      @@kaiiverson6540 just don't keep putting it off and saying "ill wait for it to get cheaper" You'll just never catch up. Id say just buy stuff when you can. Maybe use PCpartPicker to build something. You can have it just pull amazon links for you, where you know you can get a refund if needed. You'd want to buy DDR5 generation gear, to minimize the cost of upgrades in the future. You could also try to find a system on marketplace or something. Lots of people list their old build when they make a new one, or are just down bad. Then you just buy one, maybe 2 parts, whenever you can afford them.

So I bought a CPU without integated graphics and didn't show any display lol. Ended up buying a gpu in the end even if I didn't plan to.

    Great video, as always but wish you would have given a couple of supporting points as to why the 4070 ti is a hard no for you. That’s the one I’m considering getting because I like the higher performance compared to the 4070 and the sub $1000 price point. 4080 is above $1000. What are some negatives about the card that make you rule it out as a decent option?

    • @Naodnkedhdj

      @enroxfn3515 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you HAVE TO fulfill your ray tracing urges and dlss 3 and maybe even use frame gen for a few titles then ok. But that doesn’t change the fact the 7900xt is cheaper, performs better in straight rasterisation, and has 8GB more vram which is crazy to think about considering it costs less than the 4070ti, not to mention its not even a efficient card like the none ti 4070. Thats why he considers it a hard PASS unless you plan to use ray tracing EVERY single day

    • @Chig_Beggers
      @Chig_Beggers ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not worth it when it comes to price versus performance. You're paying $800 for meh 4K performance with decent legs in Ray-Tracing. 7900XT is a far superior option if you're looking at framerates and pricing. NVIDIA have fumbled the bag a fair bit this generation.

    Not to mention the size.

    • @DarthDre
      @DarthDre ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also, if this is your first build-- make sure to check what RAM you are getting, as different RAM can be 'geared' towards different CPU's
      Basically:
      XMP kits are made more efficiently for INTEL
      EXPO kits are made more efficiently for AMD
      AMD can use both but apparently Intel is less stable when used with EXPO kits
      This is only if you enable those modes in the bios to achieve the advertised speeds.
      ALSO this next point is very important:
      Check your components against the compatibility lists of your chosen motherboard etc-- the easiest way to do this is via PC Part Picker and just 'build your pc there' it will mention price and any potential issues, the other way is if you know your Motherboard then check the QVL list and what it's compatible with.
      Anyway although it may seem daunting, as long as you follow instructions, slow down, and use your common sense building a pc can be/is an amazing experience and I hop you enjoy it.
      Pro tip, if you get tired/frustrated take a break/start up again the next day, also use your motherboard box to put your components together, and keep your phone at a distance but close enough to quickly watch a video/Google anything you're not sure about 🤙🏽

      If you're doing things by the book, yes you're supposed to pay for Windows. Unofficially, Microsoft lets you run Windows 10/11 indefinitely w/o paying for it. You won't be able to personalize your PC and a watermark appears. Other than that everything works the same as if you paid for it.
      No need to buy network or sound cards. Computers have had those built-into the motherboard for at least 20 years. You can still buy separate cards if you want, but they're not necessary for most use cases.

    Do you recommend air coolers or liquid for a first.time builder

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Either one works fine. In reality, most PC gamers don't need a liquid cooler unless you plan on running very high-end and high heat producing components OR if you need the quietness of a liquid cooler. You also have to factor in the potential of leakage which can damage your components. It doesn't mean it will happen, but it is a real possibility.

      @@JJFlores197 yea the leaking is what worries me. It's my first build so it will be one less thing to worry about. Thanks!

    Great video as always. Love the informative content you produce. I do have a question though. Will a i5 13400f be sufficient to pair with a 4070 for 1440p 165hz gaming? How bad will it bottleneck if ant at all? Thanks in advance and keep up the great content! Always look forward to watching your videos!

      I would recommend at least a Ryzen 5 7600x at least, idk if you need a better CPU since I am also a bit new, but considering the Ryzen 5 7600x is good paired with the Rx 6700xt ( a slightly worse GPU), it should be good enough or bottleneck by very little

      Not if your playing gpu intensive games but if your going to play more of a balance of esports, and fps games along side those AAA titles than i would say get a r5 7600x or non x either is fine

    • @Chig_Beggers
      @Chig_Beggers ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LackOfBrain 13400F may struggle a bit at certain resolutions and settings. 7600X has the benefit of a 5GHz+ clock speed, so when you're pushing it with 4K or Ray-Tracing the CPU should be able to handle it. I imagine the 13400F may struggle to a degree. Mind you though I know people that have been running the 5600X with a 4070 at 4K and its fine, so it really depends.

    I'm trying to make my first gaming pc build, and watching your videos is really helping me pick the right things I want to choose. I've finalized everything except the CPU. My two options are Ryzen 5 5600x or i5 13400f. I'm going for an only gaming pc at 1080p to 1440p for GOW, some fps shooters and F1. I am sticking with a 6700xt. Can you help me choose which cpu could be better

      Where I am the 5600x and the am4 mobo combo is cheaper than the Intel set

    • @atirta777
      @atirta777 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bhavaniprasad7084 The Ryzen 5 5600 non-X version would be the absolute best value as it's only 1-3% slower than the 5600X and usually costs about 10% less. That paired with fast RAM will come very close to the performance of the 13400F.
      Only go for the 13400F if you really need its performance cores for core count benefiting workloads, or somewhy really need the extra 10% of gaming performance. The 5600 will still provide over 360fps in fps shooters like CS:GO, Valorant, and Overwatch. And in most other games, you will be GPU bottlenecked anyway with an RX 6700 XT.
      Hope this helps

      @@atirta777 ok thanks for the help, but isn't the 6700xt better suited for 1440p with 12Gb vram. I was hoping the cpu will be bottlenecking and I wanted to choose one that can run efficiently with it

    • @atirta777
      @atirta777 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bhavaniprasad7084 The 6700 XT is the best choice at that price for anything tbh, but a GPU bottleneck is always better than a CPU bottleneck because less stuttering and smoother frametimes. Most fps shooters will still be CPU bottlenecked as they are designed like that.

    When you say 32gb of ram do you mean each stick has 32gb or each stick has 16 gb. (Assuming you only have 2 sticks of ram)

    • @streetako
      @streetako 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      He meant 16 gigabytes on each stick, that way you have dual channel, meaning it utilizes both slots. So, for instance, 32 gigabytes in one slot is slightly worse than two 16 gigs.
