Happy birthday, Tig!! And there’s no such thing as a disappointing birdie, Garrett. Hope the grips help but don’t be too critical on yourself…your game is top notch TH-cam content!🙂
Please I need someone to help me trade or invest the forex or crypto market because I'm tired of trading in losses myself. I've blown my account twice and it's frustrating.
I moved from Mid-sized with extra wraps to JumboMax XL Grips and LOVE them! They definitely take your hands out of the swing and stop you from getting "flippy", but allows you to put a Harder hit on the back of the Ball.
I agree I think those grips will train you to keep your hands more passive which is why you're hitting a fade when you first tried them. The more you get used to them the more you'll be able to get that gentle high draw by left wrist bow and more rotation instead of flipping the hands closed which can cause the big ol' snap hook if you overdue it
I just was told I should be using midsize grips. I tend to keep the club face closed to promote a snap. When I made sure club was square, I was hitting baby fade then back to draw. Still on standard grips but again looking to utilize midsize grips. Had it on a 5w and liked it. Produce more fades but seems I work the draw.
Personal opinion if you got the plus 4 wrap golf pride then the double wrap under most likely wasn’t necessary. It will take the feel out of the club with all those wraps. Just what I learned from personal experience. Maybe something to look into with your wedges to get rid of your double wrap but still use same grips.
Agreed... I would have just switched to midsized without the wraps and then transitioned if it didn't have the intended effect. A midsize grip is 2 wraps under the standard. I wonder if he switched back.
I got thicker grips about 7 years ago. I think over time you will like it a lot. Dang, you are at my home course! That 3rd hole you played the fairway kicks left. 🤣
I moved to double wrapped with a mid size and they feel so good. I've got big mitts, so the difference is real. But having a thicker grip helps slow down rotation just a touch.
So I have huge hands too. I was thinking I'd be able to turn my hands over easier with bigger grips rather than feeling I'm holding pencils. What do you feel like with the larger ones if you're trying to hit a draw?
Everyone considering going bigger and or heavier grips: Make sure, if you know your clubs well, that you understand adding weight to the grip can change the swing weight. That could result in a completely different feel and release. It may take some tinkering to get it right. In the past I’ve gotten one grip and put it on my 7i for a test club. Then you can mess with swing weight and what not on 1 club vs all seven or eight irons- for example.
Just went with the Jumbo Max medium grips. They are actually lighter than the normal grips I replaced and that is their claim to fame. Just ask Bryson. LOL Definitely a learning curve with the larger grips!
Garrett I have been watching your videos ( along with Tig and sometimes the guys) for a while and never commented. Love your attitude and mellow personality, always trying to lift people up! Fried egg 🍳finishing hole= Happy Birthday Tig... Like the grips BTW clean looking
Happy Birthday Ole Man Micah!! Blessings to G-Man, Birthday Boy and Katie. Keep the Brand growing and best wishes for continued success from Richard in Cosby, east Tennessee. ONE LOVE!!
Grats on the new grips. Def do the work to figure out the deal with the new grips and the wedges, that is the best part of your game, imo! Happy B-day Tig!
I've only been playing golf for 3 months and decided to regrip my driver and pitching wedge, since they are my best clubs, and they are way better to use than any other grip!
I'm getting these grips and fitted for all my current clubs in the off-season when Golf Town up here in Canada does the half price grips and free installation. Got some old Ping i3 blades for next to nothing and loving them, but they're a touch too long, and the grips aren't great. But next year, I will have the POWER! Golf Pride grips are pretty much the best. Got a Pro Only green star pistol grip put on my putter and it's awesome.
Happy birthday Tig! You are striking the ball as good or better than ever Garret, I'd say those grips are an A+. BTW - I also switched all my grips over to the GolfPride CP2 Wrap Midsize grips in blue at the beginning of the year!
Happy Birthday to Tig whenever the actual day is. I hope this next year bears fruit to your golf game. I like the grips Garrett. Mine are similar, just not double wrapped.
I use oversized grips on my woods and midsize on my irons. I like you am taller and have longer hands so it helps me get a easier grip without to much effort. I have been using the super stroke cross comfort as it doesn’t taper as much this like yours stays thicker for the right hand.
Same grips for me MCC +4. I put mine on on most of my clubs last summer and when I get a new club I put these on right away. They are expensive, but they work well. At the time, last summer, they reduced my driver & 3-wood slice quite a bit.
I think the plus4 is about 2 grams heavier than normal grips and with another 2 layers of tape adds another 3 grams or so making your grip end another 5 grams heavier for all your clubs. Did you redo all the swing weights of your clubs? Otherwise every club will have a different swing weight which can really throw you off your rythym in the swing.
Happy birthday Tig ! 🇦🇺 from down under. Great graphic for the scorecard Garrett even for the head to head sat and sun matches would be interesting to see that graphic with how that result came out-
I love your swing it seems to be effortless I ordered new clubs I’ve always played with midsize grips and my new clubs are coming with standard grips I’m kind of looking forward to trying these out.
had those grips on my irons and hated them. actually made it hard for me to turn my hands over and constantly hit shots right or was leaving the face open.
I just switched to midsize a month ago. Started hitting more of a fade, strengthened my grip a little to correct it a touch. I've hit a draw for 20 years, but I think I actually like fading my drives. I don't know why, but once I started, I don't want to go back.
I switched to CP2 midsize a few weeks ago I have really big hands I was hitting a hook from flips in my hands from time to time and my shots wouldn't be real consistent sometimes a slight draw and sometimes I'd hit it straight. In like 4 trips practicing I've now got a high fade consistently. I haven't hit a hook in 200+ swings...knocks on wood
I changed from standard to midsize about a year ago and changed back within 2 months - for me personally I started slicing the ball way more and blocking them left and right. It also made the head feel way smaller and lighter and I also seemed to of lost around 3-5 yards on my usual distances. Pretty crazy what a grip can do! I was also using golf pride mcc grips.
@@shaunb9876 check the spacing of your middle fingers against your palm on your lead hand. If the fingers are already touching your palm I wouldn't go up a size. More prone to slicing because you have less control of the club at impact. If your fingers are digging into your palm then you can probably go 1 size up
I like the scorecard that pops up after the hole - please keep this in future videos.
I agree

