My dad was a brickie for 40+ years, he'd be well happy with that. Good thought and planning too, it's what makes a job, a good job 👍

I like that you showed tucking in the toothing upper bed before you cover it up. No one shows it but its so crucial to do that before you lay that course.

Hey Stu. Mate you gotta get yourself an Arbortech! Makes life so much easier with toothing 👍🏽
Also the clamp you're using for you line is really for steel frame doors, we usually use dutch pins and pack our profiles out off the wall so the line can slide up, and use regular corner blocks so the line can wrap right around the profile..
    Top job as always mate👍🏽

Nice FULL JOINTS all over the gaff none of that "oh it will be alright" business.
If theres one thing I take away from you showing us your skilled work it is full joints of muck no exceptions. Top man.
Great choice of the music for your intro, shazammed and added to the playlist.

You know the pros are at work when it looks so easy to do.
I was given a pile of tools and I could not tell what an entire tool box was even for. Someone finally told me that they were brick laying tools. Where I grew up, there must only be a small handful of brick buildings. Shipping brick to Alaska must be expensive.

Great work, but in most cases I think it makes more sense to fill a door or window in like a picture frame without saw toothing unless it's absolute to the design appearence and you have a perfect brick match. Most attempts to make changes invisible are hopeless and cost about double. Some simple accents or a pattern makes it look better like a church window.

15 yr union mason tender here from SW CT USA... good job, nice work, good craftsmanship with the video production top shelf- the whole thing being oddly satisfying to watch
Glad to see water with the demo saw.
Today stopped at the light some knuckleheads were doing the sidewalk in brick pavers and their labor was doing the cuts dry wirh the lot of them without masks ... a giant cloud driftin over, dusting the cars and of course filling their lungs.
2 questions though - are not 75mm clean used brick available esp for such a small job? Not just for dimension, which no one will notice, but maybe a better color match
And why isnt Dad wearing safety specs when beating the wall with that brick set?
Tell him he don't need to plumb the his work just follow the face of the wall like you are doing outside
Other than real tight. That 1/2 @ 11:22 is visible to only you and anyone who picks that up with think is a bricky showing off. Nice solution
I'd tend for you any day
