keep going Ox, I was level 2 qualified when I was 21/22 now 30. regretted not getting stuck into the bricky world! Was just so hard at the time to get into a gang who trusted you. There's always time 🙌
What I love is you guys prove you dont need Milwaukee or festool to do the job . One thing I love is the connection between you and your dad Stu. You should re-name this channel best brickies because of K.C and yourself .
I’m a paver and an amateur bricklayer, neat but slow. I absolutely love pointing with a key on flags or brick. It’s therapeutic as fook! Keep up the good work lads.
About 6 year's ago I extended a flat roof porch for a friend's mum... toothed the face of the existing brick...dug footings and extended it by a few foot. Bricked around new door and window frame measurement's. I then put a small pitched roof on to stop the damp. Got on my bike and rode home thinking wtf am I doing 🤣🤷♂️ Love the vids' Stu and boss work pal!

Not sure how popular they are in the UK. But in Canada we often use pointing bags (basically like a bakers icing bag) really speeds up the process and helps keep the bricks cleaner. A full day of it though and your forearms and wrist are gonna hate you
Agreed. Key point that when re-pointing homes. Stops the mortar having the ability to just fall out in big lumps after it has set. Seen it happen on a family members home, council repointed bad brickwork and big lumps fell out 2 or 3 weeks later lol.
It always makes me sad when I see people with leaks into their homes. Theres far too much knowledge amount the construction industry that leaks should be non existent but there always that 5% weak link in a process where someone says "arrr that'll be arightt" then boom damage done in a year or two. Great vid Stu. Liking the slo-mo editing use it a bit more in the future. Thumbs up. Loving the enthusiasm you still have for the channel years on.
He`s not tuckpointing he`s re-pointing as it says in the title. For the last 25 years I`ve used an old plastering trowel as a hawk with no problem and I use a cut down part of an old steel bucket handle to point up cos I prefer it.
That was a technical roof fix there Stu !, are you sure your not a mechanic, have done that a few times a day , looking good on the PPE equipment there , even better at Wickes with the old Trade Pro 10 % discount card , much cheaper that BNQ, and as you say 15 Quid for 2 pound bags of sand !!!, great video boys keep it up and congrats on the Made In Dubai video , better sand there and I bet its cheap , Not , hope the soft drinks included Vimto! !😂😂😎😎😎😎
thanks for this brick pointing tutorial, at around 8:00 you said you got some cement, you mean only pure Poland cement or it is mixed with sand , and if it is mixed with sand, what is the sand and cement ratio ? 1:3 ? thanks
Please show me how to change one friggin' brick please, It's chipped on the corner, I found nine bricks buried about the yard and garden, they match the ones from when my house was built in 1927.

pain in the arse to re fill also you go over joint twice, once to fill it then twice to finish it, you end up taking twice as long
