- Very impressed with how this thing feels with boost, full part list coming very soon!
Massive shoutout to:
@derryswop - tuner that got Speeduino working
@BMcGuinness - street tuned it in the cornfields
The main issue we’ve been having was ecu readings and crank no starting, but derryswop got it figured out and reflashed the board (which I was very nervous about but worked perfect) got it fired and and brendab killed it with the street tune car ran perfect all weekend!!
Excuse the massive amounts of rtv on the front timing cover, started leaking at the track and had no time to swap gaskets so hopped it up and she held, will fix now that I’m back home

Yo im the derryswop guy from germany . ECU wise the Kdata (which is made in germany) is the same thing in blue, but I‘d call it worse than the RM-Racing speeduino. The problem is not really the ECU but the firmware- both ecu‘s get shipped out with years old firmware and thats the first thing that needs to be updated . The basemaps on both ecus are complete trash just with only the base timing angle being correct atleast . But thats mostly the case even on more expensive ecus like haltech pnp‘s . On the kdata the newest firmware available is 4 years old. On the speeduino theres almost every half year a new firmware with new features and safeties. The main problem is that theres not many people that can help you out with those ecus when it comes to stuff like this. Most only know how to tune and thats its. They dont want to bother with firmware stuff- but once its running it absolutely fulfills its purpose. Being cheap and not having to wire up a harness. I also run a speeduino in my boosted e36 m50 turbo daily
Well more ya know, I’ve been being told in other e36 chats the kdata is simpler so I guess disregard that comment, but yeah hit him up if you have a Speeduino to get ya m5x/m4x turbos running^^
@@Jz_Janks all comes down to personal experience, the guy that installed more than 2 kdatas is gonna call the kdata easier than anyother ecu and same goes vice versa. Most of the time its just 1 missing piece of the puzzle to get the ecu running which is in both cases the firmware. I did around 6 kdata installs and have had sync loss (crank signal) issues on 2 setups. If you dont know how to get rid of such „small“ problems (forexample)thats enough to make you throw the ecu in the trash. And most of the time people blame it on being a „cheap“ ecu but they forget that the same problems can come up on a top end ecu. Thatll make you think „ why did I even spend so much money if i still have issues with a known brand ecu „
@@lobotomyy definitely fair, my buddy just had a issue with ecu masters like that. All in all once I found you it was very easy to get going, but the 2 months leading up to that was a nightmare and they told me to send to ecu back thinking it was a board issue and that didn’t solve the main issue. Not sure if they actually found an issue or not but we got it running and that’s all that matters
What power are you making?

@@RobPantridge 🤝such a good weekend
loving your videos man what size turbo and injectors are you running do you plan on leaving the stock ecu or getting an aftermarket??
It’s on a standalone, 440cc Bosch green giants and t2871r
How did you connect the ecu to your computer?
@@cashwing8505 it’s a standalone ecu, has a plug in port for it
Have you ever tried to with the afm in front of the turbo?
@@eddiehp6108 I haven’t, I have only seen it like that on stock ecu
@@Jz_Janks since you went standalone its better to use the m44 maf its more accurate
@@eddiehp6108 🤔 wait really?
@@Jz_Janks yep, if your ecu supports it contact speeduino
