Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
You’re so sweet! 🥰
Watching your vlogs makes me want to retire in Thailand lol. Delicious foods and warm weather and affordable living.
😅 Maybe you should. It is definitely great here in Bangkok Thailand
Your face when you tried the hainese chicken and rice was the best. You weren’t sure if it would be really good but your face said it all. One of the best reactions yet
😁 It was delicious 🤤. I wish I lived close by… I would buy that so often 😁
I LOVE SEEING YOU ENJOY AND LAUGH 😊😊
Thank you so very much! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Really appreciate the love!
Bael or Woodapple ("Matoom" in Thai) is used in traditional medicine to ease fever, infection, upset stomach, fatique. Aside from Matoom tea, you can also find it dried, sugar coated, or even in baked goods. My grannie made Matoom cake, but it's surely an aquired taste. Grilled banana with coconut sauce is my favorite snack❤ Keep up the good work guys😊
I’m definitely interested in trying the Matoom in the dried or fresh or any form actually 🤔😅
Very Nice! Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 appreciate the support! 😃
Dried bael is used to make the tea you had. Search for มะตูมเชื่อม (sugar coated bael) on line, I think you can find it quite easily. Even in Wanglang market, some dry sweet stalls do have sugar coated bael for sale. As for bael cake, check out B Story Cafe in front of Rachathewi BTS station. The cafe is very pretty and accessable. Sometimes they have unique cakes like durian and bael, but maybe it's better to call and check coz it they may be seasonal. Or, if you have a chance to go to Wat Pho, I think Ha Tien cafe (near The Deck) also serves bael cake too.
Hi guys had the chance to meet you before we walked to chatuchak market. Thanks for the selfie. Keep it up guys!!! Take care
Hello! It was Nice meeting you guys 😉

There are lots of fun in market.
It is like food adventure in daily life.
100% Agree! We need to find some more morning markets. Do you have any you consider your favorite?
26:33 that tea is from the dry fruit “bael”. In Thai we call it.Matoom “😅
First time ever having it. It was pretty good 😅
Bael fruit is a herb that Thai people are familiar with and accustomed to because it has been processed into a variety of desserts and drinks and is easily available. In particular, bael fruit is used to make candied bael fruit, bael fruit cake, bael fruit jelly, or bael fruit juice, which is another type of herbal drink that people like to drink because it is an herb that is easy to eat. Therefore, bael fruit is used as a medicine to treat various symptoms. Widely used, such as treating diarrhea, expelling gas, and helping with laxatives. Most of the time, we often see the use of the fruit or pulp to eat as food or relieve symptoms. However, other parts of the bael tree, such as leaves, roots, and bark, also have medicinal properties.
The scientific name of the bael tree is Aegle marmelos (L.) Correa ex Roxb. It is in the Rutaceae family. Its English name is Bael, or other names such as Bael fruit tree, Bengal quince, Bilak, Indian bael, Tree bael, or local Thai names such as Katantathera, Tumtang, Tum, Phanong, Mapin, and Mapisa. It is a perennial tree, 10-15 meters tall. The leaves are compound fingers arranged alternately. The leaflets are elliptical or egg-lanceolate with rounded edges. The flowers are clustered at the leaf axils and at the ends of the branches. The outer petals are light green and the inner petals are pale. The leaves and flowers are fragrant. The fruit is a fresh fruit with yellow flesh and mucus (1).@@ChovyTravel
Your Thai is getting better, compared to the earlier videos :)
Thank you so very much! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Definitely trying 😅
Foreigners are not used to eating fruits with rice like sticky rice with mango. Your egg custard is Khanom mo kaeng which is coconut milk, eggs and flour with fried shallots and my grandmother is the best at making it. These are not available anywhere else but they are easy to find in Thailand. The fruit Caroline doesn't recognize is the custard apple. What Anthony drinks is bael (Aegle marmelos) juice.
Very True! That was such an interesting snack! Make sure you get her recipe 😃. How do you eat the custard apple?
@@ChovyTravel Custard apples are ripe when their flesh is soft. Their skin and seeds are inedible. Cut in half, scoop out the flesh and discard the seeds. Use the flesh raw in fruit salads, ice creams, milk shakes and yoghurt drinks. But the easiest way that I recommend is to buy some for a Thai friend and see how he eats them. It will be easier to understand with your eyes.
Ur Thai language is better and better! Keep up the good work!
