Enjoying seeing more content from you mate. Have to get my car back down for a checkup at Surrey RR sometime. Are pops and bangs achievable on the 09 hatch STi standard ECU running Ecutek?
I like the pops and bangs but have a Prodrive stainless steel exhaust system in place as part of the PPP and would worry that it might make the cats cough their expensive guts out!
That can be done on Ecutek racerom which is available on drive by wire cars. On some cable throttle cars it is possible to do alternative types of rooms using a mild antilag set up but I wanted to cover the basics of what contributes to it so that it can be applied to whatever type of rom you are tuning 👍
Thank you for sharing, im still fairly new to tuning and I have a question, how do you get the ALPHA OverRun fueling dropdown? its disabled on mine, I use ecuflash btw

Just curious if this can be done on a twin turbo legacy with the factory exhaust? I’m thinking if trying it out 😂. I hope you left the pops and bangs in the tune
Hi... I am not sure off the top of my head as to the limitations of the ecu in yours but assuming you can get the timing where it needs to be the pops will be created. Whether you can hear them through the std cats and resonators is another thing - I very much doubt it will be audible to any real degree. Worth experimenting though :) Pops and bangs stayed in mine for a long while but have removed at the moment as most of my miles currently are boring motorway miles... They will return :)
Hi. Exactly the same way as I did it on the video. If that table doesn't exist in the xml definitions for your rom it doesn't mean that table isnt there...just that noone has put it into the definition. I added that table to my one. What software are you using?
It's more difficult to add to a gc8. The 99/00 ecu won't let you go into negative ignition values and the earlier ecus aren't mappable as std. Aftermarket ecus are available for them and you can add them.. Obviously check with your mapper 😔👍
Any long term effects of the pops and bangs apologies if I missed you mention this in the vid? Mine actually pops and crackles a quite a bit as it is 😁