Nice content. To me, trading the forex and crypto market is way better than any online investment 💯
You are right but the market is profiting if you are using really a good broker or account manager to help out with trades or provide signals

I played midsize for a few years. I prefer them over standard grips…just feels like I have more control.
I moved from Mid-sized with extra wraps to JumboMax XL Grips and LOVE them!

“If only I could putt” should have got another wrap on the putter 😂

Was this man using a practice ball 😂 Doesn’t even matter, what a pro
I use these grips in Midsize. You really notice the bottom hand size when you're chipping. You'll get used to them in no time G -Man
And this was all the motivation I needed…. Bought a full set of +4 align grips after this video!
i got them too midsize but i might switch to winn grip lol
Best decision you'll ever make on grips. I just got them for the first time and I'll never go back to standard size.
I got thicker grips about 7 years ago. I think over time you will like it a lot. Dang, you are at my home course! That 3rd hole you played the fairway kicks left. 🤣
I did the same thing and went to the +4 grips, took a minute to get used to but then was so much better! Love mine
Just the perfect “ohhh!” When it lips out 🤣🤣 love the vids Garrett 👍🏼 Congrats on 500k

It’ll slow your hand rotation down alright- you’ll hit nothing. It power fades like the euros

I went to the thicker grips recently as well. Dropped my HCAP 3 strokes. It's just a lot harder to miss left.

Exactly the same grip I use and I use 2 wraps of tape too. Helped my game tremendously
I love your swing it seems to be effortless I ordered new clubs I’ve always played with midsize grips and my new clubs are coming with standard grips I’m kind of looking forward to trying these out.
What are the results? Did you stay with the new grips, or did you switch back to mid size
Happy birthday tig!!!

Happy birthday lil Tiggy!
Are those the midsizes? I’m not sure if he said it or not? I know they are the plus 4’s
Love my Aligns, made a nice difference in the feel

With bigger grips and extra wraps, did your clubs feel lighter? Should have changed swing weight by one?
Love the good good colours. Do you ship merchandise to the UK?
Ya boy looking buff 💪🏼
Your gonna love them. I play 7 build up with 1 piece of two sided tape and a mid sized grip.
Damnnn they're fresh lookin grips
Fire grips love the merch drop

Great content Mr. Rat! And happy birthday Tigasaurus!!
Golf pride… another sponsor get your bag gmoney
Really impressed! I threw larger grips on my set and missed everything right. Went down a size and hit them straight as a arrow.
This exact thing happened to me. What does Garret do on hole 1? Misses right lol
You just have to get used to turning the hands more because the grips are bigger.
I haven't hit a hook in 200+ swings...knocks on wood
garrett out here using range balls hahaha
Happy birthday, Tig!

Whats good garrett, love the content, keep up the hard work.
Changing to midsize was a total game changer for me!
This is my fear in changing from your slice comment haha
100% agree Jack- the MCC+4 midsize really goofed my ball flight. Back to standard MCC and all is well now
@@shaunb9876 check the spacing of your middle fingers against your palm on your lead hand. If the fingers are already touching your palm I wouldn't go up a size. @@TheAboriginal1 yeah mine were digging as I have long fingers. Went a size up. Feeling good so far 🙌🏼
Before the lesson get a putter fit you have a consistent right miss so your face balanced putter needs to be a slight arc to help pull you straight
Love the new score card on the screen!
Happy Birthday, Tig!!
did they adjust the headweight? +2 wraps with these grips will lower swingweight 1-2 pts
Happy birthday Big!!!!
Happy birthday Tig! 🐯🐊🥳🎉
Ive got midsize grips on all my clubs. The iron feel great but im thinking driver/3 wood should be standard grips due to over fading.
Happy Birthday 🎉🎂🎁 Tig!
C'mon maaaaaannnn you GOTTA make that putt!
Why double wrap if you sized up grips already?
