem because I had them all saved in preparation.
But my first pc build is now up and running thanks to you!
Cheers! 😁
i will be building my PC very soon, this video was really cool to see how someone who didnt already build 1000 PCs to build a PC and yeah, thank you for that video and wish me luck
Watching those videos hits different after building my first beast of pc 🔥
I absolutely love the Hyte Y70. There's so much room and so much potential, and all that glass lets your eyes feast on your finished work from then on.
Always good to see a newbie build a pc.
This looks so amazing! 😍
Seeing all of your hard work just coming together and building such a masterpiece is so satisfying.🤤
Hard work?
watching this was very well spoken and clear to understand.
Love how he said he would just be there if he needed help but he’s almost doing the entire build for him 😂
fr
it does make for a shorter and smoother video so i understand
prolly for content, some people would have clicked off otherwise...
That’s how it typically goes, most pc enthusiasts are too hands on lol
If you have ever helped a first time builder, you would know this it how it almost always goes👍
that case is wicked, love it
Great video for the amateurs
Thanks 👍🏿
Awaiting for that hardware before I build
Can you actually show the cabling attachment, it’s the most difficult part for non tech people, whereas just showing fitting cpu, gpu, ram etc is relatively straightforward.
Parts for my PC Build get here in 1 week! Very excited
How did it go bro
Love that case!
I am looking forward to buy a really high end pc build (My dream gaming setup) and this video really helps.
Cool video this is almost the same build I am doing so this was very helpful
that case is amazing.
Love that case allot!
27:06 actually frame generation is available with every GPU of the RX 6000 and the RX 7000 series, it's called AFMF (AMD Fluid Motion Frames), and it just came out a few weeks ago
I am building my first ever in the next week I think that I can get it done. But there is always that uncertainty that makes you nervous edited anyone that wants to know it will be a Ryzen 7800x3d with 4060ti 32gb memory 980 pro 2tb in the 3000d airflow water cooler. Just got it for Christmas and so excited
niceee
for christmas? that's one hell of a gift
“You look like a strong man.. but you’re very weak..” 😂😂😂
Bruh I died 😭😂
bruh right to his face too lol
I built my first and current gaming pc with the help of your videos! The prices were way too inflated, because it was lockdown, but I couldn't be happier with it! Keep it up! (specs below for anyone who cares)
Fractal Meshify C case
MSI b550 gaming plus mobo
corsair vengeance 3200mhz 16gb DDR4 RAM
Corsair RM850 PSU
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x CPU
AMD Wraith Prism CPU Cooler (Came with the CPU)
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080ti Founders Edition GPU - at a very inflated price lmao
1tb ADATA XPG NVME SSD
1tb Sunbow SATA SSD
Thinking of maybe an AIO cooler in the nearish future, and WAAY off into the future, at least a 30 series GPU, but with the 1080ti still being a monster, I've no need for now. :)
How much did everything cost?
@@dinkin_flicka14 At time, it was about £1000, but the gpu on top was £560, (so about £1600 total) its painful looking at how the prices have changed now, but I was just impatient with no real knowledge on when everything would go down, and it'd probably all be worth about £800 ish now
im building my first pc today im nervous to build it but excited
I'm so glad i bought into the corsair link system less mess
could u do a video on how to safely clean a pc most of the vids are 7 years old the UK is depending on u bro great vids as always
1st rule of professional PC building: Ignore grounding! 🤞
What's that?
static electricity that builds up can break ur pc if u dont ground yourself
I'm about to build this weekend for the very first time. I started out knowing only the minimum basics, after about a week of research and your reviews I now feel confident that I have spent less money for similar performance as the pre-build I had my eye on. I'm still nervous but this really helped me calm my nerves somewhat. Thanks for all your work and education!
Oh and specs if anyone is curious:
7800X3D
Powercolor XT 7900XTX hellhound
MSI MAG B650 tomahawk wifi
2×16GB 6000Hz CL30
2TB SSD
1000W corsair psu
Phanteks eclipse G500A
Arctic liquid freezer ii 360
Choices based on a mix of what I want/what I realistically actually need and what was reasonably priced. Equivalent of $2760 because I live in Norway
That's almost exactly like my build that I just built this week, Same boat as you but I did everything in about 2 hours, thankfully ran into almost no issues! absolutely enjoying it, tho I wish I went for a different motherboard than the Asrock because their RGB software is so so bad xD
Nice, I have a similar build, went a white and black build.
You gonna record or post pics of it somewhere I would love to see what that looks like. I’m saving up some money now working two jobs so I can buy and build my first pc also! Would love to know how it goes for u man, good luck and enjoy it!!!!
@@deanvaknin4940 I haven't thought of it and I'll probably forget anyway. I'm not a social media person, TH-cam is pretty much as close as I get. Best of luck to you too, hope you manage to save up for your dream pc in the not too distant future 😀
