That's very nice of you to go out and support the local markets❤
5:50 The little baskets are for steamed salted short mackerel (Pla Too in Thai). It's a traditionally a staple food in Thailand, fried and served with Namprik Kapi (shrimp paste chilli dip), jasmine rice and boiled vegetable. It smells a bit funky to me personally but if you like fish, please try it😁
10:37 Custard Apple or Sugar Apple (Noi Naa in Thai) It's a sweet, creamy and yummy seasonal fruit. If you like mangosteen, you will enjoy it. Just break it with your hands and enjoy the white meat, but be careful of the seeds. Don't eat the green outer shell.
Also, it's Gin Jay (vegetarian) Festival now, from Oct 2-11. Hope you guys have time to check out China Town coz it's a major event🍀
That's fruit called noina or apple custard...very tasty...you should try...
10:35 That's are custard apples. If it hard at the stall, need to wait a few day until soften. It's in season now. To eat, just peel the green peel and eat the white sweet flesh inside then spit the seed out.
Love the video and happy that you guys enjoy living it Thailand.
Looking forward to seeing you guys experiencing Thai vegetarian festival 😊
5:52 they are for mackarels
10:44 Custard Apple (น้อยหน่า-Noi Nah) taking out scale-like peel then you eat the fresh or deseed and pop the flesh in the freezer enjoythem like ice-cream
Sometimes I wonder why locals shop at supermarkets for produce when the markets are so cheap but I guess having everything in place is a factor. I love shopping in the markets. You can see things you haven't before.
You guys are eating like Thai people now. ESAN sausages with chilly… Awesome !!
That green water made from leaf call Ya-Nang, it’s ingredient for cooking not juice for drink.
I'm waiting for you to explore outside of Bangkok.
Huai Khwang , This is the market near my home since childhood. As a child, I walked past this market on my way to school every day.
I miss that area.
It definitely felt very local. Do you live far away now?
@@ChovyTravel Yes, I moved out to my new home about 20years ago.
we usually eat cashew nuts with salt, so we just put salt into the bag then shake before we eat :D
and I think if the pork isn't cooked all the way, you can ask them for the new one. when i encountered a situation like this I got a new one every time (but some vendor might not, i guess, idk)
Great vlog ❤ as always, Love it ,Thank you .... ❤ from 🇿🇦 ❤😀
You should try Samyan Market (ตลาดสามย่าน) one of the best local market
The dark green juice is fresh squeezed from a kind of leave. We called Yar Nang (ย่านาง). It’s for soup based and put a lot of veggies to boil them with this fresh juice. Thai Northeast dish, it is also my favorite dish too. Not easy to find in the restaurant, you have to cook at home or some northeast Thai restaurant.
Oh yeah?! We’ll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation! 👍👍
@10:35 those are sugar apples. SUPER SWEET AND DELICIOUS!
Noi Nah (in thai)
Eat it when it's ripe and soft. Use a spoon to scoop out the creamy meat and spit out the big seed.
12:44 haha!
Lol 😆 she likes her food spicy 🌶️
Nice market. Yeah, definitely felt like a wet market. Hope you didn't get sick from eating that kao ka moo. 😮
Lol yeah, thank goodness we didn’t get sick. 😅 We cooked the moo ping when we came home. Thank goodness for microwaves lol 😝
you guys must look so peculiar to the locals, eating by the roadside and talking into a camera. 😀
Yeah maybe 🤔 we always get the look 👀 when we go out to film hehe 😜
14:30 ร้านนี้เป็นร้านของคนมุสลิม อย่าถามหาหมูนะคะ
ดูไม่สะอาด แต่สะอาด😅😊
Thais eat cashew nuts with salt as a snack.
