I work in the Spitalfields area and unfortunately have not yet come across that restaurant as I have a bit of due to an accident with my knee and I am currently at the end of the healing process. For the price of one dish in London, you can easily get 10 times the amount of food in Thailand. No wonder so many British teachers choose to work in Thailand. They get the same pay more or less as in the UK, but the cost of living is a tiny fraction of UK cost.
I have to say you are doing OK if your 5 year old is wanting Khao Man Gai instead of Chicken Nuggets and Chips. I am starting to think that London now has better Thai food than Aus, a bit expensive though. Glad to see London now has decent Coffee. 21 years since I have been to the UK, only a few more and I'll be able to afford to go back. This video actually made me miss it.
He still tries his luck for a nugget now and again haha. Very expensive mate but it’s so expensive to buy ingredients here I don’t mind so much for a little treat once in a while
You've done a real service to your son by exposing him to a variety of cuisines. I know some people who only know meat and potatoes and they not only have limitations with travelling, going to people's houses for dinner, but just have a smaller world view.

Yesterday l was in a cute bakery that l know for very traditional handmade, 1 very good croissant and a nice coffee, for 2,50 €, close to the sea. 3,50 in London 😮 for a nice coffee is quite expensive. I mean it's not affordable for a French or an Italian or Spanish people. Looks like everything is expensive in London, to live, to eat, to drink, to drive,,, 😢😮