Tyty! 😅 Hopefully we continue to improve! Appreciate the continued love and support! 🥰❤️🫰🙏

Have u been to " Wat ( Temple ) So-thorn vo-ra vi-harn " in Chacheongsao province , 60 KMS from Bangkok ? This is a very long historical & very very holy temple where lots of Thai people going there for making a wish from " Luang-Por ( Monk ) So-Thorn " everyday and lots of nice food stalls in front of the temple..........
Oh really? Maybe we can check it out when we get our international drivers license 🪪😊 Thanks for the suggestion! 🫶🏻
Love the vibe of any morning market and glad you enjoyed it.
I hope you guys visit other provinces in the near future. There are so many interesting foods and cultures to explore.
It’s wonderful! The only hard part is waking up early 😅
We will in the future and I bet there is! 😃
Coconut shavings are used to make coconut milk. You put a bit of water and squeeze. You should definitely try the grenade looking fruit.
Wait until they are soft and eat the white flesh inside and split out the black seeds
As for the "herbal" drink, it's made from wood apple.
Btw, we are fans of the channel!
Coconut milk?? Wow so interesting!!! If we see the fruit again, we will try to buy it 😀 thanks for letting us know and thank you so much for the love 💕 Really appreciate it!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
looking at their fish sauce, I think they didn't joke about what most delicious haha...
😂 Yup!
Funny, that is the first morning market we visited when we got to Bangkok. We ate at the 25 baht stall with the guys working hard. 😅 Didn't realize where you were until I saw those guys . 😂
How funny! 😂
วันนี้สนุกมากๆ ลองอาหารหลายอย่าง ❤❤
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Hi Anthony - Hi Caroline.
Is it a every day morning market or only at weekend?
At which time the market will be closed?
Thanks a lot and a lot of such nice videos!
I believe it’s every morning. Google claims 5:30am to 9pm but morning markets usually end at 9-10am.
Np! Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
You can’t go wrong with pad krapow.
That’s right! 😀 can’t agree more
This market is very reasonable price ; I will follow you to visit this market! (Anyway I’m Thai. But i curious that you may know a hidden gem place more than me right now 😂)
100% Agree! We love this market
Thank you so very much! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Appreciate the love and support!
😅 We’re continuously trying to research new places 😁
Caroline like sticky rice with Thai custard(sangkhaya) more than Khanom morkang.
Kaomankai or Hainanese chicken rice❤🎉😊, the most famous one is at MonTien Hotel.,near Soi Prachoom.😊😊😊
Thanks for letting us know! 😊👍 what’s the name of the shop near Soi Prachum? Maybe we can go there in the future 😀🩵🩵
@@ChovyTravel Ruen Ton restuarant, Montien Hotel,let's try.❤🎉😊
Call and make a reservation, don't miss.😊😊😊
4:51 Thai people call “khanom mor kaeng” ingredients is egg, mung bean, coconut milk, palm sugar and on top is fried shallots
Another one “khao neeo sangkaya” sweet sticky rice with thai custard, the custard made from egg, palm sugar, coconut milk
The grill banana is my favorite 😊
We never had them before and it was awesome trying all of them!! 💗💗
I would recommend going to Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market on a Sunday holiday in Phra Pradaeng. There is a lot of food there.
Really!? Any particular seller that is your favorite at this floating market? We have never been to a floating market before 🤔
Guys, the second market you went, is called "Food Court Silom Soi 10" which is super crowded lunch time
Oh! Thanks for letting us know 😀🫶🏻
Enjoy eating 😊😊😊😊😊
Thai food sellers in local markets are so amazing, friendly and lovely. I love my country
100% Agree! 😃
You Explonring street food market
Yup! 😁
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰🫰❤️🙏
มะตูม = Bael fruit or "Aegle marmelos"
First time coming across it. Not even sure how it looks like in person or tastes
ถ้าคุณพูดภาษาไทยได้นิดหน่อยคนไทยจะยิ้มครับ😊
Definitely agree! Wish we could speak more/better
สนุกดี
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
when you have pad grapow with egg, try putting kikkoman (or Maggi) soy sauce or any salty soy sauce on the egg. it enhances the flavor. if you were to do it thai style, thai people like to eat their fried eggs with prik nam pla which is fish sauce with chopped chilies, chopped garlic, and lime juice (some people even add some sugar and shallots into the recipe), served in a small condiment dipping bowl. Just take some of that prik nam pla sauce with your spoon and put it on your fried egg. Only recommended if you can tolerate the spiciness of Thai spicy chilies.
