Should the Lego thing even count? It just seems like a fan film by the way it looks! Also, you didn’t put Joshua and the Promised Land on the list! (I mean, Saberspark made it popular, so…)
Another Saberspark fan? And although I agree Joshua and the Promised Land should get at least a mention, El Arca De Noe doesn’t deserve to be here; it’s definitely pretty weird, but at least it’s watchable and had potential, unlike these shambling junk piles.
It's a shame there are so many poorly made, lazy products based off of religion On occasion, you can get some real gems like Asura's wrath, Okami, The prince of egypt, Unruly heroes, or even pretty much the entirety of the Shin Megami Tensei series
I'm saying this as a Christian: it's humiliating that my faith is used for these bottom-of-the-barrel productions that are made primarily because because they're an easy sell. A lot of people are afraid that they need to do everything possible to ensure salvation. That if they let themselves take in what they perceive might be sinful entertainment then it's an eternity in Hell for them. But because people need entertainment period, they'll buy up "religious" productions like candy regardless of quality, just to be safe. The people selling the stuff to them know this. It's the same mindset that was behind the sale of indulgences in the 16th century. As a Protestant, I believe that you shouldn't stress out over salvation, in the process squandering the gift of life. That literally all you have to do to be saved is _ask_ to be. But I understand that not everyone believes that, and I continue to be disgusted that people exploit that so blatantly.
I second that Wholeheartedly and although I am not of you faith I can certainly sympathize that these movies do more harm than good and it drives me up the wall to see this drek being peddled as somehow religious personally I would like to see Book of Mormon Stories in their as well those just sucked and werent Acurate at all. side note I do not know much about the Protestant religion and im curious,, could we trade theories on our respective religions?
I've been an atheist for 16 years now but The Prince of Egypt is one of the greatest movies. The music, the animation, the fiction.. Everyone else can just stop making religious movies. Nothing will compare.
One thing that always bothered me was that in every christian movie, the characters are all white... yeah.. in middle east, 2000+ years ago, Jesus was a blond with blue eyes
@@shcdemolisher its because of Catholisism and Constantine for over a thousand years the roman catholic priests and the pope white washed their God to the point where he looked more like them than the actual figure in history and they burned, tortured, brutally executed, and beheaded anyone that said differently look at Joan of arc or Martin Luther (tueton not human rights activist) or John Wycliff to name just a a few of the thousands murdered in the name of religion.
@@Gitaxianjack well, pretty much this /\ . But nowadays its more of a thing where everyone is just used to seeing him white and beautiful (even tho in the bible its said he was not)
One thing that bothered me was that in the bible (I only read the graphic novel version of it in order to understand it better... I'm still a "Doubting Thomas"), they depicted God as an all powerful, merciful (yet vengeful) deity, yet he puts on a Jealous Girlfriend when he sees Moses' people melting all of their gold into a cow statue to worship, made Miriam into a leper just for questioning His powers...only to cure it when she "learned her lesson", but she had to be banished and not speak. "Hey sis. I know this is the first time we've seen each other since I was left in a basket on the Nile River, but God told me that I can't see you anymore. Bye."
@@christinalittleton2242 I dont pretend to have all the answers but I can tell you this at one point in Joshua (I read the King James version) Joshua is told to wipe out all living things in a certain city I cant remember its name, and Joshua does it with the golden calf and Miriam first and foremost multideism as it is called ussually results in human/child sacrifice and the golden calf was the symbol of babylon who did that for a thousand years also they had just got out of Egypt and they made human sacrifices to their gods as well. with miriam she didnt just question Moses she wanted to be in the position he had. Prophet Of the Lord is not something that can be taken. It was less questioning his methods and more questioning his position. I hope that clears up just a little about your questions and also know that the bible itself is an incomplete book so we definitely dont have the whole story.
Oh yeah and he should play the theme song backwards because it sounds like they're saying Boy, you're full of s@#$ in one part and that comes from someone who never even liked the show.
Kayla Wilson If you watch his "Top 6 Worst Religious Cartoons" list, VeggieTales is an honorable mention, and he said that he doesn't mind the show but he just isn't a big fan of the animation. But still, I would love to hear his opinion on the whole show.

He tells them he'll be killed by the humans for their false human messiah and tells them to sacrifice the humans.
I've seen none of these, but "The Lion of Judah" is probably the best animated. As a Christian, I agree that there should be finer programmes. "The Prince of Egypt," "Joseph: King of Dreams," and "My Last Day" (anime short) are our only masterpieces.
There are few good religious (Christian) films. But the ones that are good are great: -The Last Temptation of Christ -Silence -Dogma (yeah, it’s a satire, but it’s has heart and a great message) -The Prince of Egypt Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment lol

As a former Christian, I honestly feel that ending a lot, I'm now an Athiest, but it wasn't always that way because my family indoctrinated me as a kid and used to force me to go to Church every Sunday. I only managed to break free of that because I decided to make a choice for myself after really looking closely at what was in the Bible vs. what I believed in and those two things didn't line up. Like, at all. And honestly, what matters more to Christian groups really is the indoctrination, especially of kids because kids are information sponges who know no better, that's exactly what I was before I made my own decision. A lot of other kids can't or won't make their own decision due to fear of their family or their church shunning them, trust me it happens a whole lot more than Christian people will make you believe. These movies really were just a few examples of the ways they try to force their ideals onto children, and I might be overstating this in someone else's opinion, but it sickens me. Kids should be allowed to build their own beliefs and ideals, not be forced into someone else's.

One thing that always bothered me was that in every christian movie, the characters are all white... yeah.. in middle east, 2000+ years ago, Jesus was a blond with blue eyes
Yeah! I always wondered that. Though to be fair the Romans were white, but everyone else should be dark tan/black.

Also, happy early 30th birthday! Do you want me to do anything for you to celebrate it? You can let me know in messenger if you want to do anything together or whatever. 😊
