i legit bawled like a baby when master Oogway passed on. it was such a beautiful scene and such a healthy way to process death. its not always scary, harsh and brutal. it can be quiet, calm and peaceful. something faced with grace and acceptance. no fear for what awaits.
funnily enough, legend of the kung fu rabbit got a sequel called martial fire and it was actually really good. they got rid of the big the cat voice on the rabit and gave him a normal sounding voice so he actually sounds like a sensible person. the movie itself is also worth at least a watch through if you want to see it. it also has waifus

My grandma bought me one of these movies for christmas. When my birthday came around a few months later and my mom asked what I wanted, I said "for grandma to be put in a home". True story. Not really but you get it.
I knew I would see two movies I watched in this list I watched "The Legend of a Rabbit" (Chinese version w/ English sub, it's better than American version) and "The Prodigy" when I was young child who had no idea of how characterization and plot works TLoaR Chinese version is actually better, but the main character is still un*bear*able. The Prodigy... I was clueless child that anything I can watch is something I can enjoy, even with bad plot or bad character, but that crap said otherwise. Ugh, I still remember of how the main character and the prince fell in love with creepy faces as the song keep playing behind and camera slowly zooming in their creepy smiling(?) face. This movie is your typical "The prince has been kidnapped by the villains because thot fell in love with him, main character journeys to the lair and must stop the villain before she gives a love potion to the prince for marriage." And yes, I still remember it. Can one even heal the scar? It's always there to remind the experiences *_It's absolutely horrendous._*

I remember watching ''The Prodigy'' back in elementary school, basically after class, our teacher would show us a movie, some classmates would bring movies from their home and then we made votes, the most voted movie would be the one we were going to watch. Then I think some kid actually brought ''The Prodigy'', and everyone wanted to watch it because kung-fu panda was a thing back then, and we thought the movie was related to it. So after a while, I remember being pretty confused because it was obvious that that had nothing to do with kung-fu panda, but my classmates said the movie was kung-fu panda from the future, and that panda was Po but old, and the girl was his daughter (i know, I know, but we were kids back then). Luckilly my dad came to pick me up sooner that day, so thanks to him I did not have to torture my self watching that sick piece of garbage movie.
I saw the Panda Adventures thing while staying in a hotel. All I remember is waking up and seeing that pig-goblin creature flailing around on the screen and later some Chikorita/onion hybrid beasts and bipedal cats straight from Hell. Word of advice to whomever made that mess...if your protagonists are making the giant spider they're fighting look adorable in comparison, then you're doing something wrong.
"Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit" was actually successful in China, so successful that it received a sequel with a bigger budget from investors. The sequel actually is pretty good and despite not receiving a western release got an English Dub for Malaysian audiences and it isn't bad. The sequel "Legend of a Rabbit: The Martial of Fire" was actually really good with a 3rd film currently in development, as well as getting TWO Television shows, one with 3D animation and another looking like Hello Kitty for younger audiences (With the Hello Kitty style show getting a spinoff movie). It is a very successful Brand (Yes Brand) in China and is continuing to grow. Go big or go home I guess. I wonder what it would be like if Kung Fu Panda and Legend of a Rabbit had a crossover. Hey @PhantomStrider, I recommend checking this out.

@@ExtremeWreck I disagree. Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Shaman King, Dinosaur King, Winx Club, Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, and Ultimate Muscle were good dubs. The only 4Kids dubs that I can name that were pretty terrible were One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. I do agree about the voice acting being good. Extreme Wreck 2000 To be fair, their dub of One Piece was pretty terrible, and 4Kids openly stated that they hated localizing it because it was really ruining their reputation. Mostly its terrible quality came from the strict TV standards of networks that 4Kids aired their dubs on, which is why their dubs have all that censorship. Funimation and Viz Media used to have this problem before they released their dubs uncut on DVD and put most of their dubs on Adult Swim.
@@Macandbloo11 Though I am kinda surprised to see that when it came to other companies(and 4Kids themselves with Shaman King), it felt as if they stretched the limits with what they could show in their dubs(Look at the English dub of Three Friends And Jerry for instance, they kept some of the crossdressing in for some unknown reason).
I didn't think there was an animated kung-fu movie worse than "Little Panda Fighter". I can definitely see the logic in the picks, and am pleased that I was not exposed to them. How telling that #2 is connected to an earlier entry by narrative. And yes, The Prodigy looks like an Uwe Boll wet dream.

Ok story time! So an old friend of mine was tasked to go to walmart and see if she could find Kung Fu Panda on DVD for a movie night. She came home with Number 1 on this list and a ripoff of Puss in Boots. The next week we decided to browse the local dollar store, a place known for stocking knockoffs of everything. ... we found both movies, Kung Fu Panda and Puss in Boots among their DVDs. ... how?????

My dad got the DVD version of The Prodigy years ago. I knew it was going to be bad just by looking at the cover. But it surpassed all my expectations at being so hideous.

The legend of A Rabbit is actually a decent sequel to legend of the kung fu Rabbit. It also has been dubbed in English for the Uk market.

Extreme Wreck 2000 To be fair, their dub of One Piece was pretty terrible, and 4Kids openly stated that they hated localizing it because it was really ruining their reputation. Mostly its terrible quality came from the strict TV standards of networks that 4Kids aired their dubs on, which is why their dubs have all that censorship. Funimation and Viz Media used to have this problem before they released their dubs uncut on DVD and put most of their dubs on Adult Swim.
@@Macandbloo11 Though I am kinda surprised to see that when it came to other companies(and 4Kids themselves with Shaman King), it felt as if they stretched the limits with what they could show in their dubs(Look at the English dub of Three Friends And Jerry for instance, they kept some of the crossdressing in for some unknown reason).

I didn't think there was an animated kung-fu movie worse than "Little Panda Fighter". I can definitely see the logic in the picks, and am pleased that I was not exposed to them. How telling that #2 is connected to an earlier entry by narrative. And yes, The Prodigy looks like an Uwe Boll wet dream.
If you like martial arts animation, I highly recommend Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart.
Or OK KO let's be hero's.

Legend of a Rabbit is actually my favorite KFP “rip off” because it was almost it’s own thing, unlike the others!
Legend of the kung fu Rabbit is actually a prequel to this film and it’s actually even worse.
Its second movie was really great the first one may had Been a ripe off but the second one is a original story with great animation

So an old friend of mine was tasked to go to walmart and see if she could find Kung Fu Panda on DVD for a movie night. She came home with Number 1 on this list and a ripoff of Puss in Boots.
The next week we decided to browse the local dollar store, a place known for stocking knockoffs of everything.
... we found both movies, Kung Fu Panda and Puss in Boots among their DVDs.

The dumbest thing about rip-offs Is that the producers KNOW they’re ripping off a popular movie and expect it to become just as famous.

My dad got the DVD version of The Prodigy years ago. I knew it was going to be bad just by looking at the cover. But it surpassed all my expectations at being so hideous.