Might have to try that next time! Thank you for the Tip! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
I would have Caroline try it first to confirm how spicy it is 😅. I do like spicy but I don’t have as high a tolerance as Caroline does.
@@ChovyTravel Honestly, from my experience, most americans can't handle the spice level of the thai chili pepper, no offense, just stating general observation. But prik nam pla is worth a try if you are adventurous and daring enough. In thai they (Thai chilies) are called prik kee noo. It's about 15x to 20x hotter than a jalapeño. Just a warning though, if you just try thai chili pepper bare by itself without mixing it in with food, depending on how sensitive you are, it may cause you to have a coughing fit, as the throat may be too irritated because the individual's sensitivity level to chili peppers.
🎉❤❤🎉

Bael fruit =matoom in Thai
Will have to remember that for next time! Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
The chicken rice stall said "lan khoa long" means lunch box store, then the lady said in Thai call us whatever you like😊
Ahh Icic! 😅 whatever you like!? 🤣 That’s awesome!
What you eat that feels like eggs and tofu is called Khanom mo kaeng or another old name is Kumbhamat. It is an ancient dessert invented by a half Portuguese and half Japanese woman. Her name is Maria Guyomar de Pinha, a legend who created many Thai desserts since the Ayutthaya period. I can't remember if I've ever mentioned her to you. But I think I've explained it to you from stories about other Thai desserts. So this is an ancient Thai dessert that did not originate in Thailand because it probably developed from Western desserts.😊
What you see in the wet market. The shop is scraping the coconut meat into small pieces. That is how to make coconut milk. By taking the coconut meat that is scraped into small pieces like a large powder and pouring warm water in. Then squeeze it into coconut milk. The first squeeze will be the most concentrated coconut milk. The next time it will be diluted. In Thai food and Thai desserts, both types are used depending on the type of food being made.
The herbal drink you are drinking is Aegle marmelos (Bael). When boiled into a cold herbal drink, it has the properties of quenching thirst and cooling down, and athletes often drink it to reduce body temperature.
Interesting! Did remind me of Portuguese egg tart texture 😃
So it’s kind of like a fusion Thai Dessert in a way
So many use for those Coconut shavings! That’s awesome
Sounds like a herbal drink I should be drinking often considering I do overheat
ซื้อของกินเยอะมาก
Yes 😃
Lotus roots :)
I lied it is not lotus roots, it's dried bael
That was literally my thought too! 😃 No worries! Found out I like Bael after that drink 😁
Has anyone ever told you you sound like Randall Park?
Yes! 😅 Surprised I get that a lot
what's "ah loy ah loy"?
we have a famous Chinese guy here from olden days named Yap Ah Loy. he's got a building and a street named after him.
btw, coconut shavings are for making santan aka coconut milk, for curries etc.
Interesting! Curious how they make those curry dishes with the shavings 😃
@@ChovyTravel you add some water and keep squeezing the shavings.
Alloy alloy means yummi, yummi.
I never can step inside the Klong Toi Market because it wet and stinky . there is a big community called slum klong toi nearby.
Icic! Thank you for sharing! I definitely understand. Khlong Toei is definitely not the most sanitary.
@@ChovyTravel I didn’t mean to bully but it’s helpful for the low income to survive
That area are so many foreigners lives there , Indian, Muslim, so many Africans because it’s near jewelry center.
Really!? Definitely didn’t notice really much foreigners. Maybe it was too early 🤷
@@ChovyTravel yes , in Silom area people are not that early
In Thailand is multicultural
Where you buy the chicken rice is in front of the Muslim masjid even you can see symbol of Halal food on their vender
If you get to silom Rd., you will see Indian Temple Hinduism
@@ChovyTravel along the river are so many countries culture Influence like 150 years up
I suggest you go to Shangri-La Hotel by BTS SAPAN THAKSIN start to walk from Robinson. Bangrak .Muslim mousque by Arab trading since old time capital Ayutaya era

i drink loads of herbal tea but bael juice, i hated the taste so much
Really!? It wasn’t bad in a ice tea form. I’m curious how actual bael tastes like 🤔
@@ChovyTravel not sure either, i had it once at a restaurant. i shall try it again when i go to thailand. i never see bael juice in malaysia nor singapore.
Marvellous morning tour..thank you so much to both of you. Me and my spouse would like to meet up with you for breakfast on us . :) A different market hopefully you have not been to .How best can we connect from here please . Whatsapp best for me.