That's a lot of damage. My budget is 1500-600$ and I'm new to PC building and my requirement is gaming and graphic designing so can you please suggest a configuration that suits my requirement and budget
I have never built a pc before, then all a sudden i decided to spend 3 grand on a new build for myself, and 2 grand on my wifes. shes 1080P gamming and im 1440P gamming. but i built two completely new pc's first try, updated bios even, set up xmp profiles, installed windows too. 3 months in no issues on first boot. all of this is because i keep watching PC centric. your videos are awesome, the way you handle the components made me less afraid, because i see there not as fragile as i was thinking lol.
anyone that is wants to build a pc i think can easily do it, just have to be patient, calm, and abit careful. Installing the cpu was my most stressful part. tiny little pins on these 7800X3D cpu's .
I just built my first pc and it is not as hard as it looks the only challenging thing I would say is plugging in all the cables into the motherboard but after looking at some videos I knew exactly what I was doing.
That’s the part I’m worried about
I have the same case but all black with 4090, 14900k and 64 gig of 6000hz ram and I love it. Enjoy your new PC mate. PS I have a 1300 w PSU and would always go higher than you need as they last for ages, just saying.
Happy holidays
Just re-built using this case, very impressed with the access during the build process removal of panels is so easy. One point with your build that concerns me is you are extracting hot air over the radiator that is cooling the cpu, hence your high cpu temperatures. I installed an AMD wraith prism air cooler, temperature of the cpu max is between 55c - 60c running 4K ultra settings.
I'm going to be building in this case very soon, is there a better fan config that you have? I was going to go for bottom and front for intake and top aio and back fan output. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
@@ImTonyBruh I have 2 x 140mm bottom intake fans. 3 x 120mm lian Li reverse intake fans from the side. 1 x 140 mm Lian Li extract at the back. 3 x 120mm extract Lian Li at the top. I have no AIO but cool cpu with AMD wraith fan. Working perfectly with no ugly radiator hoses in the case. I run a RTX4080 FE GPU
Just purchased a Corsair Vengeance i7500 with a i9 14900KF and RTX 4090. Loving your content so far and looking forward to PC gaming.
im waiting for parts to arrive for my first built, i got my b760m, 2x8gb ram, i5 12400f and 600w psu in the mail today and am just waiting for an rx6600, case and 1tb nvme m.2 drive
By far the scariest bit of your first build is the first time powering on. That terrified me!
It still scares me now and I have been putting pc's together since the 80's 😀
Damn dude, I remember following you when you had like 30k subscribers, you were barely smiling back then and now look at you, more comfortable in front of the camera.
Keep it up!
Good job, looks great ! I actually have the very same case to start my new build. I didn't like the tinted glass so I got the Y70 Snow White for clear glass to put in the Y70 Touch White/Black. How do you feel about tinted glass?
Been following your channel for a while now and decided to have a go.. done a Ryzen 5, gtx 1650 for my daughter... I had a blast and now I want to build another one but this hobby I can see becoming rather expensive 😅
That case is huge.
I am going to be real honest here. If you have done your research and watched a ton of build guides then you can be confident that you can successfully build a PC however do not be fooled by videos like these, you wont finish it in like 2-3 hours, my first build took me 2 evenings to do simply because i got stuck with my components, mainly trying to get the standoffs for the aio bracket installed on the motherboard, and also you dont have an expert PC builder right next to you to help you when you are stuck. You have to look through manuals over and over again to find out what you need and how stuff goes together, it seems easy when you see a lot of builds but there are intricacies which can slip you up, and as i said before you dont have someone who knows basically how every variation of a pc part gets installed. Also if you have RGB that can increase the complexity. Let me tell you aswell installing a GPU for the first time is not as easy as it looks
In reality, all of this is highly subjective. Just because it took you 2 nights to build your first system doesn't mean everyone else will take that long. Some people with no prior experience can set up their system in a few hours or even less.
@@JJFlores197 TBF you do have a point i suppose it comes down to how complicated the build is, but it is also important not to expect it to be done quickly then you would be pleasently surprised if you did do it quickly
It looks absolutely amazing! He did overspend a lot for what he has though
He said he was planning to upgrade gpu forgot what cpu he has tho
Fantastico bellissimo
It took me about 4 and a half hours. When i but my first PC this year. It wasn't that bad
There was a time when I was a curmudgeon and preferred heatsink-fans for cooling CPUs. Then CPUs got to be too much for the old HSF bit. While I don't like that AIOs don't last as long and are a bigger pain to install, I like that I can get less noise for the amount of cooling, plus there is less total weight on the motherboard.
Wow this is literally the exact same specs I was looking at using
I know it’s pretty late to say but. Welcome to the pc master race my friend

Watching your videos is giving me courage to go for my 1st ever Pc Build. I am not a complete newbie but for sure ive never build a pc from scratch and the most scary thing for me is the 1st boot which can have some bios errors and so on.

GPU: Powercolor Radeon RX 7800 XT Hellhound Spectral White
MOBO: B650 AORUS ELITE AX ICE (is a flash bios here required?)
RAM: 2x16GB CORSAIR(any othe suggestions here?) RGB 6000 CL 30/32(dunno if the latency really affects ingame performance at this point)
SSD: WD Black SN770 NVMe 1TB (or something around same price)
PSU: Corsair RM850 (2021), RM Series, 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold WHITE(i want this mostly so i dont bother with white extenders...any suggestions?)

i'm about to build my first pc too, the part that scares me the most is cable management, they're just so many cables it's hard to even remember all of their names 😨
My personal experience, cable management was the worst part, especially trying not to mangle connectors like usb3 or 3pin argb
I’m gonna be building in this case soon. I couldn’t tell from the fan orientation since they all seem to be facing the same way. Which are the intake and exhaust fans? Im assuming the top fans and the single fans r exhaust and the right and bottom are intake but idk.

Explaining how to build a PC, you completely glossed over the internal wire connections, they are the most important part of any new build, take your time with the internal cabling to avoid failures such as the one you had or even worse damaging the parts.
New to this, aren't the radiator fans meant to bring cooler air in? Why are the blowing through it?
Hey, I’ve been a console player all my life (PlayStation). I’m thinking about getting a gaming pc. Do you have your gaming pc plugged into an ups or a surge protector?

Just watched a few of your videos and i see u are not afraid of latent ESD damage, but not why im posting, just wanna say it much easyer to put in the 8pin cpu cables and 24 pin before you mount motherboard in case and attach all cables to psu before mounting the psu. Just a suggestion, no ofense…

I wish you would of went over a little bit of airflow and fan orientation. It looked like all 3 rad fans, 3 side fans, and 1 rear fan are all exhaust (just based on normal fan design/orientation) Assuming the 2 bottom are intake? I am going to be building in a Y60 soon. I plan to have the 3 120mm rad fans and the rear 120mm fan exhaust and I am using 2 140mm side and 2 140mm bottom fans as intake. Looking for confirmation.
